It Makes the World Go Around and Around...

Music is something that just makes the world go around. In the midst of wars and at any time in history – music was that certain something that seemingly has always brought out the funk, and the fun side of each one of us.

I think it’s all do to the expression of it all.

  1. Makes me smile every time, if it's music I can appreciate and enter into!

  3. I think that music is the fiber that the very Universe is made of! Everything has its own rythm!

  4. The movie Good Morning Viet Nam, to me, was a good case in point about music. It was accurate music for the time and stuff I remember listening to on the radio but what it meant to me and seeing what it meant to soldiers in vietnam was quite something.

  6. I think there's music to express every kind of mindset and mood there is. Lots of singers have used their music to make statements about the times and the changes they bring. I am never sure if they are speaking public views, or swaying public opinion.
Some songs just make people more aware of things. Like Rebas' "She Thinks His Name Was John. " Or Martinas "Independence Day" and "Concrete Angel." And Shanias' "Black Eyes, Blue Tears."
Lots of terrific songs came about over 9/11. Songs to share grief, anger, and hope for the future. Or just to remember and remind us never, ever to forget.
Was just watching a tv. video of "There's A Hole In The World Tonight" by the Eagles. I was never much of an Eagles fan but that's a terrific song.
