In the time that I have not been online is some sort of wholeness that I have been ensembling during this time. Aside of work there are so many things that I have been thinking about.
I have thought about love in my life, I have thought about my goals, I have thought about the past, and I have thought about the future.
Where does this lead me? I am not sure what the future brings, but I am assured of what good things do happen and CAN take place. Life is a complicated mess at times however sometimes for myself I look at it in a manner that is with regard to emptiness. I am not empty but I have the time in life to have much more water to fill within the glass. We often look at a glass as half emply or half full, to me if you look at it from several directions and vantages there is something more that you see within in the glass.
Everyone has a different priority, I spoke to a lady from Jamaica. If only I could tap into her thoughts as she never stops taking but when she is determined she has some of the most profound and valid thoughts.
WE are what we are - we can't be anymore than whom we are. Regardless of color, creed - when it all comes down to it we all are human beings on this planet.
Thank you very much to one person off here that sent a Christmas Card. For she is a good friend and to have opened the mail tonight and seen this card was one word "TRUST" and the meaning of what this is all about to myself. I have a few new people on my blog, thanks I am finding that I have come to a halt with my writings as I am busy....however I certainly thank you for visitng my site or being reffered to it.
As we go into the last weekend of this year - peace and good will to each and everyone.
Jack
This time always call for reflection, I'm not sure where it started but anyhow we still do. May 2008 be one to remember for all of us.
ReplyDeleteBest of luck on all that you are working on, Jack. Have a wonderful New Year!
ReplyDeleteAs optimistic as we may be, seeing the glass half full, there are things we find in others that make the glass overflow in a positive manner. May yours be overrun with peace, love, happiness, wealth and good health in 2008.
ReplyDeleteWishing you all the best of the New Year, Jack.
ReplyDeleteTrue, Jack...regardless of color or creed, we are all human beings on this planet...
ReplyDeleteAnd since we are here, we might just as well make ourselves assets; not liabilities. But then sometimes, while everyone does try to make a conscious effort at doing what he thinks is best, it all boils down to one's perspective in life.
God bless you, Jack.
Hi Jack, firstly thankyou for visiting and leaving your sweet thoughts, i just before visited a friends blog (meonomous) and he created the phrase 'tapestry of clarity', this is what i wish for you.
ReplyDeleteblessings my friend, have been busy myself, but will be back soon to connect, here's to a bright new year ahead!
xkylie
reflections of the past year, that is the theme of the week I suppose, and an excellent way to begin a new year
ReplyDeletemay your new year be blessed my friend
with luv, c
Maybe the empty half of the glass itself is an encouragement to keep living with hope.
ReplyDeleteIt is good to see there always is something to think about and to look for and to reach to.
Important writing!
Peace!
I like the half full concept. That implies that the glass will continue to be filled. To me, half empty says that something is being lost. Interesting thoughts you have been having. I wish you serendipity!
ReplyDeleteWell this new year for me is much different from the last two. For some this is a time of year that is hard - for some it's easy and very enjoyable. I am in a new city and I see each and every day after the new year as new.
ReplyDeleteI will say there is a bit of a reflective on it. So without sounding negative - I think we all will enjoy what we bring in and let go in the new year or 2008.
To each and everyone of you I really extend the best to you. You - yourself, you and your family, you and what is encompassed within the festivities.
Susan the glass in a large glass ready for much new water, Ali the glass is symblic, I like that view. Everyone on here a merry one too you > HAPPY NEW YEAR!
I find myself reflecting my life in general the last couple of days. To me half empty means being halfway to be being fulfilled in the future. I'm going to with the past just that behind me. Now it's my time to move on again and not feel guilty....life is for the living. Happy New Year my new friend
ReplyDeleteI can relate to that so much Toni, I am placing the last two years into space....I am not sure where that space is but a balance of space.
ReplyDeleteSo very true. It's hard after all of the time to figure out just where everything is suppose to be at this time. So we struggle trying to find out where and how...but it does eventually fall into place somehow.
ReplyDeleteI too take time to reflect on the year past and while we cannot predict what the future holds for us, looking at the past can give us inspiration that acts as a pointer or a guide into the next year. From there, all we can do then is follow where that inspiration leads with open arms.
ReplyDeleteThis line in particular stands out for me:
"I am not empty but I have the time in life to have much more water to fill within the glass."
Here's hoping your cup runneth over with joy and peace, Jack.
HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL!
ReplyDeleteAli happy New year!!!!
ReplyDeleteHalf empty to me has always meant that we see the negative, but I like how you said, "there is something more that you see within in the glass." Now I can think of the half full glass as one waiting to be refreshed. Nice blog.
ReplyDeleteG'day Jack & friends,
ReplyDelete½ empty suggests to me of things past, so of no interest any longer, ½ full suggests room for new & exciting additions.
And within this new day of this new year half full is where the cup stands and where it goes is only dependant on what we do and how we shape our next 365 days ....
ReplyDeleteIt is said that optimists see the glass 1/2 full and pessimists 1/2 empty but truth seems to be more complicated, doesn't it? So many things CAN happen and so many things DO happen, is it better to have that glass 1/2 empty or 1/2 full? No one knows what the future brings... Take care, Jack.
