A New Week...

Time flys and with all that said sometimes I ponder if we think more about ourselves or if we do indeed think about those areas of life that are important to us. But then again that is me.

I believe in universal manner whereby all do have that chance to exchange, sure there is the "victim culture", and several "I" cultures that goes on with any blog but I tend to look towards the future.

May the week be for all of us and peace to you. Remember our very thoughts are what shape the world around us.

I bid you all a great week ahead.

Peace all...

Farewell Edward Kennedy...

I am dedicating my blog this evening to a man that served his up most to not only America but as well the world.

I thought I might be a good gesture after watching the ceremony of one of the last within the Kennedy family that has done more good in so many ways.

Rest in Peace Edward Kennedy

How Time Flys....

It's been a busy week and how on earth did it come to be this time already. You know the end of August. I seemed like just yesterday it was May and how time does fly. I have not been on here that much but at the same time I am sure you know what I mean you wish to embark with others and there writes.

The weather has improved and well as I sit here I just am amazed and how time does fly. Everyone has there own climate structure from where they are and I am looking forward to at least a few weeks of good weather.

Simple as it goes even during the last weekend of August!

A Question If I May....Reform

Why is there such anger with regards to reformation of the healthcare system in the States? It seems to me there has this is something that is of tremendous concern and I would honestly like to know what your thought of it are - there are systems all over the world from what I have seen I believe the best system in the world is within France yet there really is no perfect system anywhere, but I think that each country has brought about a system at different periods of time to service there own.

I feel that the idea of reform is always good regardless of the country.

Hello...

Well I have not been of since Monday. There were some family situations and I find that I really don't wish to dwell on it. Some have no problem with it whereas I like to write on things that there is not dessention.

I find right now that the media and the politics of health car reform have caused a dessention to some extent between so many countries. I think no country has the perfect system but there is meaning in what we do share.

Yes as many have told me "Jack this is your blog", but at the same time what subjects can one write about other than reporting on all the things that have taken place. As far as over here things have worked out for my father with his tests with his cancer that is in remission and every time it does happen it does take much out of the entire family.

I thought I would share that and I am just thinking of something to write and as well wishing everyone a good evening or good morning pending where you are from.

These certainly are motivational!

Within Sunday Afternoon

Within all the blogs I have been up early, I tend to be one that just remarks within the day.  Today was Sunday here and this is very unusual for me to write at this time, as I balance it all out within the evenings.

I have said this before and I will say it again, it's a great group of people on here certainly there are some misunderstanding.  The day is a great one and I very rarely do anything more than write.

After day out without my camera but in meeting up with some friend.  I enjoy writing as all of you do.  Yet at the same time there are other things that are of importance within ones life.  Sundays are those days that you just enjoy it.

I know one can't please everyone in life nor within a blogging experience but each one of us has that enjoyment that we have and the way I see it it's all an exchange of shares.  For myself I think that finally what I ate yesterday is over with, and I am on here merely for blogging friend, do I have a few that are block - yes we all do.

But there is much more enjoyable within the exchanges than otherwise.  I am not a thriving photographer, nor a superb writer.  I am just myself.  Nothing more nothing less.

Everyone has different areas and subjects from a variety of countries within there blog and within the exchanges. I have mentioned I write as well as I do post some pictures.  One can never please everyone - nor should they.  But within it all we do find the commonalities. Some will try to blemish it but it there is always those types of people. As to how one does carry on in life is with regards to CHOICE.

What I am as everyone else - is just the fonts of a person called "me", not arrogance but in a smiling interest....there is something to be said for this. As well all do have that choice. And if we look beyond the fonts and writes maybe we value the arrays of thoughts.

A Sunday Afternoon thought ....

Natural Things Yeah...

These are all from Saturday as today was one of those days were you get things done.

Yet the weather has been great and I thought I would post these.

A great Sunday/Monday to all.

Food

I went hiking for part of today. And then when I arrived back into town I went to Subway. The day was very nice and then around 5pm. I have been drinking water as I think this sub did not go over that well.

So I am drinking like a fish. And hopefully this will pass. However at the time I did enjoy the sub but seemingly it has gone over the wrong way....

Tomorrow

I shall wake up and read the newspaper and enjoy the sun with a grand coffee. For the weather is nice. After that - we shall see as Saturdays are those days that you just enjoy...

Peace,

Jack

Sometimes You Just Ponder...

Maybe I am just getting old or maybe I am losing some compassion.

But I have not a hard time, but find it absolutely unbelievable when I read a story yesterday from Scotland.

