Dick Clark born in Utica, New York An American Teenager at large they called him. One whom could see opportunity yet was always the same person on television and off. How many of us did look forward to watching one whom brought music into our homes as countless productions. I am not sure if we would have had the Chubby Checkers, Beach Boys, Jackson 5, and many countless others. What I see as the relevance of Dick Clark is that he never took himself too seriously. He did pave the way for many that would include those whom enjoyed American Bandstand - the American Music Awards, a New Years from New York. He lived a full life and may he rest in peace as there are some which are irreplaceable I would tend to believe that Dick Clark is one of them mainly due to his natural manner.

  4. My daughter was just telling me about Dick Clark starting his career in Utica. She goes to school there, and we were just there over the weekend. I was one of those to watch American Bandstand every Saturday. Will miss Dick Clark, and New Years Eve will never be the same. R.I.P Dick.

  5. I believe over the weekend there will be a tribute to him. He was a natural whom I believe never took that much for grantide yet did pave the way for not only 4 generations yet he was a milestone for music without ------------ colors or biases.

  6. Ironic it is Theresa as when I looked up where he was from it took me by surprise that he was from Utica, NY. I myself would watch American Bandstand. In times which we read the news and all the areas which are on so many negatives - here was one which brought enjoyment to our folks, ourselves. What I find amazing is that he was doing right during the inception of the televison. A maverick he was. I believe that he lived a very full life and came in and left in a good manner and abundant life.
