Regardless of what the outcome is within this American Presidential race – the one thing that it has stood for is a rekindling of a country. All three of the people that are running in this race all very decent people – you could profile each and everyone.
However I don’the see it as who is running now – I see it as who is voting. The vote is for some betterment in all affairs that United States. As John Kennedy said, “It’s not what you ask of your country – it’s what you do for your country”. Probably there is much more to this now. But I truly believe that from sitting on this side of the fence in Canada.
It’s very touching to see the patriotic dream come alive in a new manner. Or perhaps in some way – yet gaining an understanding of what can be done.
Here is a creative thought. Just imagine if all three could work together and work in office. That would be something else. But politics are harsh and it’s a race. As one that resides now in Canada – if I had my chance to vote I certainly would. The most fascinating country to me right now is the United States how a country is doing something that will be such a tremendous change in several ways. One to mention is that outside of Lou Dobbs talking in lingo of "colors" - most all people respectfully exercising a meaning full right. For America has come alive in a manner that is exposing things and allowing people now to see what is and what is not.
God Bless America
As America is not in the making of something that we have not seen in our lifetime nor shall we again. That all said I think the word that sums up is Hope. Not just America wishes for a change of “smart power”, but righteous power. And in the manner in which people are voting and respecting each other – sometimes you just have to be amazed at how it all is from a different vantage point.
We too are interested to see the results. Honestly it would be nice to see a new President that would represent a first in history. A story to follow.
ReplyDeleteI love this .. It speaks to many Americans as well as to other countries..This is how I see our country..Hope is the only way to sum it up. thank you for this..
ReplyDeleteI truly mean that and some that have seen some from the old blog would understand how just how much I do mean that. I don't look at it from a perspective of negligence of power, I look at it as the America I have known and sincerely do believe in.
ReplyDelete"Righteous power" is the manner in which I see all three of these people sincerely wishing to do. And without an understanding of what is needed all all different areas. "Smart power" what I do believe people want. As they should and all the countries that will work along with America as has been done and can be done.
I AM HERE IN TEXAS.....PATIENTLY WAITING TO SEE WHAT THE PEOPLE OF MY STATE HAS CHOSEN TO DO ON THIS IMPORTANT DAY!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteRegardless of who wins the election, we'll be well-rid of Bush after a very long eight years. I have a feeling it's going to be McCain vs. Obama, with McCain the winner. Just a prediction, that's all.
ReplyDeleteThis is easily the most interesting election I have ever witnessed. It would have been a big deal, in any case, just over the fact we will finally be rid of Bush. I think everyone is hoping not just for a leader who can do a good job but one capable of undoing some of the damage Bush has done both at home and abroad. Adding to the mix two candidates who will be making history, should either of them win the big election, certainly kicked things up another notch.
ReplyDeleteI think these candidates have inspired hope in many. This is true more of Obama and Clinton, than of McCain, in my opinion. It's bringing some good to light as well. Such as maybe not so many in this country are still as chauvenistic or racist as they still get painted as. Of course, it has also brung to light there are some who still only speak the politically correct things when dealing with sex and race, rather than walk the talk.
One thing I am loving about this race is that it has inspired more people to vote. Most areas have been experiencing the largest voter turnout for a primary race in history. No doubt many will vote this one election and then go back to ducking the whole voting thing, but maybe some will stick and maintain an interest in making their opinion count.
The only thing that I think is very different is how the equal representation and the electoral process is different actually in my own opinion is should be the majority of the population wins.
ReplyDeleteBut this write was not with regards to the electoral process it's more about the people and how this is such a remarkable time.
What would be interesting is to see what people from various outher countries thought as I do believe in countires working together. That has been and will never vanish. However all three of these people have some qualities that really are remarkable.
What I find so interesting is that Obama is one of the best speakers that we have seen in a very long time. He is brilliant and he is new. This equals hope.
ReplyDeleteWith Hillary I find that if she left Bill out of the campaign she will fair much better. However she has shown her passion and many see that.
McCain is a tremendous man that probably has more understanding on a very experienced level.
Yes it's a vantage from Canada - resided in America for a large portion of his life and I love the passion of America politics. Not the anger.
ReplyDeleteI could go on with this and I did before with my old blog I think everyone knows from thier own perspective. I made one mention of Lou Dobbs and some of the media as the NAFTA agreement which George blew due to Canada staying only in Afghanstan, is something that was what most people don't see. Canada is right now merging as the largest supplier. Lou from CNN always has this very internalistic mentality and if there was no trade agreement both countries would suffer. McCain was the first to pick up on this and it aired in the USA four days later. Tells you something with regards to the media. McCain knew how quick Canada was in Afghanastan. But that is politics by way of "filtred media".
ReplyDeleteIt is very inspirational to say the least to see this process taking place. I truly believe this Norma. I only wish that the process didnt take so long as I hope that the "movement of this process does not dwindle. This is the longest campaign in I think your time and my time.
ReplyDeleteI am not sure what the length of the longest primary race has been, to date. The Republicans have already determined their candidate for the big election, if I am not mistaken. I was just reading earlier that Clinton and Obama haven't ruled out the possibility that they may eventually decided to join ranks and share a ticket for the big race...though both are saying it's too early yet to go into serious talks about it. Sure would be interesting to see those two as a team, wouldn't it?

ReplyDeleteDont know if this above worked but I think these three are tremendous people and outside of the politics it's amazing to see what all comes out of this - just wished it didnt take so long. As that's allot of money for just the first half of the campaign.
ReplyDeleteYeah, it worked. Sound came in well and is very clear. The article I read said Hillary was saying their teaming up wasn't out of the question but they'd need to decide who had top billing on the ticket. They quoted Obama as saying it was far too early to be talking teaming up but didn't rule out the possibility.
ReplyDeleteRight now, Obama is taking some heavy flak about where some of his campaign funding comes from. And catching grief over his wifes' ill-chosen words about pride in America. Up until recently, the media seemed to favor Obama but the tide appears to be changing.
I agree with you about the money being spent and they haven't even reached the second stage yet. I think most would love to see a limit set on amounts each candidate is allowed to spend.
All the best to you too. Hey, it's almost the weekend!!!! Have a good one.