You may or may not remember that on December 21st, 1988. 280 people boarded a plane that eventually blew up over Lockerbie Scotland. Innocent individuals who were going about their lives when it all came to an abrupt end at the hands of a former Libyan intelligence officer. He was in jail for eight years, but was recently released so he could return home where he will die from terminal cancer. I cannot believe it and I can’t imagine what I would be feeling if I were a family member of one of the victims of the bombing.

A man who gave no thought to killing 280 innocent people does not deserve compassion. It may be age, or it just may be the reality of seeing so much crime today, but my level of compassion is ending for these individuals who break the law, impact people lives, and then come looking for my sympathy.

It’s a sad statement and it may not be the right thing to say, but I am at the point of enough is enough.

We All Are Born with Uniqueness

We become accustomed to what has been part of our routine and stability ignoring the fact that in time we have become stagnant, unhappy and unsatisfied.  In three words, We Stop Growing.  To pretend to live our life in the same manner all the time is not logical.  Our daily experiences and challenges transform us into a more developed and whole individual.

Dark nights plunges us into the depths of our being pressing us into exploring what needs to be changed or revealed.  For years we have gone along with the social circles and what is expected of us.  We learn quickly how to integrate ourselves with the rest of society, which is good, but in the process we forget how not to lose our individuality.  Within our own individuality we groom our own way.

Individuality based on our self-knowledge along with well rooted human and spiritual principles are the key to our well being and happiness.

"Speaking of human nature also reminds us that there is a unity and solidarity belonging to the whole human race.  For this reason, man is to be considered "in the full truth of his existence, of his personal being and also of his community and social being" excerpt from MAN'S DIGNITY STEMS FROM HIS SPIRITUAL NATURE.

Some people manage to make manifest their individuality sooner than others, like Albert Einstein who at 15 years old realized that he had to make his own way in the world.  I believe that's the reason why he was able accomplish so much and benefit society with his own individual development; because he began to live early on, the life destined to him. It is a shame that most of us spend half our life before we find ourselves before the path we need to decide to walk on.  When life becomes unbearable because we have denied our self-realization we often find ourselves at a crossroads, in that moment our whole being screams to be born again.

It's the divine calling us to become who we were meant to be before is too late.  It is the awakening from the numbness created by a life full of everyone's goals and dreams but our own.  It’s within our minds to analyze, absorb, and integrate our individual human capabilities given to us by God into whatever field our work will contribute and ultimately benefit humanity.  I know for my own self that as many there are a combination of things that contribute to whom I am.  A tad extroverted and introverted - but the way that I see it is that we all are unique within our own ways.  It would be a very dull world if we all were the same.

I hope he gets this as when I first moved here he sent me one of his own books and he is a very unique person - Douglas I wish you a Very Happy Birthday, your not growing older your growing ahead!

Doug celebrates his birthday in a few more days.

Picture Perfect ~ LIQUID ~

Within a Days View of the middle of August (25)

Dear Friends,

In belonging to this blog called picture perfect I thought I would go another path within this theme called liquid. Music makes the world go around. There is a musical artist by the name of Tom Cochran and during rehearals this image is Liquid in the manner that throught all the riffs while one plays a guitar it's something - music that is that makes the world go around. The manner in which one does play a guitar or any instument is something that is within a flow.

It's the liquidity of motion that does produce something in which we all do listen.  In a "liquid" sense of the word this is my picture.

I am not one to push onto others any group or blog but I have had a few that have asked me about this Picture Perfect and it's right here:

Music Does...

This is a segment that here we have rehearsals going on by way of three bands. You may know whom Tom Cochran is and along with one friend that is here that is a good thriving artist.

This is a one day event that will be taking place for cancer you will see the ladies down below and they all are refined nurses, one is the chair person for
this event and it's a closed event to raise fund for the areas two particular medical areas - cancer, and kidney cancer - I kid you not.

Music certainly does make the world go around and these are the rehearsals of the back up bands for Tom, Chilliwack, and if you ever have heard them April Wine.

After I was finished with taking the pictures of the rehearsals I found that there was much more to this by way of Tom (if you remember Lunatic Fringe or Life is a Highway), and one particular nurse.

These are times in which I have come to render that it's more about initiatives ironically that is my nickname. And yet enjoying what life has to offer.

I don't know if you know of these bands but as I did meet in with James Blunt, I have met with Tom and here is his home page...

Good Night all - "Par Ardua Ad Astra"

A Re post - Like Everyone Else

Separation and division is the central key as to why there are so many problems in the world. The Ego is looking out for some reason why they alone are somehow above the crowd so that their own personal experiences are better than the average common people.

Individuals want to feel special, as if their own life experience is something in which no one else can understand or relate. In fact, most people are almost in shock when they bond with someone else who seems to understand them as no one else can.

