He is one of those people that has been writing for the last 40 years and there was a special that I was watching on television the othernight and I found that the various people that were making comments on whom he was and how he really is more than just an icon as he can do something that not only we all can relate to but there is some devine intervention.
This tour was called the "US" tour which meant "all of us". And I found it to be something that I not only enjoyed but was watching something that surpassed music. As all ages could relate and the lyrics that the Beatles as well as Paul - were something that I do find that many were inspired by.
And when you have a tour that goes to so many countries and in every land the people are singing the words. There is something it touches upon.
Money is not what makes love it's the person.
He - and the Beatles - sure made a difference. As you say, their lyrics is mostly very good, and it has something to say to us all.
ReplyDeleteI like them all very much, though Im not playing them every day - lol. Must have some variation in music. Music that makes me get in a good mood is most of the times Country Music -lol
Hi Anne, yes they certainly did - Good Morning from here and "Good Day Sunshine" : )
ReplyDeleteThe Beatles I believe everyone in almost any country in the world including the Soviet Union - knows them and loves them. I think Paul serves as the Ambassador now.
It's special when you hear something that was playing while life what shaping us all....
Sure is, when mostly music that comes out these days are of no interrest at all to me, but then we have age - lol - to consider too. Youngsters want it like this. Ive discovered that some of these "rappers" might have something useful to say, but .......
ReplyDeleteHehe, maybe its not meant to be understood either !
Hope the day is good at your end - quite good here!
Anne
You know yesterday I thought it was Thursday for god's sake! Not kidding and I am sitting here as I have a call or email that is coming to me by my main server. So that is an ordeal. I feel good and I have been patiently waiting for things as you know. But how fast time does go.
ReplyDeleteA spot of tea for the one that is from Norway and one for the Tam from England?
And a big hug to a great friend of mine whom will again follow the stars as Venus and Mars are alright.....in Australia.

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful soul... inside and out. He came to Québec city last year for the 400th of our culture. Just so generous. Some (Prolly a group of 10 they call the heard of separatists) opposed his British breeding trying to make a political statement. He handled it with so much grace. I wanted to kiss the television when he addressed the issue.
ReplyDeleteCool beaners!
My first real date with the spousal unit was in Quebec City....that is a gorgeous place
ReplyDeletelol @ Spousal unit.
ReplyDeleteQuébec City is sucha gem! Romantique oui !!!
I learned to read French on the drive from Montreal to Quebeck City.....
ReplyDeleteWould you like to get a Master's degree in Beatlology? It would be interesting to study the cultural ramifications of their music and tours.
ReplyDeleteTime does go fast!!!!
ReplyDeleteQuebec City is the small little europe on this side of the pond...I have never seen Paul perform.
ReplyDeleteQuebec City now speaks both english and french....the old school stubbornly hold on to this seperation movement, that time has far past.
ReplyDeleteMy cousin lives there...
Mimi, your playing it, as Quebec is terrific, but there are other cities as well. Vancouver, Calgary, Saskatoon, London, Ontario, St. John's, and Dorvall, Hall just outside of Ottawa... oui. :) Romantic is not in one place along in fact I think is were ever a person lives...
ReplyDeleteWould love it!
ReplyDeleteGood to hear these old Beatles songs being done here by Mr McCartney and the band(s) they must be the best Beatles tribute bands that ever was, Can't Buy Me Love and these other songs sound just like the originals... which I remember very well.
ReplyDeleteI especially remember all of the excitement of the early days of The Beatles, I saw them in one of their first British TV appearances... on a children's programme called 'Tuesday Rendezvous'.... they played From Me To You... it was in 1963, I was 11 years old and was completely in awe of them.
A lot of water has passed under the bridge since then, thanks for posting these clips Jack.
