No longer are we within an era of the caveman when grunts and gestures got us by. Mind you that all said I am looking forward to the spring again.
Language has evolved into an art form with slang terms accepted in most of today's dictionaries. It is by our own education and life experience that we learn to associate words.
We learn the value of words and the power of them to influence others and the association of the word differs with each individual. If you've ever done the association test; saying the first thing that comes to mind when a word is spoken; you learn a lot about what motivates you. Words have the ability to encourage, heal, uplift. When someone doubts himself, having the right person expressing belief in him can make all the difference.
With the written word, you have the ability to educate and inspire, share thoughts with others at a distance, create binding agreements between individuals and nations, as well as leave a legacy for those who come after each and everyone of us. We choose the words we use and we choose the manner in which we use them. For every word we speak or write, there are consequences for them.
It’s obvious our own inner thoughts give value. At the same time that could go into a direction of denial. Or we can think in a manner that will not give way to a direction of value. So within how we think is something ->with some manner that is a dynamic of choice. But we do have the choice of how much we wish to think on some things that are not necessary – as they may not take us anywhere, where as other thoughts do take us places. As with the painter something can come from nothing just by the way of a creative thought or the way of thought. I think sometimes what we fail to see inside is a result of how one makes the choice of how they process everything.
We all have times in which we fail to see from within. I know that sometimes I forget to connect with the power of what is within. So often we will act with our emotions and that will sometimes deprive our own feelings of what can be rather than what can’t be. I tend to think that it’s a balancing act that each person does in their own way as what surrounds them within their life and how they tap into their inner dialogue.
Within a realization of what is, you can then bring about what.....can be rather than what can’t be. That all said I know I am weaving my way around as an excusion of thoughts but one thing is for sure - I can't wait till winter is over.
You seem to have a firm hold on how to use them....it is all about communication.
ReplyDeleteKaryn I will be honest with you I have the hardest time with what I write. I never copy and past I will take things just from the day and in the evening there is a time where I just enjoy writing down some of my own thoughts.
ReplyDeleteI have done that many of times and I don't think I am a great writer I really don't I am much more vocal, but I love certain areas and there was this one blog which duality came up and it really has been something I have wished to come back too.
Communication is the key, I agree.
I placed a picture from one summer ago as it has nothing to do with the writing but I can't wait for this weather to change...

ReplyDeleteYour post reminds me of a book I've read, Nonviolent Communication by Marshall Rosenberg. He has some wonderful books out about the way we communicate and express ourselves with each other....he also has a neat website.....I'll look it up and come back and post it.......

ReplyDeleteI so ready for spring too....It seems winter started early here this year....
I think how a person chooses to express themselves determines a lot about how they are seen by others.
ReplyDeleteMaybe Canada and the US will get lucky and have early springs this year. I hope so!
Oh I hope your right Norma...but at least the last two days there has been a break from it all.
ReplyDeleteVery nice site!
ReplyDeleteCommunication... in all of its forms is easier done when a multiply dude opens his message board on front page HINT HINT ! lol
ReplyDelete?
ReplyDeleteYou know.. where you leave me messages once in a while..... on the front of my page.. The message board? http://mimisplace.multiply.com/ the place I call *Bonjour darlings*.... yours in closed. Indirect hello's when reaching out is only possible with a few words... and time doesn't allow the *blog* experience? That lil option permits another dialog/communication opportunity. That *?* lol.