Some take pride if the fact that they view themselves as misunderstood as it is somehow glamorous to be so tragic while others go into another extreme and brag of being so popular as if there is no other place to be.

Like minded individuals can get together for a common purpose and when ego takes over the group feels as if it is misunderstood by everyone else and they are somehow above the people outside of the group. Groups can form to be cliques, clubs, churches, gangs, armies, and countries. No matter what you label it, the group will somehow feed into the common ego that their life experience, happiness, heartaches, pains, ad joys are somehow wrong or evil or someone to be avoided.

Such thinking is the core as to why people fail to connect to other. One group believes is supreme and the others have no rights as they do, in fact, they believe everyone outside of the group as some how interior and not deserving of the same merits of humanity.

This can quickly turn to prejudice, hatred, intolerance and lead to acts of war, violence, aggression and cruelty. This kind of thinking keeps hungry people starving, abused people in fear, and poor people in poverty. It enslaves your mind, even if you are in the group, which deprives other of equality.

Just look, we do have our own unique quirks and ways to do things among our peers, but chances are somewhere in the world you will find a few dozen people with all those exact qualities. It is inside, where really counts, that we are all equal.

The color of our skin, weight, height, shape and other outside features do not make you who you really are, it is your reaction to how people treat you because of your features that make you who you are. Twins with identical features could be subjected to the same rude comments from people who want to find a way to discount their importance by calling them on a physical feature. One twin could get offended by such remarks and adopt an attitude of hatred for those who don’t look like her. The other twin could forgive those and live her life in peace, waiting for those who will accept.

Religion or spiritual beliefs do not make you who you are, it is how you practice what you preached. Some like to brow beat a certain faith as hypocritical because they know members of that church who are sinners according to the beliefs they profess. In fact, there are hypocrites in every faith who hide behind them for various reasons. They have nothing to do with those who truly believe in that faith. To discount all faith on behalf of the handfuls of liars in a slap in the face of those who are doing what they believe.

There is no one correct way to review life. Just as 10 witnesses to a car accident can come up with 10 different accounts of the scene that would be correct in their own point of view, the over 6 billion people in the world make their own correct judgement of life depending on what they are personally seeing.

Someone who grows up in a life of exclusive luxury and not exposed to poverty will see life in a whole different light than one who lives in a third world country who is in abject poverty. One is not a better way to view life than the other, they are just different points of view in the literal sense. One sees life most likely as a great abundance and the other might see life as harsh and both would be correct.

We are all creatures who want the same exact things in life. That is the humanity within us that makes us equal. When the ego takes over, we neglect the fact that others have that same essence of life and quests we do.

We all want love. When we become balanced within ourselves and learn to love ourselves, we want love, not false dependency. We want respect. We want to achieve our goals. We want to be remembered. We want to feel special. We want our basic needs to be met with the least amount of resistance. We want peace. We want a quality in our lives. We want health and mental well being.

No one really wants to live in fear and conflict. No one wants to feel physical or emotional pain. No one wants to be hated, neglected, abused, starved, enslaved or disrespected. There are some twisted minds too caught up in the ego that have warped the essence of humanity that they would debase themselves and others. That is not the true nature of man. That is sick mind in control of a runaway vehicle.

Ironically, it is also human nature that brings out the best of humanity in a time of crisis. Our own need for self preservation can come out when we see our safety and security threatened, we tend to band together to help each other. Many people like to describe an end time scene where man will turn against man and kill each other, in a quest to survive. History will point out otherwise. During times of famine, earthquakes, acts of war, terrorism or any other disaster, people generally will help others in need when and how they can. Of course there will always be the losers and people who are deprived of their true essence of humanity, but for the most part you will find hones, decent people who will help another person in need if they can do something.

If we ever want to live in a world of peace, we are simply going to have to get over our own ego. We must be true to our own nature and ourselves. We must also learn to respect and allow others to be instead of controlling how we think they must be. We are all looking at the same world from different angles with the same inner needs, hopes and desires. We all will make mistakes as we learn how to play the rules in this game called life. Just because we do not see eye to eye does not mean we won’t come to our own right way to live, to think and to Be…It's an ideal, but I believe in this writing that I had done. Peace can only be achieved on several levels and that does make way for the meaning and achieving within life.

Some will abide with borders, but it all starts within each person to make this world go around. Never does it take only one. Peace is an ideal.  Regardless peace is something that is something that commences with the person.  Peace is ....what it is the recognition of humanity...

~jgs~

Abundance is sharing the fun times, ordinary times, and challenging times. It means knowing all the time that life is a creation that is shared within respect...

