Winter Ice Sculpture Festival

It's a community event that takes place in one part nearing the downtown. All the donations go to some foundation which I did not get the information. But several different people participate in a manner in creating something out of ice to celebrate during the late January for a duration of a few weeks.

  3. The castle seems nice. There is a lot of work that goes into those sculpture. I remember one year we had made them in high school. I cannot remember what we had done. All I can think of is an Eskimo with a fish. Go figure, that was some 30 years ago! It's fun to see your pictures. I can feel the chilly air on the cheeks. You must have had a nice time there.

  6. The one thing that I love most of all is the vantages and the shares that a picture do. This was something I enjoyed very much and thank Lavern, Susan, and Norma....it's getting really cold however hopefully this will be the tail end of the cold streach for this year as this is the time where it hits it's coldest. And thereafter is slowly starts to warm up tomorrow it's going down to -30c. I am not sure what that is in farenhiety but it's cold.
The people that took the time to do these sculptures definately must have been well prepared for it.

  7. Just checked our weather earlier and looks like our area is supposed to warm up some. Not REALLY warm but much friendlier temps than we have been having lately, thank goodness!

  9. Yeah, Jack, I was just reading that on your other blog entry. Try not to freeze. Stay inside, as much as possible, though I know you dislike being cooped up.
