I do have a writing for tomorrow it's actually something tremendous that has happened. Now that all being said there are going to be a entire bunch of hoaxes and, well you know what I mean so maybe I should hold of till tomorrow. But now realizing this multiply, I may hold off in doing so.
Why do we have these traditions I ponder and where did April fools day come from. Without searching I have that feeling it came from England. I could be wrong.
To post or not to post on April Fools day in an authentic manner.
Hmm - this is the question.
i personally hate feeling gullible...so im not a fan of April Fools Day. Someone usually gets at my heartstrings cuz thats my vunerability and they know it. Common pranks are ok.....as long as im the prankster. We're all callng in sick tomorrow at work. only to arrive after the panic sets in on the boss. have a fun day!
ReplyDeleteO well... since your not posting anything i might as well share with you this song: Click here to hear & see the Lyrics: Be Gentle
ReplyDeleteMaybe we could ask what was your worst experience on April`s fools day? The one event I do remember at this time is a friend at work who had pretended that the group of Lotto had won an important amount. It had lasted all day and they were getting ready to organize the visit at the Lotto office to get the money. Some were getting very serious about it. When she finally declared April Fools, some where not the happiest campers, and blamed her for giving them such emotions. I have nothing against the paper fish on my back but... some jokes may be of bad taste.
ReplyDeleteI really don't mind at all the little harmless jokes that people play on each other and I can also laugh at myself when I have been gullible enough to get caught. On the other hand, I dislike anything that is too personal and might create false hope or bring someone to tears. I find these really cruel and some I've heard of are downright mean and ill-intended.
ReplyDeleteAs long as no-one is hurt physically or emotionally I have no problem with playing jokes or having the joke played on me. I love a good giggle even if the laugh is on me.
ReplyDeleteI missed my opertunity to catch anyone as it escaped my memory until the afternoon and I've always been told that it can only be done before noon.
Have a fun day Jack.
Watch your back.
Watch my back? why? Denise?
ReplyDeletereading all the blog and all the replies here makes me think this is really something practiced widely... i had some reminders not to fall for tricks on my page by my online american friends too... so i know jack you said you think it might have come from England but i googled it so i'll know... you know this is not in our culture, but we have a day so much like this one... it is called "niƱos inocentes dias" every December 28.... great, we have fools/innocence day in different cultures.... we, people really do like tricks, don't we.. ROFL
ReplyDeleteI woke up this morning and actually there was no fool looking in the window for it was me.
ReplyDeleteAs well as I mentioned as just finished eating and something very tremendous took place today - regardless of documents signed on April 1st.....will write about it later I think as I just went from work to grocery store to macdonalds > and showered now taking it easy for a while.........
But something (seriously folks) did happen today a in a great way.
Probably one of the best things in the last few years.
You've found someone???? well, whatever it is jack, congratulations.... i'm off to work..... good evening to you there.... a very sunny morning here.....
ReplyDeleteI'm weary of pats on the back on April Fools Day as you never know what you might find there. *smiles*
ReplyDeleteWill look forward to your write as to what took place today.
Sounds great!
I don't mind the April Fools pranks so long as they are kept within reason. Jokes and pranks can be great fun but not if someone is hurt by them.
ReplyDeleteHurry up an spill the beans, Jack!!!! What's the great news? Inquiring minds want to know, haha.
G'day Jack & friends,
ReplyDeleteI for one loved April fools day in the last office I worked in, they were all full of innocent fun & pranks, the main victom was our boss who was the biggest prankster of us all, only with him it was any day of the year so fools day was payback day for us, it's sad in a way but was another good time lost in retirement, it goes unnoticed here now