The story of Winnie the Pooh

The story of Winnie the Pooh started when a young vet living in Winnipeg, Canada, was stretching his legs on a train platform in Ontario. This man, Harry Colebourn, was serving in the Canadian Army at the time. He saw a man cradling a tiny orphaned black bear cub, and bought it for $20. The bear, who Harry called Winnie after his hometown in Winnipeg, became the Canadian Army's mascot. After coming to England, Harry Colebourn and the other Canadian soldiers had to go to France, so Winnie was put in the care of London Zoo. When Lieutenant Colebourn came back from France, he found that Winnie was having such a wonderful time at the Zoo that he decided to let him stay there forever. Winnie lived until 1934.

Christopher Robin was one of Winnie's greatest fans, and was allowed to go inside the cage with him. Here is a passage from the introduction to "Winnie the Pooh".
So when Christopher Robin goes to the Zoo, he goes to where the Polar Bears are, and he whispers something to the third keeper from the left, and doors are unlocked, and we wander through dark passages and up steep stairs, until at last we come to the special cage, and the cage is opened, and out trots something brown and furry, and with a happy cry of "Oh, Bear!" Christopher Robin rushes into its arms.

Christopher Robin with Winnie at the London Zoo

Since Christopher Robin loved Winnie so much, he renamed the bear that he had received for his 1st birthday, Edward Bear, and called him Winnie the Bear. A poem from "When We Were Very Young" tells that Christopher Robin met a swan, and called him Pooh, but the swan has gone now, so Christopher Robin changed Winnie the Bear to Winnie the Pooh in honor of the swan.

Christopher Robin's father, Alan Alexander Milne, loved to watch Christopher Robin and Pooh play together in Ashdown Forest, so he wrote stories about them, along with Christopher Robin's other toys, Piglet, Tigger, Eeyore, Kanga and Roo. He also made up the characters Rabbit and Owl, based on real animal living in the Forest. In the stories, Asdown Forest was called the Hundred Acre Woods. "Winnie the Pooh" was published in 1926, followed by "The House At Pooh Corner" in 1928.

In 1961 in America, Walt Disney was reading the Pooh stories to his children. He liked the idea of Winnie the Pooh and his friends, so he decided to use Pooh in a movie. After all of the neccesary paperwork, Walt set out to create his dream. In 1966, "Winnie The Pooh And The Honey Tree" was a big success, and in 1968, "Winnie The Pooh And The Blustery Day" won an Academy award. In 1974 another Pooh movie was made, called "Winnie The Pooh And Tigger Too".

Life Time Friendships Part 2

I did have my reservations with this due to the fact that I have never placed a person’s picture on here. Of recent that is.  But he knew I would be doing this at the tail end of our one to one breakfast which lasted for a good two hours.  I would suppose everyone does.

It was nice to say the least - great time as we had.  I have nothing against his wife, it was just very nice for that one to one time.  I think you would know what I mean.  Ironically there are some things that are happening with his sister – boy it seems that everyone has something at some time.  But now and then you have to say why not.  Pat was late in our get morning meeting due to things that were going on.

However we talked and talked. The last thing on my mind was to take pictures it was not really even a consideration but there is more than just the image.

But that all said he is a tremendous pharmacist that goes back and forth to lecture along with maintain his own way of life.  Yes he is a best friend and we talked about many things and ironically how I was amazed with how much he had changed – yet I have changed as well, I am not the same person by way of image.  So many times we look at things by only the manner of the pictures.  He is always was a slighter guy - but always full of wit and a manner about him that is within his own way.  His manner of speaking and his ethics within his family are supreme if you ask me.

We had settled out some things that had needed to be done for some time, not between him and me just another fellow that we used to chum with.  Aside from all that we were able to talk about everything and thereafter he had to hit the highway after picking up his own family but the first thing I said to him was “you aged”, he is a sporty fellow and he said “so did you”.  Yet image is not everything it’s the manner that you carry yourself within life, in my opinion.  And yes we all do age but I guess we all do within different ways.

Pat was never that one to reach for the stars – but he dedicated himself to just a few things and nothing more.  Within all my friends that I have known I think he really is the wisest in many ways.  We have made some plans and I do look forward to it.  Pat is a very practical person.  Actually aside of his coaching with a youth team within hockey and medicine - I find the contrast that differs yet is appreciated from both of us is that we respect those differences.  I will say hit, man he certain became gray - not that there is anything wrong with it.  But it just seemed like yesterday and he still had much more hair.  It seems like just yesterday I had seen him yet we have always kept in touch.  We have always been like brothers yet the great thing about it is that we do have our own areas that we enjoy.

Who would have thought that two guys that never knew each other and were placed in the same residence dwelling would have kept as friend for all these years and still be able to laugh at some of the old jokes as well as talk on things that were of importance to both of us.

Carole King - You've Got A Friend

Good night all and peace...

