Walking within a Postcard
Early within the morning I decided to go for a walk with a friend of mine by the name of Vino.
I thought I would make a post as the weather was about -11c. Vino is a friend of mine which is older he came here from Portugal many years ago. He showed up at the door at 8:30am – and I said why not, I threw on a layer of clothing and so we went.
Again the trails are all along the Meewasin and although there were several as we were walking it occurred to me that we were walking as I put it to Vinnie.
We are “Walking within a Postcard”… Regardless of the crispness of the morning temperatures the view felt as though one was walking within a postcard.
It came to mind while taking in the sights and taking in an early morning landscape view as well as enjoying the simple moment.
Yet within that moment it never stayed still..
It was a magnificent postcard! Thanks for sharing it with us ... and I always enjoy hearing your voice, Jack.
ReplyDeletesnow is beautiful ,untouched by humans..lovely..thankyou.it looks slippery
ReplyDeleteOkay... so I'm a greedy type.
ReplyDeleteNow I want another video of you walking up to the river's edge so we can see the water.
Hi Frani this morning was chilly yet the view was great. Yet a lttle cool to say the least.
ReplyDeleteIt was crisp Caroline. Yet it's a transition but one we got walked half way by that time it was much warmer. On this trail during the winter there are several areas where you can go and sit down and warm up inside. Which was set up by the Meewasin Valley Authority.
ReplyDeleteThank god for that. In the morning it's bundle up sort of time and we havent began to see -30 yet as my grandfather used to say. To live in Saskatchewan - you have to have a good sence of humor or you'll go crazy. :)
I am staying warm!
.
I take that as a challenge Chuck! If there are other's whom can run it....What I had done
ReplyDeleteover the span of seven months. I will take it on but not tonight! :)
Wow; I see snow! And you are right it is a beautiful day! We are dealing with hurricane Sandy on the east coast here. Exactly a year ago we had a blizzard and most of us lost power for 8-10 days. I hope we're not in for a repeat.
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting these links Jack. We're not getting snow, in fact it's still 67 degrees here tonight!! I did blog about Sandy and posted a photo comparison to Irene from last year.
ReplyDeleteI have to drive 17 miles to work in the morning and 4:30 comes too soon. I am going to TRY and turn in early for a change. I'm praying everything is good in the morning and I'll make it without incident. Have a good night...
This is one unbelievable situation Dee. I hope that everything is safe within your parts there.
