Well it’s slowly warming up here.
The snow is all gone and last night for some reason I could not sleep. I woke up and then went back to bed, I gazed for a while outside to see the night lights and how the streets were so silent.
Then this morning I woke up at 9am. I usually am up early, but it was nice to wake up and just have a coffee along with my friend Gary whom is going through a break up right now but that is his own business – and some of us have been there before.
So how do I summarize it, I have had a call from my mother, she always calls and then after than I wanted to just get out to the gym or something as I am waiting so for the warmer weather to begin. I then headed down to the university as this week I will be having a few other meetings and I just got out by 10am and was on my way. I decided that I would head over to the aikido dojo, but then as I approached the university I pulled over and asked a few people on where there is some places to get some photographic vantages. One had mentioned a certain route, so I went there and I came across this place – the house, I didn’t know what it was I thought it was some restaurant and then when I parked – I talked to a man that told me of some great places to take pictures he went into a long talk about the river side and the history of it. Then I mentioned about this house and he told me about it basically.
So I went into it myself, I have done this before and I was greeted by a nice host and I explained that I was rather new to the city and she then brought together a entire group of ladies and they talked about what they would do. Meanwhile I was looking around and I ran into someone from the CTV broadcasting service. And they asked me who I was. I smiled and indicated that I was just someone that was new to town and they indicated that they were filming as it was a one week special of some sort within this Rutherford House.
Amazing how on one side you had a crew setting up and then on the other you had young
musicians that were playing to a variety of people, some there parents and other wise.
So I finally got all these shots, I made sure that I didn’t get any people in it as it started to fill up and everyone was enjoying themselves. Especially me! At the end of it all I gave all three people my page and who knows if they will see this or not as they really were fine people.
Before I left I saw the cutest you girl from Thailand that was only about 7, and I talked to her mother and she went on about her daughter and how talented she was. I wanted so badly to do a picture of her, and her daughter and the father if there was one but I had to meet up with my brother whom lives here. So I left and by that time it was already 2pm.
There is just not enough time, especially when a weekend is something that you wish to enjoy as I have.
I got to an artsy area of the city as my brother called me on my cell, and I saw him for the first time in a long time. I didn’t realize that it was his birthday. He was doing what he always does – looking for the older Beatles and music from the 60’s. His wife left off and let us alone and we talked a bit and I then left and came back with a Beatles complication of music – he has it all – but it’s the meaning that counts. Then after that he asked how things were going – I said good, he seemed rather reserve. As I think he gets down each time he has a birthday and still wishes to be younger. I don’t know why but that is my brother. Now it was about 4pm, and I knew that I had to get going, as it was time to get back to my end of the city.
And now here I at 11:30 understand full well that tomorrow is Monday.
But there are some people that are on this blog that are from the other areas of the world.
That all said, I like this thought of “the stars”. Because they do shine. Each night now that it has warmed up in comparison to one month ago – I look up and I look at those stars and in some manner it’s a conclusion to the day. So with that all said, there is one thing we do have all in common. We all can look up in the night sky and see the very same stars.
It’s just a thought but a good one. For those – most of which are on the eastern side of this continent – Good morning.
as usual your blog about families is sooo sweet... and although i am not from the eastern part of your continent, it is mid mid afternoon here at the OTHER SIDE of the GLOBE where the sun is shining very brightly and we are on a Monday of our second week of summer.... and i would like to greet you there a warm good evening... say hello to the stars that i will be seeing soon tonight....
ReplyDeleteVERY BEAUTIFUL.....
ReplyDeleteGood picture of the nice pick-up as we called them. I have done the same as you have, looking at the sky before going to bed. The moon and stars were hidden under the clouds. However It was nice just to know they were there. A good morning to you in the West!
ReplyDeleteGood morning Jack, although it is now Monday morning and I'm getting ready for work. It sounds like you had an interesting day there, my friend. Its getting warmer here as well, especially the nights. I look forward to summer.
ReplyDeleteGood Afternoon and a Good morning - that all being said, it's time and as well time to smile we shall catch you later tonight!
ReplyDeleteIt's Monday evening for me now. There are no stars in the sky tonight. We still have a lot of snow and more fell today. It lasted just a bit over an hour but it all melted on the streets and sidewalks during the afternoon.
ReplyDeleteI'm very much looking for warmer weather and green grass.
Have a great week.
My comment wasn't accepted...don't know if this will work. If it does..A great week to you Jack.
ReplyDeleteG'day Jack,
ReplyDeleteAs your world slowly warms up, ours feels the dreaded chill of winter trying to force its way ahead of the Autumn we we are ½ way through, as the gale force winds whip trees up around our city with a rain storm waiting patiently in the wings for its turn to lash the area, there will be no stars for us this night, but it is your turn so I won't be too jealous, so enjoy
It worked...It is a great week. It's been a very good week.
