Enchanted within my mind
A whispered dream of mine
A nightly flight of fancy
A string of mist
Ideals collected
What should be
Colorful visions
One can't see
A trickle of sand couple
With the white
Perhaps it’s something
Within a dream
Stretched out
Are the waters
Calm
As they so often are
As it’s evening
A reflective time
A source of tranquility
Something calls me
As I watch and take it all in
The gentleness of the water
The night sounds
Silent whispers
Sitting I am and just listen
The waters move
In the most gentle manner
Through the soft clouds
The moon casts its glow
Dreamy colors softly show
The waves gently move
Yet there is a whisper
In natures way
And the moon’s night
The evening comes and leaves
Seemingly telling me
Within this place
There is an amazing grace
~jgs
So to this place
ReplyDeleteI shall return
to feel its mood sweep o're me
Enchant me so
I'll always know
amazing grace renews me
Thank you, Jack. You've put me in such a peaceful frame of mind.
Nature's grace is the most calming of all
ReplyDeleteToo cool!
ReplyDeletePeace to you and good night Charles and Family.
For it sheds the lights
ReplyDeleteOf most delights...
:)
Within beauty and all
ReplyDeleteThe snowflakes still will fall
But soon within time
There will be no sliding on ice
For that friend of mine
Good night endearing friend..
Need I say more?
Nah, no need to say more. You just said it all very sweetly. Have a wonderful night, Jack.
ReplyDeleteIndeed!
ReplyDeleteWell said, Jack!
Well said she said
ReplyDeleteYet we all said it
We had our splendor
Within our day
We mentioned this
As well as that
Yet what was grace
Was what they said
Indeed we said...
You're in a mood, aren't you, Jack? *smile*
ReplyDeleteNo, I just came to this and a friend sent me a picture from a different state and when I saw Charlie and his response, then I thought I would flow with it.
ReplyDeleteBut yes it's time for bed!
I bid you a good night.
Good night, Jack! Sweet dreams!
ReplyDeleteGood night and a great week...
ReplyDeleteI think I'll read your poem aloud, now...

ReplyDeleteI hope this works...I should have read a couple of lines differently, and maybe I will...eventually!
ReplyDeletei like it....a lot.
ReplyDeletekitts ..u've read it beautifully too.
ReplyDeleteI did the same, enchanted into crafting a verse of my own. How lovely to have someone willing to share their prose!
ReplyDeleteHow I love the water.
Water and age, or passing years, seem endlessly entwined.
ReplyDeleteLiving near or seeing water each day reminds us how turbulent it can be.
'In life we are in Death', I believe the pulpit quote to be.
Perhaps this is what we have in mind when attracted to its tranquility?
Since your poem brings such thoughts to me I must say thank you.
Great poem and wonderfully read kitti

ReplyDeleteThis is a flow Bill, very nice, and thank you.
ReplyDeleteYeah with a morning coffee in hand and reading this thank you.
GOOD MORNING AND THANK YOU!
ReplyDeleteHere is the neat thing...Lyn sent me the picture by email. I was not sure what to write, then I was right in that mood of being spontaneous when I saw the picture and now in the morning I am listening to her and - what do you call that. As well, I read Bill's and that is all something that just happens with out any request. With the exception of the picture which comes from Georgia. Ironic isn't it?
ReplyDeleteYour most welcome.
ReplyDeleteShe has...
ReplyDeleteJerene, it's without void nor noise...
ReplyDeleteI am really taken by this!
ReplyDeleteWhat can I do for you?
I had no idea you were going to attach a poem to my favorite place. It is in Fort DeSoto Park in Florida. Thank you for sharing it with the group........Lyn
ReplyDeleteI was just about to log off Lyn, I thank you for your picture, I forgot that it's in Florida. Last night I had a block with writing and now you can see what came about with your picture.

A great day to you. And thank you for the picture....
