After The Storm

Well last night I knew we were going to get hit with a storm but not the manner of which it did hit. This morning everyone was out shovelling snow and ice. There is nothing more fun than shovelling snow when it seems that just yesterday was not there came in like a lion. Yes there is nothing like shovelling snow and ice and then coming in all wet and jumping in the shower. This is not a stylish time of the year as most often we get the cold but we don't get the wet type of snowy winter.

I must have 10 different parkas as well and seven different boots when this all happens as it certainly did come in like a lion and I do hope that this winter goes out like a lamb. As this "lion" of winter came in fast so much for the neighbor who was blowing away snow last night as what came thereafter was probably two feet within the wind drifts.

The main thing is to keep warm and forget about what your wearing. Yet there will always be some which say, "Well you know it could still warm up". But this one is here to stay and the main things is in dressing up accordingly. Three months from now spring shall return and back to sandals, sneakers and all that goes with it.

The tow truck companies and taxis companies must be happier as this I would imagine is their first big gem of a fiscal day. All due to one nights storm. Lets hope it's one and only one for a while.

  4. I am not a fan of winter. I never seem to feel warm. At night I snuggle under a quilt and cover most of y head with it. Basically y nose sticks out from under my blanket and I surround myself with pillows. I am a hibernate type person.

  5. And here I'm in my sunny rainy days of tropical summer, world fascinates me by its variety. Winter are times of cocoon, we turn for our inside, we can think deeply, the summer takes us to the streets, to the beaches, we just live la vida lôca!
Enjoy your winter, keep warm, keep going, dear Jack.

  9. Getting older Rosie yet it's ironic how some will old folks will still say, "Well you know it still could warm up". I find that older folk deal with this
as they had delt with it for ages....I thought I my dentist would have several cancellations but nope. Not till Tuesday.

  11. I think we all tend to do that Sharon those which are not within that tropical sphere. The trick I find is
getting from one place to another and warming up the car before hand for 20 minutes. Gas is down to 116 per litre.
    So...:)

  13. Marty I don't mind the snow - out east they get much more than I do hear yet the combination of what we get as a drastic cold combined with snow ...well it's not "Life on the Beach". But at 5:00 am I was out there shoveling. There is nothing like that first "kick" of snow. This is why Gene
never comes here or as much during the winter. Shannon does.