Life Time Friendships

Well I am not going to write with regards to the weather as ...not much has changed, but when I first arrived on this multiply I had went to visit my old dorm/residence friend.  Now he is up here and I can tell you it's so great to run back into the some of the old friends that you have always entrusted.  Pat went through one marriage and then went on to have a second marriage.  As well, his parents passed away when he was only six years old.

Pat has never bloged and as he says "his blog is his telephone" a rather different way on things but regardless of that it's great to see him again and in the wee hours of the morning we are going to go out as he will be leaving tomorrow as he has to get back to his practice and as the saying goes if you have five friends from which you can count on.  I think in many ways Pat is more like a brother.  Within the first year of University I purposely choose a residence that was going to have entirely new people.

I will never forget after strolling the grounds with some of my other friends and then arriving at to my "the room", there was Pat asleep we all sat around and waited for him to wake up.  He certainly did.

Through all the times and all my travels, he is one that I have stayed in contact over some 20 years.

However you know when you can just talk about anything and it's entrusted as a friend.  Maybe tomorrow I will get a shot with the both of us.  As it will be the last day, but if not good friends are good friends and hold them close as the worth is beyond words.

Good friends always remain.

I have not been online but .....

That is fine with me. I will be seeing my good old friend off tomorrow morning < this actually should be a note I think. Well it's time to do my s t r e t c h i n g here. Here we are within the middle of the week. What is your favorite quote if I may ask?

~ A great week to all ~

Sunday It Is

Sundays are said to be that time of rest and relaxation.

I am prepared now with everything for a friend that is coming and I am not sure whom came up with this story or saying about Sundays or perhaps it's just been the weather but I find that there is not much to say.

I went out and I was "there and back". But that is a future story onto itself...

Sometimes it's enjoyable to just read other peoples blogs. Needless to say within all that I have read the theme that come to mind within all of this is the term cadence. I have read a few blogs I have to find how to place back my "online status" but actually I enjoy it just as it is.

So that all being said I am going to continue to do a little more reading but I wish all my friend a great week - regardless of where your from. As the weekend just passed by so wet yet so quickly...

Oh yeah and one thing I forgot to mention I do love one thing it's called Diet Pepsi. :)

The Old Time Barber....

I forgot that he still even had a place here as there are not too many like his but needless to say I took a picture a few days ago and doesnt this fit and look like something you would see out of an old picture within the paintings of Norman Rockwell.

Ironically I forget his name, I wanted to get his pictures as it was so old styled, and the amout of old gents that got to him not just to get there hair cut but to talk it all up. Yes it's all old, and very different yet something that seemingly still within out times does have merit.

I guess this is what we call "old school", yet he was not dumb from all the people that have come in and left his barber shop he seemed smart in an older way.

Well It's a Cool Wet Day Again...

I never had the time to catch up with things from yesterday but good morning and good evening to all.  There is something to mornings.  I am not sure what it is but they have that quality about them where one just awakes, splashes their face and looks outside and then takes an inventory of all that they have to get done.

That all being said, today I shall find out when this friend of mine and his wife will be arriving.  And I am just taking inventory of all that I need to do and get.  One thing that is one the top of my list is Diet Pepsi.  I love it and it's something that I just love.

I did not get back on to follow up with my story of the air show here but it's been entirely cancelled - very different weather for this time of year but it's something you don't have any control of.  So it's going to be a lazy Sunday.

Gosh I am looking for my darn glasses and seemingly they have vanished…Looking forward to reading some writes and catching up with a coffee cup.

Why not....

Wet and Cold Saturday

Although this is not near an Air Force Base - each and every year there has always been an Air Show.

Due to the weather it's been cancelled but I headed out and was able to get a few photographs. But it's been very different weather in comparison to just last weekend.

A Wet Saturday in August Video.avi

The Air Show was closed but I was able on a the coldest day within this summer to get in and this is an example of what the weather was like.
Security did grant me the rights finally and it's a short video but it's was
colder than expected to say the least.

George Carlin "Farting in Public"

All in Good Taste Everyone Can Relate to this I am sure! :)

"The wisest mind has something yet to learn."

Cool, Coudy and Wet

It's been rather cool and cloudy over the last two days, last night it even went down to 8 degrees Celsius which is 32 degree Fahrenheit - now that is cool! Too cool if you ask me. It's morning here and the newspaper has not come in yet but aside of that the weekend looks to be just fine.

Les Paul passed away yesterday there goes an icon but he certainly lived a very good life till the age of 92. And within the news there seems to be much turmoil right now with regulating the medical system within the US. It's funny how Canadians are used to what we have here and seeing on CNN - these town hall meetings where there is so much anger. I guess it's more than just that it's where Obama may being doing too much to quick. Maybe the pharmaceutical companies should be looked at more as they may be the answer within reform.

