As I mentioned this is a bookstore that what ever place it goes into, it will become apart of the culture of the city yet at the same time has all the books much like a Barnes and Nobles. I was amazed to find that this was the "flagship" of all the stores that they have. And the chairs that they have for you to sit in and the coffee place ....it's a place to get lost in.
It's good to be home...
Isn't there one in Victoria? I've been there... nice atmosphere!
ReplyDeletelooks so pleasant inside that store, I think I could spend most of a day there
ReplyDeleteNice looking shop (never let me loose in a bookshop lol) Coffee, cosy armchairs and books go together so well.
ReplyDeleteGA there could be Paul McNally grew these two stores to six in total, when I called him back during the days of y360 for a especially one person that I knew that honestly wrote and was trying to do something and inspire people at that time I knew that he had one in Winnipeg, Saskatoon, Calgary....then I was blown away when I found out that he had opened one in Manhattan.
ReplyDeleteThen today I found that by way of this lady that he had closed down Calgary. But it's a very nice store, so I thought I would share my world with ya. Why not and thanks...
In the past I have and who could not resist a bookstore within there own vicinity.
ReplyDeleteI love to just grab a book and read it when there is time. Right now I do have a father that is on his tale end but that is all fine but this month I take my own time to do the things that I wish to do, as I believe I did mention that I had some troubles with an old friend and I am waiting for all to be resolved with that in Edmonton. Why did I leave Edmonton. I did not like it and I found that regardless of family matters I love this city and all that comes with it, but I do not like this computer as I have had some troubles with it but I will format it all again on the weekend or just take it in and let the techs do it here.
ReplyDeleteI literally love these chairs....
ReplyDeleteI like the contrast of the books and the metal warehouse look.
ReplyDeleteThe roof yeah I am not sure if you read much but even if you browse it's a grand place Lyn.
ReplyDeleteI love to read, good mysteries and spy stories. Looks like a great place. We have a huge old fashioned book store Haslams. It would take hours to look at all the things they have. I think they have a website too. Hope your day is going well, I'm off to work.
ReplyDeleteReminds me of the public library here.... I love spending time there lounging.
ReplyDeleteYes I believe I placed the website on either my photo page....it's somewhere here as I am fixing my computer right now. I love to read the newspaper believe it or not and other than that I learn from the people that I surround myself with. Surprising whom you can meet while in a bookstore as similar interests sometimes lead to friendships.
ReplyDeleteI love the library but I hate not being able to have a book indefinitely Mimi....
ReplyDeleteAny Paulo Coelho there, Jack ... I like his writings :)))
