When it keeps repeating itself and there are many things on ones plate.
Various theories have been advanced about Palestinian terror. But never has there ever been a resolve. And yes the people pay the price. It's terrible to see some of these things that are taking place and what does any nation do?
There are some harsh realities that do take place in this world and we do see them. But do we always look to resolve them or allow them to play out.
Many at this point that are within the working circles of the world would say to do what is mentioned above. One survives and one doesn’t.
But that is a harsh manner to look at things especially from our own perspectives. But at the same time we don't wish to have any more loss within our own countries.
Right now Tony Blair along with the French Prime Minister seem to be achieving dialogue as all industrialized countries understand that there is too much at hand within
our own countries. But yet it seems that may be the way to go. One thing to note - in the past with the exception to a few presidents in the ever going situation that exists
there has always been a biased to Israel. I am saying it as it is. One fact is that there are more Jews that live in United States than within Israel itself. Secondly, if Israel really wishes to they could without any apprehension take over Palestine.
Here within Canada, in our history we trained the Israel Air Force and Military. My father new that man that led the entire training after he had retired from the air force. So I don't know what the answer is. I am a person that does care about things that go on within countries and people. But at the same time in seeing all that is happening I would do something that is not typical of my own thoughts. I would hold on and wait and see what the outcome is. The election of the extremist Hamas movement, does not due justice for
Palestine. In my own opinion, I don't think this will ever end and I am sorry to see what is happening there. So it will be great if in the interim if at least humanitarian organizations can get into Palestine and tend to what they can for those that are surviving it.
Will the America's get involved? In my opinion I think that there will be dialogue, but with a shift in allowing some of the European nations tend to it. As they are right now. But you know as well as I that we will never see those two countries co exist. History proves it, especially when you take into consideration the endless fighting that has taken place since the Ottoman Empire. As it all goes back to that.
I do hope there is a cease fire, I think that all we can do is hope for the best for the people on both sides. As there will never be in my opinion action taken by any one industrialized country. I feel sorry for the people. But that is my own point of view.
Mahmoud Zahar doesn't believe in evolution. And he has not evolved. Mahmoud Zahar, co-founder of Hamas, this could be the main problem. Lets hope that it goes back into a situartion of neutrality again as it has before for a year or so.
I look forward to one leader that may do something that we nor generations back in our history. And his name is President Borak Obama. For myself I see him as having a very international leader.
Peace is different things to different people but we all do learn from it.
Iri - If your out there and online this writing is inspired by your thoughts as right now here in Canada we have weather so many people in the war in Afganastan as well as in Africa. As well there are Canadians and I am sure people that are from other countries that are trapped in that mess in Gaza.
Thank you. It is good to think that my posts can make other people think and make up their own minds.
ReplyDeleteI think that somehow, in the end, the Palestinians and the Zionists will have to learn to get on and share the landscape that they both claim as their own. In fact they have more in common than not. But Israel would have to change some of their laws especially those around property. It is a very racist thing they have, that people must prove their Jewish ancestry before they can buy land, houses, etc. Palestinians were in that land before the Zionists, it is their home too, in the same way that native Canadian people were in Canada before the colonists. The situation in Israel/Palestine is very much about colonialism/occupation and the issues that belong with that situation.
The people are indeed caught in the middle between leaders filled with hate and prejudice.
Of course all Jewish people are not Zionists, but there do seem to be very strong links between the US and Israel. More Aid Funds are directed to Israel from the US than anywhere else in the world.
I see where you are coming from; I would think that man would have believed he was doing the right thing by the Jewish people. They are a people with such a sad and terrible history. After the holocaust people wanted to make things right, but as we see now, forcibly removing land from the people already there was not the right thing after all. But then who would have thought that Zionists would make a holocaust onto another people.
ReplyDeleteSo true but within Canada this would mimic to a smaller extent what took place a long time ago between the French and English. As there was a terrorist organization called the French Liberation Organization. And in the 60's there was division. As well, Canada was first founded by the french, mind you not the entire nation. And for the most part we all have come to a time in which there truly is no division. So we worked it out due to a man by the name of Pierre Elliott Trudeau. And if I may say Canada is not a perfect country, but Lester B. Pearson introduce peace keeping to the United Nations around the same time.
ReplyDeleteBut I do like what Obama is doing but I believe he will will not get too involved in what is going on there but he will play a role - or Hillary will for him. War is not good, but life is good. Sometimes we can't do all that we desire to do. HIstory does prove that when we learn from it.
Yes, but if I may say did we learn from the Holocaust? Seems that somethings do repeat themselves. But then again we I think war and all that is happening in the world today we have to render some act of diplomacy and understand that all the areas of the world can not be solved but humanitarian acts can be, if sanctions take place. As there will not be another bomb that goes off as we are living in a more intelligent thoughtful manner. Alliances are as well with all the technology they have since September 11th.
