While The City Sleeps

Nearing the time of Christmas within the city these are some of a few vantages of only one part of the city. They say a city sleeps, however some of the most conceptual photography is taken at night.

  1. I was expecting to see the road sweepers cleaning up the street ... must be a cold night.

  2. I like to walk in a city at night when it is calm (I cannot do it much alone however although around here it is usually safe). It gives it another dimension. You hear the sounds differently, see things that are usually hidden by the vehicles or the crowd. A good time for taking pictures too when you want to take them without the people all over the place. You have got nice shots in this set Jack.

  4. Yeah, same here however it was a tad of work but the circle in the middle of the downtown......I like this picture very much. I am not much for walks in cold weather. Actually anyone that knows me knows how much I don't like the cold. But we all are looking at them in the warmth of our home....: >

  7. It's our world, but when it can be itself, alone, it is truly beautiful.

Besides, it needs it's time alone to "sleep". At the same time rejuvenating.
