A bill has been passed by way of both parties. There are no tax increases, while there has been an agreement from both Republicans and Democrats. But I shall partake in this in the very same manner as you do. It was a day of raising the uphill climb with the United States debt. There are varied mixes of points of views. Many economists as well as people within the USA as those from other countries have felt the ripple effects. From many economists seeing this as a temporary economic band aid - to that of others feeling that either one or both parties have arrived at a decision which was not of the likes of what has been seen before. Yet a decision has been made. Hence this is my question of the Day as of July 2nd, 2011. If you have a minute I would certainly appreciate your participation. Yet it's that of your own choice. As well, I would appreciate it if this can be done within a mature manner not that of the likes of what we have seen as an example within the GOP and then some.
So here is my Question of Today's as of Tuesday July 2nd, 2011.
They did what they had to do, but I don't really think anyone is happy or or relieved.
ReplyDeleteI thank you JC.
ReplyDeleteyour welcome fine sir :)
ReplyDeleteI am going to go on with my writing but now and then I have done this.
ReplyDeleteSo I am going to carry on with my blogging and shall come back to this
as some shall partake and some may not but I thought I would and I am
going to go about reading and writing. I would hope this is not a case
of desention within the blogosphere. As it's just as simple as it reads.
suffering anywhere is suffering everywhere---we are not responsible only for our self but for each other---for as anger wanes in the face of tolerance and humanity so too will fear wane.............................
ReplyDeleteAs Putin said today (in other words) the American economy affects the whole world.
ReplyDeleteWill have to wait until I get to my PC - poll doesn't show on the iPhone.
ReplyDeletesi as I just logged on and was just thinking to myelf....within words.
ReplyDeleteRodney with all honesty I have never been a large fan of the leader of Russia.
ReplyDeleteNo worries Grammy...
ReplyDeleteI keep popping in to see how the poll is going. I find it interesting.
ReplyDeleteI kid you not I don't dare touch it as the last time I did it showed the results and I wish to write.
ReplyDeleteAs I have spent much time with regards to this ( as funny as that seems but honestly).
If the USA had defaulted on its debt, the whole world would have paid the price however the solution reached is only a temporary band-aid.
ReplyDeleteWhat the USA needs now more than ever is a way in which to increase revenue. It defies logic that the wealthiest sector of the USA pay the least taxes. While the GOP is fond of citing "desperate times need desperate measures"... they conveniently exclude increasing the taxes on those who can afford to contribute the most. The entire burden of the failed economy is being paid for by those who can least afford it, while those who contributed to the Global Financial Crisis in the first place (i.e. Wall Street) refuse to contribute toward helping clean up the mess.
Who wins? The wealthy and those who kowtow to their demands.
The same people who are crying cut money to the poor and don't raise taxes for the rich and business are the same people who are screaming Obama hasn't created new jobs, while their companies are the ones sending all the manufacturing and industry jobs out of the country.
ReplyDeleteNeither have I but what he said rings with truth.
ReplyDeleteA very excellent point.
ReplyDeleteWith respect Rodney, I would surmise that even Chavez and the likes would right
ReplyDeletenow be ringing the same truths. Yet, it's easier to point truths while within their own
lands it rings in a very different manner for their own people of their own lands. Yet I
do know what you mean.
Mila, it is a temporary band aide. But here within Canada within the 80's there was a second tax which was
ReplyDeleteput into place. It was called the GST - Government Service Tax. It fixed the situation within Canada yet many
Canadians never wished to pay it at the time. Within this situation, which many economists feel that this is
just as you have called it a "band aide". While most all economist of no party have indicated that although
there has only been monies placed in to gain temporary financial leverage. Would the average American
be willing to have an introduction of a moderate increase in taxes? That was one of the primary concerns
from both sides as if they wished to begin a clean up within. It was talked about of having a rise in taxes.
America does not have very high taxes, and even if there was an incremental increase in taxes with some
body which would oversee where the monies were going every quarter that might very well be a means and
way. But it was not politically correct especially at a time where either side does not wish to blow the
chance with the upcoming next election. Within this there is a means and way IF politics are placed aside
and something of the nature of the GST could bring it back. This was more politically inclined than economically.
I believe that with accountability of a structure which unfortunately does introduce some sort of taxation with good
representation economically the economy shall slowly come back. Just think of a time in which America comes
to have a surplus. It's not something which is that far off within economics - but many never knew how quickly and
by how much monies were being borrowed. It's not the peoples fault, but what I have found is that good economies
come not in the manner of which are always wished for and I am not a no it all but I would surmise this right now
is just a temporary measure where with no doubts it's a time for the right yet hard decisions to be made. As it can't
continue any longer. Just like an athlete, it's a time where there is some pain to obtain gains. What I believe is that
either side has abused the system not once but over the last ten years. So if there was an incremental tax put in place
and knowing full well the average american has been through all too much. If the parties where within the private sector
both sides would be fired for years this commodity of money was not handled well - that's a no brainer.
