As mentioned before, the weather is going down to -45 c /-45 f , over night. I wanted to go take some pictures and I left after ordering in some food for my folks and then I left there home and went about to to some area, I did take several video's but as time passed just in one hour I found that my camera had to have the batteries replaced two times. There is a street that is a very artsy one called Broadway Avenue. I went there and I ran into a one person that was from England I think by way of his accent and he asked me "how's the camera going". He knew obviously from doing the same thing that this is really not the weather to be doing much of this. Believe it or not the city does not go silent, there are places in which people are out at but for the most part most wait till the weekend and then do "this and that"...
The flag I hope does not offend anyone, it's one is just what it is...as my father is a proud canadian and has been but for myself I believe in Canada but I wished to have more different pictures but it's very hard to be creative in the midst of this cold during the winter. But one does try...
very pretty

ReplyDeleteEnjoy the minus 45. It has warmed up here and is raining. Go figure.
ReplyDeleteThank you Cyn...
ReplyDeleteYes it is ...it's one that as I mentioned mentioned back a long time ago with regards too - as it's a house that will go on for generation to generation.
ReplyDeleteIn three days here they say it's going up to 1c. I am not sure what that is in Fahrenheit but I don't mind the snow it's just when it goes from one extreme from another.
ReplyDeleteA coffee at "Tim's" seems to be the place to go or Starbucks...
This is one of my favs from tonight when I went out. It speaks to me in some manner.
ReplyDeleteI wonder what they would be playing "Home on the Range" or "Home near the Range"...~smiles~
ReplyDeleteI liked this shot it's on this artsy avenue called Broadway...
This is beautiful. ..but where are the people? Not a single soul....thank you for sharing, Jack.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm heading to Michigan...I must be nuts
ReplyDeleteHeavens no the flag doesn't offend me, I think it's beautiful as are all of these photos of the night!
ReplyDeleteThere where a few that were out not many this entire picture was taken at about 7:45pm...maybe 8:00...and most were either within a place but I don't wish to have them in the picture as I don't think that you or I would like to have our picture taken from someone that we did not know. But from a distance in the summer and when it's even just a tad warmer - there are more people out Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays are the evenings that most things go on and really is the beginning of the weekend.
ReplyDeleteThere was one behind the lens :)....No right now with a coffee I can say that it is ---- 30 below Celsius. This is the morning after posting this yesterday evening.
I believe that this is my favorite one. There is something so...wintery about it....
ReplyDeleteYes I went out after in the evening and took them last night...it was too cold to take more than a few as last night it went down to - 40 with the wind chill....
ReplyDeleteThere are three layers of the same picture I thought I would try to be creative with it....
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job:)
ReplyDeleteThank you - I was pondering on what you create there with fabric of something.
ReplyDeleteI actually have done the greenman one on fabric and it turned out very nice. I am practicing some celtic knotwork now to go as a border...
ReplyDeletehope your next in that generation! looks mighty warm in there despite the chilly nite!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a candle *smiles*
ReplyDeleteThank you Mimi.....~ Vibrant et lumineux dans le ciel de la nuit ~
ReplyDeleteWell you will be returning to a climate where you live that is much different to this, and I always like that I idea of living in a warm climate where you never have winter and for Christmas or a small vacation such as skying you head of to enjoy it and then come back.
ReplyDeleteJust never book a flight or a vacation to Siberia :) There is no hot chocolate there!
The third that bares my exact same name. My great grand father to my grandfather had exactly the same name as my own I don't know why I was given the name as I was a mistake....my brother and sister are 5years and 6 years older than me.
