Well I am not going to write with regards to the weather as ...not much has changed, but when I first arrived on this multiply I had went to visit my old dorm/residence friend. Now he is up here and I can tell you it's so great to run back into the some of the old friends that you have always entrusted. Pat went through one marriage and then went on to have a second marriage. As well, his parents passed away when he was only six years old.
Pat has never bloged and as he says "his blog is his telephone" a rather different way on things but regardless of that it's great to see him again and in the wee hours of the morning we are going to go out as he will be leaving tomorrow as he has to get back to his practice and as the saying goes if you have five friends from which you can count on. I think in many ways Pat is more like a brother. Within the first year of University I purposely choose a residence that was going to have entirely new people.
I will never forget after strolling the grounds with some of my other friends and then arriving at to my "the room", there was Pat asleep we all sat around and waited for him to wake up. He certainly did.
Through all the times and all my travels, he is one that I have stayed in contact over some 20 years.
However you know when you can just talk about anything and it's entrusted as a friend. Maybe tomorrow I will get a shot with the both of us. As it will be the last day, but if not good friends are good friends and hold them close as the worth is beyond words.
Good friends always remain.
I know what you mean
ReplyDeleteI have friends for life
no matter the distance
or how long we don't see each other
we we talk we take from as if we never been away
I used to say they were like sister but not they more than that because I was born into my family these friend where my choice
A friend gave me a door magnet that I like. I don't usually like things like those gee-gaws but this one is discreet. It has a pale pink rose in the background with black calligraphy on top saying, " A friend is one who knows you as you are, understands where you've been, accepts who you've become, and still gently invites you to grow."
ReplyDeleteFriends are forever. No need to explane why we didn't talk daily but happy when we do talk. It always seems that no matter how long time goes between conversations, the friendship still is solid. We have so few friends in life and to hold them close is very emportant.
ReplyDeleteIt's something that is just value and it truly nothing has really changed between us as friends - we have lived in different places but regardless of that
ReplyDeletehe is someone that I truly do see as a friend. I have not been on for two days and I thought I would share this.
It's amazing when you have that "karma" or connection regardless of the distance.
Karyn so true....it really is - I am getting old :)
ReplyDeleteKudos, I hear that! Have fun and love it.
ReplyDeleteWe all are getting older but younger with each passing day. If I knew then what I would love now, WOW! what would life have turned out like?
ReplyDeleteRandall, likewise here and it's a very important part within life as I see it. I find that I travelled so much whereas he stayed within one place perhaps he was living more within simplicity. Needless to say it's a great bond within life.
ReplyDeleteI cherish my past as well as the future but most of all I have come to find that simplicity is a rather good thing. I could not agree with you more...
ReplyDeletesounds like a wonderful friendship worth cherishing! enjoy your time!
ReplyDeleteA good friend is a friend forever. Hope you get that shot of the 2 of you
ReplyDeleteI always have thought if I didn't wake up at that moment in time, things would not have turned out the way they did. Well we all pick our paths, whether we choose them or not. But that is what we got in return. Now We wake up with a destiny and are driven to the next chapter. For that I wake up each day smiling. What in this world does this world have in store for me?
ReplyDeleteWe have and tomorrow morning we shall I am thinking of simplicity, by the way I could be wrong - happy birthday!
ReplyDeleteDanni me as well but we shall see he is on the first set of pictures of my blog.
ReplyDeleteThank you!!!
ReplyDeleteRandy I like the way you see that! The next chapter that is....
ReplyDeleteNo matter what happens just say I love you man. And a good hug, We need friends.
ReplyDeleteThought so a Happy One to you Arielle...
ReplyDeleteit is tomorrow but hoping it will be! thank you very much! very sweet!
ReplyDeleteMankind what never ment to be solo...
ReplyDeleteOne thing I figured out a long time ago. We never really say what needs to be said. Till it is too late. So I started saying it while the heart was still warm. It is better that way. It makes all the difference.
ReplyDeleteNow make tomorrow happen and make sure you say what you need too. Let him know he is your friend. Not like it really needs to be said, but just show how much it means to you..You will both walk away with a smile and will never be lonely because of it.
ReplyDeleteSorry getting too deep now. LOL
ReplyDeleteHave a great time.
ReplyDeleteJust back here we have already met but with his wife along with him we have this think where we swipe our noses and what it means is what is understood does not have to be discussed. We shall be out early within the morning...
ReplyDeleteOne of the fist pictures done on this blog and the person in the front is Pat.
ReplyDeleteNice shot. aaaahhh says a lot.
ReplyDeleteVery nice shot.
ReplyDeleteCharles you know you get are away from this and then when you turn it on and I will go around and then come back and within words this is just my own write for today. There are some good thoughts with regards to it all....as it's life..
ReplyDeleteFriends forever, just say it.
ReplyDeleteNow make a copy of the shot and put it on the wall.

ReplyDeleteNor me Terri, I guess this is a reflection of sorts...one can have many friends but at the same times there are those that are few and far between that you have had for the prominent part of your life. It is a blessing and inspiring in many ways.
ReplyDeleteYes and friendship is a blessing. It's great to have a friend that you are able to keep in touch with through the years. Enjoy the time together and take that picture :-)
ReplyDeleteVery nice photo!
ReplyDeleteShall try Cheryl, and I am not going to place a focus on pictures but rather more within the merits of friends....
ReplyDeleteAs well if I may mention I hope that all goes well within circumstances that you are facing - thought I would mention in a decent manner.
I am blessed to have a very good friend from my college days also.
ReplyDeleteHaving such friends is a true blessing!
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing like a good friend and I'm glad Pat is iin your life too.Wishing you the best today.
ReplyDeleteit's hard to find a best friend, when you found it, it is harder to keep it. I'm glad that you have one.
ReplyDeletecan't wait to know him!
Yes, I miss my friends.
ReplyDeleteIt's a great thing...
ReplyDeleteVery much so...
ReplyDeleteThank you Parrie, I have watched a movie while writing tonight and this is coming much later but a great Friday to you.
ReplyDeleteIt's all within the people within life some will remain friends and some won't but Sissy he does not blog, if was my own reflective while he was here.
ReplyDeleteCal some come and some go but within it all there is always a friend just around the corner.
ReplyDeleteYes, but lifelong friends are irreplaceable. Someone who knew you from school to adulthood is a little different from someone whom you've recently met.