Right now I don't think there are any winners, but I do believe that good government equals good representation and
I will say that I believe that the only winners within this have been this group of Tea Partiers which came in and cause
more propogand than doing any service.
This is lengthy and my apologies but America CAN make a comeback economically. I would dare to say that the
previous presidents are shaking their heads right now. But again within my own opinion I believe that good government
will come back and the House Leader along with the rest came out of this today knowing full well that politics are
now placed aside. I default to mention as a CYA to mention that I was born in America as I don't wish to come
across as a Canadian giving Canadian economics which work in Canada to United States. But again I do believe that
something like the GST may very well be the best op - yet not looked well upon by the average American.
Sharon it is a repeat of what took place - so this is the third try. I don't think Obama is the root of this ECONOMIC problem.
ReplyDeleteI don't think there has been any leader which has had to handle as much as he has. He did make promises and I believe
he has tried the best with all given. He did live up to some of his promises but I maintained that whomever came into office
had more at hand than any other President. Have you noticed how many Europeans have remained silent throughout this?
There is a reason for that Sharon as they have a hypothisis with what has happened since the last election. There are things
of which this man has done as well attempted to do, secondly Hillary a very sound one as well as Condalisa Rice and many
more have watched a leader try. Economically he didnt make any decisions without thinking it out as well he has had areas
which he has made a few gains as well not to mention no one gave the man credit in getting Bin Laden (Yet). But this goes
far beyond just a president Sharon. I don't believe he will run this next term. But again I think that time will show that
he has tried and there are areas in which he did make gains. So todays date, the leader of the House who knows full well
that he might as well throw in the back with the next election.
I forecast that regardless of who is within office they could not have done any better in what they were walking into upon
becoming the President. I can appreciate what your saying with new jobs. Yet he was not privy till one day before he took
the oath to become President. Now think about learning of all that you would have at hand in a briefing one day before becoming
President. What would you have done differently - you have to ask yourself that question.
I don't wish to mention what the mainstream in Europe feel with regards to President Obama and the American mainstream society.
But I shall say that most feel that some things have not changed unfortunately.
Not sure if your familiar with Bill Gates but...he is not dumb.
ReplyDeleteMy position went to Poland. Others in our company went to India, Argentina and China. The reasoning was that it was an international firm that needed a presence in countries they served -- not that money was saved on salaries and benefits. Had the US government imposed taxes on those firms that sent jobs overseas, or out-sourced overseas, it would create an incentive to hire at home. Before this economic crisis is over, look for programs similar to those in the 1930's, just to put people to work. This is far from over.
ReplyDeleteI have been expecting that since Obama took office. I have been surprised that it did not happen.
ReplyDeleteNet yet, but we're not finished.
ReplyDeleteI have heard the words New Deal and Economic Recovery Act. I see the signs on road construction for the Recovery Act. But here's the balances and how I feel if you are not part of the solution - YOU ARE THE PROBLEM. Part of the cuts with the new budget deal cuts Job Corps funding. This was a great gateway to kids in poverty to get training and experience while performing a needed service. It brings a song to mind that came out 2 years ago by John Rich - Shutting Detroit Down. I think it should become the anthem for American workers. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gyz-DbYuRp4&feature=player_embedded
ReplyDeletePerhaps I should have never placed this poll on for some reason I believe it generates much anger and this not need be.
ReplyDeletePerhaps not anger, simply a since of frustration, and lack of hope regarding the political future.
ReplyDeleteI do believe so Grammy. I have been frustrated with it as well. But one from Nicaragua would never understand this yet I believe
ReplyDeletethat it's within the concepts of America. And those whom have lived there but I moved within another direction as I know
that anger can provoke many things and even the frustration. I would not know what it feels like right now. But the
best I can do is surmise from my experience and life in America.
I'm frustrated with the whole thing. I don't see how anyone is benefiting from an economic downslide. the whole economic middle class is in jeopardy. America is the land of opportunity and that doesn't mean just for the rich, it means an opportunity for you in whichever class you are born into. I see this being severely affected and hope that I am wrongly mistaken.
ReplyDeleteFor a week there I was really keeping up on it all but as mentioned before I do believe that America will rebound. I think there is and was too much sensationalism with all this and what I see coming out of all this Cinn is an improved America. In history past during the most trying times in history of the USA came some of the greatest innovations. The world is different now, but call me an idealist at large.
ReplyDeleteI have to hope that you are right. thank you for being positive jack. its easy to get caught up in all the media and sensationalism. We have to keep it in perspective and hope for the best.....and of course doing our part in making the future brighter. thank you :)
ReplyDeleteSome do enjoy it, yet I wish to write just a mere blog. And look how fast time flies but as mentioned ~ strive and be alive ~.
ReplyDeleteThere are time to tune out of all the negatives and focus on the positives.
