
An array however within these the picture is not perfect and it's the first invented radiation machine that was invented for the treatment of Cancer. I was surprised to see that the Cancer Department and Research area had moved this old machine as I think the it should have been placed in some special way within the Royal University Hospital however it sits right now in a hold place and I was able to have the cancer department give me clearance with getting a photo of it.
There are other pictures but this one especially - the colbolt radiation "bomb" as it was called when it was invented here and the first within the world during the 1950's to treat cancer.
As well there are other pictures here as while I was going from one side of the city to another while I awaited at the Western Development Museum I thought I would take a few pictures and then some....
Don't you find that a camera in hand makes you more aware of the things in your surroundings?
ReplyDeleteIn a conclusive manner yes very much so. At the end of the week you look at things and see the vantages of what is.
ReplyDeleteIt's ironic this technology as one side of me is old school and then I love the some of the gizmos that one can utilize.
Since I got a small digital camera I usually have it with me . I like museums I think when I get up to Marquette this summer I would like to go to the Maritime Museum again. My Dad always likes to take us to the Mining Museums as well.

ReplyDeleteMy Mom worked at a place where they treated Tuberculosis patients..what they had there was something called an iron lung. A lot of people who worked in them places ended up with TB themselves but thankfully my Mom was fine. Interesting piece of equipment there,,I wish there was a cure for cancer the more we learn the better

A long , long time ago she was a teenager at the time and there was an epidemic in Marquette,,,some interesting stories she tells! Incredible.