Outside of all this it's Friday and here at 5am, I am looking forward to a friend that is coming to visit from out of town this next Wednesday.

It shall be a hoot in catching up as it's been some time since we have seen one another. And then next week.

I have not recieved this call with regards to my legs so hopefully this will come about next week. So as most of you know it's something I have been waiting for and I have never indicated nor am I that Canada's system of medical is better. I think a system where one has a two tier one is the best as most countries have that now and within Canada here within this province unfortunately we have only a one tier as right next door within the next province is a two tier system where you have the choice to have private or public health care.

Bidding you a great Friday. Look at how fast time is passing by! It's already the middle of August.

Peace all...

Coffee Talk ....

I normally shy away from using e-mails that make the rounds but this one is good as it points out how much things have changed in 50 years.

Take these high school scenarios for example: Scenario 1: Billy goes quail hunting early in the morning and then pulls into the school parking lot with his shotgun in his truck’s gun rack. 1959….vice-principal comes over, looks at Bill’s shotgun, goes over to his car to get his shotgun to show Bill. 2009….School goes into lock down, police called, Bill hauled off to jail and never sees his truck or gun again. Counselors called in for traumatized students and teachers. Scenario 2: Johnny and Mark get into a fistfight after school. 1959…crowd gathers, Mark wins, Johnny and Mark shake hands and walk away buddies. 2009…..Police called and SWAT Team arrives. They arrest both Johnny and Mark who are both charged with assault and both expelled even though Johnny started it. Scenario 3: Billy breaks a window in the neighbour’s car and his dad gives him a spanking. 1959….Billy is more careful next time, grows up normal, goes to college and becomes a successful businessman. 2009….Billy’s dad is arrested for child abuse. Billy is removed to foster care and joins a gang. Scenario 4: Johnny falls while running during recess and scrapes his knee. He is found crying by his teacher, Mary. Mary hugs him to comfort him. 1959…in a short time Johnny feels better and goes on playing. 2009…..Mary is accused of being a sexual predator and loses her job.

How times have changed.

Picture Perfect ~ Shiny ~

Within a Weekend Morning (23)

From up above I could look across and downwards

What I did not expect was the experience to look across and

view the city while the sun did shine...

Within this theme of shiny, it's something that certainly has been applicable here as the climate has been sunny. Recently I had taken a picture that was of a landmark here within the city that I reside and I was sunny which would apply as it was the first day that the sun really did shine as well as the weather.

This picture was just taken last week.

A day within a day

From meeting up with some friends from Madrid to then heading to an Antique Store it was a nice day. A storm is on it's way however it has not ceased to be hot and humid - which is nice.

I carry this camera around with me and if there is something that is worthy I enjoy placing it on. Why not. :)

Awareness within Life

I'm not sure what you would call it but that is what I thought I would title this.

I think that we all are aware within life of what can be and what can’t be.  I really find that there is more that one can be that the other.  We so often will think of the obstacles where there really are no obstacles when it really comes down to it.

Perhaps it’s just an ideal but when I look at everything I know what my strengths are and what are not.  Everyone has that yet at the same time, so often we think we can do something do to age or otherwise.  When we really look at things we certainly can do anything – given that it’s realistic.

For myself it’s just being in touch in a way.  Karma that so often comes from the soul.  All is well here and I have my date set with regards to meeting this specialist so that is all good and it’s been hot and humid, but I love it. Two people died today, one is a friend of mine, – I had not seen here in some time here husband passed on and my Aunt passed on.

For myself nothing surprises me within all of this and I by no means am a selfish type of person.  My Aunt.hmm.  She lived a good long life She actually raised my father – he was the youngest within his family.  I have fond recollections of as a child as every two years within the summer we would go back to where my folk’s roots were from.  I was always dropped off on the farm to Dan and Margie’s.  This morning I received the news.  I talked with my father today and he was expecting it.  It’s ironic as he was the first to what all presumed would be the first death within the family and yet he survived.  She was much older than him but that is a part of life we come in and we go out.

She is being cremated and as I was not raised along with my relatives, I was always dropped of at their farm for two weeks.

She was one that seemingly had a very good grasp on things within the family.  He husband passed away years ago.  When my father had retired we settled there and I attended my last two years of high school.  She was a keen lady and always thought much of me.  I never mentioned much to my brother or sister but she always thought that out of all that bared my surname I would be the one to do some real good things in life.  Marge was like a second mother in many ways.  I think that came within the genes of that side of my family.  But at the age of 81 she lived a very good life.  The town had bought all the land that they had for half a million dollars – and the only thing I would have wished for was that she would have kept this house which really was the homestead of my father’s side of the family.  I had spoken to her a few times while I was living in Edmonton last year but with all that was happening here – I never had the chance.  Yorkton is some 4 hours away from here and he daughter Carrie told me that they wish to have a private ceremony.  I will send flowers to both of her daughters and as well write a letter - and hopefully that suffices.  As I mentioned she was the one Aunt that I did have a strong bond with.

