University Students Video.avi

Talking to some students from the University, this was the first university that attended and it was interesting to talk to these young ladies from China. It was there first year outside of China.

Each of them were in studies for different degrees. The one thing we did share in common was that we were not used to this crazed climate during winter.

It was fun, although there were not many people on the within the university during a morning that was rather cold.

  1. I used to speak a tiny bit of Cantonese, but I've heard "thank you" in Mandarin at a Chinese restaurant. It's hard to find schools who offer courses any such languages in this area... at least it was when I was going to college. They might have improved by now.

  2. Clap, clap, clap Jack. Great job. Bilingual students are normally bashful!!! But you managed to make them talk. Am impressed. Keep it going..have a nice day and take care.

  3. Amy, I did not make them we talked for 15 minutes and it was really nice. I think that when we see that each person is of different origins it really does not matter and these young ladies were very intelligent. This was something that was just done as while we talked they asked what I was doing and then it was natural and we made a small video - why not...

  4. I speak three languages but just by way of friends from a place that I have trained at I have learned a few words, but only in mandarin. I don't speak any dialect of chinese origins. They probably have improved it. I am one for holding on to the language of the land while one can maintain there own culture at the same time.
