Is it my imagination, or are we getting an inordinate amount of the white stuff lately?
The only time it’s not fun is when the windchill is minus a million and the snow
blows right back in your face no matter which direction you throw it.
Why is that, I wonder?
Must be one of those unexplainable laws of the universe.
Same set of laws that govern the flight of a golf ball, I think.
Has anyone checked to see what the Gulf Stream is up to these days? Maybe later....... but now I have to venture out in this......... These are the mornings I have this insane wish that the van won't start. *L*
ReplyDeleteI'm so grateful I got my stuff done yesterday so I don't have to go out in this! And yeah, it does seem like there's lots of the white stuff. I love winter but even I've about had enough already and WE'RE JUST GETTING STARTED!! Yikes!
ReplyDeleteno global warming where you are huh?
ReplyDeleteI love the climate where I live...
We are in winter mode here in the tropics, predicted lows in the 30s for a couple days. This is the "dead of winter" for us. Stay warm.
ReplyDeleteThat's why they don't say "global warming" anymore. It is called "climate change" now, so I was informed by a friend.
ReplyDeleteHehehe so so true!
ReplyDeleteMinus 21c in Montreal today... wind chill factor brings it down to minus 28c. What ever wind chill means..... if it feels minus 28c its minus 28c geeeshhhhh !!! If it was minus 28c and it felt like 20c I wouldn't complain so much!
I am in the southern tip of Illinois, and they are predicted below zero temps for us tonight, which is not at all normal. Its making me shiver just thinking about it! And I feel so badly for my Northern most friends who have it way worse than I do!
ReplyDeleteI love this place but the weather is something during the months that we have this weather. The one thing was that most of the day it was very sunny and with regards to global warming I truly believe that it's a cycle that comes and goes as this year is atypical. You walk out into it and what one does ask oneself so often is "huh" - that is if one never checked to see what the weather channel indicates.
ReplyDeleteStayed warm and just got home there was a lot to do on today. And the there is a prediction that come Saturday it's warming up.....to 1c which would be around 25f I believe.
ReplyDeletesmiling...
ReplyDeleteI have been through Chicago two times and I had a friend that I do keep in touch with and one time he was talking about how cold it was and after one and a half years he moved back to Florida. The jet stream that is doing this is coming from Alaska and it is working down through western canada - then down to middle of the US, and then it's coming back up your way in Illinois and back into Manitoba. So right now that jet stream is has been bring cold from one part to another - but there is a warmer jet stream that is probably will be coming within three days but seeing is believing!
ReplyDeleteKeep warm. Better toss on an extra blanket tonight ;)
ReplyDeleteOr just place on long johns and wear warm socks!
ReplyDeleteThat'll work hehe
ReplyDeleteThe temperature in Montreal right now is -22C (-7F) and the humidity is 54%. There won't be a drop in the temperature until Monday. It's much too cold to do anything outdoors, not even a walk.
ReplyDeleteI did two evening ago but my camera can't do as much as I would like it to do but it showed what it's like here the best that it could.......
