I have so many, " Blue eyes crying in the rain" Willie, "Amanda" Waylon Jennings " The River" Garth Brooks, "In the Garden" just about anyone, 'Amazing grace " El Divo, "Fernando" ABBA , and so many others
Thanks Grammy...now there are more faster with computing than I - this is for sure. Ironically you can't get it up North here - go figure....I thought that applied to just a few sites.
Actually I thought about this and I have to correct one song, The memory of "In the Garden" by my mother was the most beautiful, I can close my eyes and there she is singing that song. Maybe why it is so one of my favorites
Fly me to the Moon, Wonderful World and there's that 'Yellow' and the two songs by a dear friend ~' In the Garden,' the lyrics's so beautiful and lovely and so endearing and yes, 'Don't know why' the version made and sung by a dear friend.
I have a few, or maybe more but tonight on the radio I heard this from back in the day and I remember liking it and I wanted to hear it again, so I thought I might as well share it here.
Thousands of just about every kind there has been, beginning perhaps with the 1600 hit parade like 'Courante'. Music is one thing you can take with you when you cross over. Just everything you have ever listened to and enjoyed. Same with books. About 12 years ago it must have been, I can recall adding a prayer that I may be allowed to take all my books and CD's with me. This was a time when some very strange things were happening. Looking for an explanation we popped in to a spiritualist service, - only 3 days after my little prayer. When it came to the demonstration, the medium came to me and told me exactly what I had whispered in private 3 days earlier and then said that she could see books all around me and they seemed to be reaching up to the sky.
Oh, what a question! Hard to say, but in any case, ALL SONGS OF ROY ORBISON, also ALL versions -instrumentals & songs, world-wide - of "La Golondrina" of Narciso Serradell Sevilla /also known as "Las Golondrinas", but also few versions in Spanish known as "Adios Amor", etc... In English -"She Wears My Ring", in French "Cet Anneau D'Or", etc.../. INFO-anyone can help for my "La Golondrina" want-list, visit my blog, thank you very much in advance! Regards! IN DREAMS!
wow that is a hard one . right off the bat I would have to say Louis Armstrong doing " What a wonderful world " is right up there , and Etta James doing " At last " then I would have to say ahhhhhhhhhh I can not choose . I love the so many songs .

ReplyDeleteFanny Crosby's hymns. "To God Be The Glory" is one we sang Sunday. What an awesome lady she was, and left us with so many uplifting hymns. I also like Dolly Parton's rendition of "He's Alive" http://new.music.yahoo.com/dolly-parton/videos/view/hes-alive--2165116
