Thoughts of Which to Ponder

Not what we have…but rather what we use

Not what we see…but what we choose

These things mar or bless

The sum of human happiness

The things nearby…not the things afar

Not what we seem…rather, that of what we are

These things make or break

Those give the heart its joy or ache

Not what seems fair…but what is true

Not what were dream…but what we do

These things shine like gems

Like stars in fortune’s diadems

Not as we take…but as we give

Not so we pray...but what we live

There are the things that make for peace

Both now and after time shall cease

  2. Hey Mike your welcome. Possession are only just that Mike possessions - yet there are things wish are of more virtue and value. Most often I find that possessions have a time limit where as the "other things" within life are that which has more worth than even a million dollars.

  4. yes the things that makes us happy are not the material wealth althou' it provides lots satisfaction but still there's what we call inner happiness that only a peaceful loving heart can give. It's like stars shinning brightly on their own simpleness
