All of those which are on the Eastern coast I do hope that this massive hurricane does not have the impact. My prayers go out to you..

  1. My sister lives in Virginia Beach......batten down the hatches.
I have lived through numerous tornadoes.
But hurricanes are never ending wind and rain.

  2. I have been in slighter hurricanes but nothing like what this is projected to possibly be.

    Yet lets hope.

  3. I live in the middle southern part of Virginia, and I am reluctant to look at the TV...I'd just rather pray and go to bed and hope it loses steam over the night.

Thanks for your concern....and have a good weekend!

  7. I'm with you Jack...we have our friend who has a transport company for horses and is currently picking up three horses in PEI, Nfld. and NS and then to Minnesota to pick up a young horse of ours to bring him out to us in B.C. so I'm concerned for her with her 50 ft. trailer....fingers crossed this tropical storm won't be as severe as they are predicting.

  10. Thanks Jack.... Irene has been hammering on us now for about 18 hours.... she's a slow mover and even though she's not made landfall just yet, she's so wide that many are feeling the impact of her miles away from the eye wall. So yes, by all means, keep the entire east coast of the USA in your thoughts and prayers ...♥

  11. Now that the hurricane is category 1, you will only have to contend with the rain and wind.
The biggest impact will be flooding.