She has only two daughters and when I heard the news today it did not surprise me, as I had been made aware that over the last six months she had suddenly started to decline.  I thought of many things with regards to her over today.  But she lived a good life and we all come in and we all go out of this life.

Ironically, with the exception of a few relatives I have not kept in touch with them.  I have never been back to this small town in some fifteen year if not more.  Yet the way I see it she will be remember for all the things I recall during my childhood.  All I know as that people that live past 80 and have had a predominantly good life and health are very fortunate.  I think I ranted on within this write but that is my news for the day.

As for Jenny, I don’t know how to approach her as it’s been years since I have seen here yet how we used to hand out so much but I think I am just going to leave it be for a while and then go over and see here, she comes from a very large Greek family here. Which as I recall were always very tight, and to be within or accepted by the family was rather different. Then again different strokes for different folks.

You know life has a way of moving so fast, I guess that too comes with realization of one's own source and the life that surrounds us.

The highest reward for a person's toil is not what they get for it but what they become by it.

I’ve Got Mail by Heidi

I wish my memory worked differently. I’d like to be able to conjure up an accurate image of my consciousness from, say, 25 years ago. You know what 25 years means: No cellphones, no e-mail, no Internet, no social networking (except with an actual drink in hand), and only the most primitive of personal computers. What I want to answer is a single question: Was I as addicted to the future then as I seem to be now?

I ask this because I really enjoy a new update to my operating system, like the one I downloaded from Apple earlier this week. I find it surprisingly pleasing when one of my iPhone apps requests an update too. Every day I await, with anticipation, a long list of e-mail messages that could arrive at any second, and there are several people I’m really eager to get a text from. Those, too, could come at any time. Soon — even now — I could find my feed-list in Google Reader delightfully stuffed with newness. I am not a Twitterer. But I know the dismay the Twitter world must have felt during its service disruption last week.

When I think back 25 years, there just wasn’t that much to be waiting for. The phone might ring — and if you left home, you had to leave without it. The mail would come, and so might UPS or Federal Express. Someone might stop by on the spur of the moment. A fax perhaps? And that was about it.

I’ve always looked forward to the mail coming. I don’t know why. And now I live in a world where the mail comes constantly, ceaselessly, a world where I find myself dismayed by the slowdown in blog feeds over the weekend. I consider myself a moderate user of personal electronics. I almost never wear earbuds. And yet this constant foretaste of the future, this hunger for the next electronic blip, feels to me like a full-blown addiction.

Which is why I’d like a clearer picture of my old self. Was I a little more serene 25 years ago? Was there a little more silence inside my head? A little less expectation? Or was I leaning headlong into the future even then?

I thought this was a very interesting post from a friend of mine and it stood out so well that I does make way for something that I think that we all can relate with.

It's an array if you Will Video 1.avi

On This Day...

Expecting things and worry.  I do have a procedure that is with my knees but it has not stopped me.

I don't know anyone that likes to be within a hospital but I am on that waiting list that if all works out well < sigh >, I will be going in for a day to not have knee joint replacements but I will have a substance injected after a review with my knees.

The past month I have had so many specialists indicate this or that and finally my original internal specialist and (I forget the other one's name),  > I will be having my legs done.

Sounds funny but to be entirely honest, I was worried last night as know one does not wish to be within a hospital. I know I dont but you roll with it. As the saying goes "no pain no gain."  So at some point I will be of here and then they are going to send me to the funny farm for network addiction :).

It's funny in a way as I get on here within the eve, as it's something creative and I love that.  Today I could tell you all that I have done but I would rather just read and write and share.

The one things that I do know with pain is that if you keep occupied you don't have it and some will stop doing everything and then come atrophy - and that is not my way. It's been proven that within the mindset that if one mentally embraces the pain with on a level of 1 to 10 mine would be around a 7 - you just work with it. I find that the evenings are the hardest as after a day of doing a variety of things pain does come on but for the most part keeping that mind set is something that you just do. It's not a test of endurance its just putting into place where things are and understanding how to work around it. As well, keeping a positive attitudes as well.

However I can say that the weather person was right, as it's been the hottest year thus far.  And I truly love it.

Sunday Evening...

