I am not sure about you but I am tired of this last winter. I can't wait for spring. There are so many things I found during spring. I miss spring, I look forward to it. Here again I had to go into my old blog as I don't have all the pictures I have taken.
By the time multiply started there was it was hard to get back some of the pictures in a resoluton that came out in a manner that gave some vantage of spring and as well summer.
But I am not sure about you - I am really looking forward to it. Meanwhile now we change our time by one hour with the exception of some areas that don't and then the next day is daylight savings time.
A Prayer in Spring
Oh, give us pleasure in the flowers to-day;
And give us not to think so far away
As the uncertain harvest; keep us here
All simply in the springing of the year.
Oh, give us pleasure in the orchard white,
Like nothing else by day, like ghosts by night;
And make us happy in the happy bees,
The swarm dilating round the perfect trees.
And make us happy in the darting bird
That suddenly above the bees is heard,
The meteor that thrusts in with needle bill,
And off a blossom in mid air stands still.
For this is love and nothing else is love,
The which it is reserved for God above
To sanctify to what far ends He will,
But which it only needs that we fulfil.
Robert Frost
I understand what you mean my friend, I too, am ready for Spring. I have always lived in Oklahoma, for a little while in Texas, so I am not accustomed to cold weather. When it drops below 40 degrees F, it is too cold for me. I know thats nothing for you in Canada, give me those days that are from 85-100 degrees anytime. Spring is just right around the corner, GOD bless you greatly my friend.

I'm ready too.
ReplyDeleteOh I reside in Canada but I truly love spring. Some are more used to it than others however I look forward to the 70's up to the 80's.
ReplyDeleteNeat name/blog and "letmeflow" if your reside in chicago (maybe) then you might know what I mean. Peace.
ReplyDeleteI can relate to looking forward to Spring after Winter. Here in Australia we are officially in Autumn but the temperatures over the past few days have been over 100f with more to come. Hot, dry and dusty. Roll on the Autumn rains and cooler weather I say but after saying that Jack our Winters are mild compared to those in Canada. Hope Spring brings everything wonderful your way.
ReplyDeleteMy weekend is stuck inside by the air conditioner but anything to stay cool.... :)
Have a wonderful weekend there.
Spring shall come in like a tiger as the saying goes I hope it's so interesting how we are from different places but a great day to you over there.
ReplyDeleteToday more than ever! Stormy stormy night and day. Will need to listen to your song, it is a happy song. We will most probably have gotten our 40 cm of snow before the morning, we will see! When is March 21st? Your picture is really beautiful by the way Jack, and the poem too.
ReplyDeleteOh Spring will come way over there on the east coast you were hit with too much snow - but it will melt and be back to Spring. We don't have much snow here it's just slushy.
ReplyDeleteAnd that picture was taken in a different place to where I live know. So we shall see how spring is here.
ReplyDeleteThe signs of spring are just beginning here. The buds are beginning on the trees and the ice has almost dissapeared from the river. I love this time of year when the brown and greys of fall and the white of winter slowly fade into the beauty of spring.
ReplyDeleteTonight our temperature is 25f with the windchill making it feel like 16, or so...I can well understand your wishing for spring since I think you have much colder winters up there. Thing is, our area is so dry already. While I want spring to come, I worry if we don't soon get more rain. Hot weather will speed up the drought conditions. Already there have been several wildfires. I want lots and lots of rain, THEN spring.
ReplyDeleteOur clocks are set back this weekend too. I like the daylight savings time.
Today here it was and has been a nice day. And hopefully this continues. "The Beauty of Spring" that resonates something that one can picture. Thanks on a Sunday afternoon.
ReplyDeleteYes I woke up much earlier as had a call from a friend that was here from out of town and I think he called everyone so early that we all were awaking. I think he works to his own clock. And yes now we all have a longer evening. Different places - and different climates. That's the way of climates I guess.
ReplyDeleteI am in the middle of Florida on the west coast. Our spring comes with the oak trees losing their leaves one week and getting their new ones about two weeks later. Most of the leaves are off now. We don't stay cold, we can get to 40 degrees F, but it is only for 2 or 3 days and then we are up in the 70s again during the day. I grew up in Illinois with the snow drifts and frigid temps. I don't miss it.
ReplyDeleteBeen down there and no I don't think I would miss it at all - thank you and as the saying goes eutopia is under the feet however I am looking forward to the change of season.
ReplyDeleteI'll say Amen to that. I am sooo ready for spring and I deeply wish that all the snow would melt this instant.
ReplyDeleteG'day Jack,
ReplyDeleteI can understand your feeling s of anticipation of warmer weather, I hear about your winter & thank my lucky stars we don't have to suffer that sort of cold, but as your excitement mounts please give a thought to us who love the summer but now letting it go as we head into our Autumn, although the weather has been to my liking here for the past week or so in the high 90's F, I know it can't last, it is your turn for fun in the sun, enjoy it