I am not sure about you but today was just an easy going Sunday.  I find that I have been up so early everyday as well on the weekends as I wish to take the weather all in.  Lets see a typical Sunday is doing the wash, cleaning the car, and then after that doing something that you enjoy.

I am sure it’s easy to see that I love taking pictures and I went to a few stores and was looking for one but the way that I do it with a purchase is that I will look at things and then come back too see them.  It’s a process of doing that three-time visit and if one really thinks that they need it then I find that I will buy it.

Within a simple manner I am just setting or I have set a few goals that I wish to reach by the end of the month.  Yet I don’t thrive on it.  Its just there if you know what I mean.

So here it is on a Sunday and I look forward to what come to be within a little bit of time.

Here is where I come back to the balance of life and yet enjoying things.  And I certainly have been.

The one thing that I find is that a routine regardless of what it is – is good regardless of what it may be.

What is most important is what it can be…

Love the song a good night and good day pending where you reside,

The Sun is Within the Skies...

This morning as like most I was up and then I was out.  The city was rather quiet around 9am.  I headed to a building that a developer I used to know whom had built this building that I thought I might get the chance to meet the manager of the complex and have the opportunity to get the best pictures of the riverside.  I was able to get in.  On the weekend I didn’t think that there would be staff on.

The first picture I wanted to take was that of the "Bess".  Breathtaking if you will for me.  I wrote about it back five months ago during the winter and within the summer it really does make the city what it is.

My father used to have his own private office at the very top and I remember leaving my office when I was young and heading over to see him.  We just talked about anything and everything.  So often there was another person there and we would just enter into very interesting discussions.  Those were precious times indeed.  It’s a hotel and the top portion is dedicated to offices.

So today I was able to get the manager and there was no problem in having the caretaker take me right to the top.  I was amazed when I was up there as I didn’t think it was that high and we spent a good hour if not more just talking about the weather and the scenery that comes from this the rooftop of this building.  Was I fortunate or what.  Although I don't have a great camera the picture came out great and it was marvelous to see everything from that vantage.

It's amazing how you can hit it off with people and just have the ability to get into some of these places.  For this was a day that is a benchmark within the season within the sun being within the sky as the weather has changed and it’s going to be a superb month of weather.

It was truly a great way to start of the day.

My Own Tribute to Picture Perfect

Today finally summer did come I wake up early and so often I get caught up within the writes and reading and so forth.  I had asked Heather one of what I assume is one of a few administrators of this group.  I am not onto myself only I do enjoy writing as well as taking pictures.  Now and then there is something that comes along that really goes far beyond the norm and this group I feel is one of them.

It’s not really a group as they created it in such a way that it’s a blog with a group of people from within.  I recall there was a friend of mine that was on here and I would see these tremendous pictures that really were something to see.  I know that people do like to keep within their own networks but for one that is very private I can say this.  I have never partook within something of the likes of this online with photographs, and ever week there are rules that everyone abide by and what is so tremendous is more than ones own pictures it’s the array of pictures from all parts of the world.

I can really say that I wish I knew of this consortium of sorts before as it’s really all within the pictures and I am not sure if you have ever seen National Geographic magazine but this is comparable as it’s so interesting to see what I call the vantages of what a very mature group of people do from there own countries.  For myself it’s not the words that make it with this Picture Perfect it’s the pictures.  For myself I have only traveled a little and have not been around the world but this group certainly does take the cake as it’s really managed and set up is a great way.  I thought I would post one picture from Heather with here allowance, but when you look within you see all corners of the world.

I am not selling this to anyone within my blog but it’s really a classic of a place that so many partake in each week.  It truly is a place that has substance and then some.  And although I only participate as I have the time I find that the people and the variety of pictures from such a variety of people and places makes for a very special enjoyable rendezvous for those that do wish to share something.

I have no invested interest within Picture Perfect other than I am merely one of many that partake within it.  Those that are members do know what I am talking about and I hope that one of the administrators do expand on this when they get the time as I literally am inspired by it each and every time I partake within it as a member. You know how groups work but this is much different as it's much easier and this last week was a term to work with which was called "contrast". As at other times there are I am sure that there is a meeting from which the thought process that goes with devising a term for each week for member that wish to partake. I would like to give an example from Heather with the most recent term in which I have never seen so many people from all over the world partake in and get creative with.

This is just an example and it's from Heather

Now with that example you would not believe the variety of people from so many countries partaking in something that is so different and as well done in a great manner. I think that when something is set up it either works or it slowly fails. If my memory serves me right this Picture Perfect has been going on for years. That does say something to say the least.

Once again, I am only a member and I asked to write this last night and was given the go. I hope that the owners/administrators of Picture Perfect deem it with good taste. As all the colors of the world come out within this place.

If you wish to take a glimpse of it the link is below...
