These Are The Times

I through in this old CD in my car today as I have always been a fan of INXS and some of the songs. Although they were on the up and up during there times, within the lyrics they did have something that had a statement other than just the strangest party - I liked the term of " These Are the Times". Seemingly while driving it was a retro song but yet a song that was enjoyable as it was fitting with the term of these are the times..

"The Strangest Party (These Are The Times)"

Welcome to the strangest party baby
It's like were staring at the sun
Everybody's got their invitations
Hoping that your gonna come, yeah

These are the times
These are the crimes
What are we waiting for
What are we hating for

Your part of the solution
Or part of the problem
Your gonna have to dance with one
Your giving up on the future honey
I'll count you out of having some
Yeah, some

These are the times (times)
These are the crimes (crimes)
What are we waiting for
What are we hating for

Here comes the rain
Yeah, here comes the rain yeah

These are the times
These are the crimes
What are we waiting for
What are we hating for

These are the time (times)
These are the crimes (crimes)
What are we waiting for (what are we)
What are we hating for (waiting for)

Wash away the pain
Into the blue sea, yeah

These are the times (times)
These are the crimes (crimes)
What are we waiting for (what are we)
What are we hating for (waiting for)

Wash away the rain
Into the blue sea, yeah

These are the times
These are the times

  9. Thanks for the lyrics, Jack. I can't always understand when I listen! I'm thinking of an oldie, maybe around the time I was born? I'll see if I can find it.

  12. Hutch of INXS often got together with Bono. Unfortunately Sig, he passed on some time ago but he was thought of as being the next Jim Morrision.
I saw them two times and I have always loved there music. With this one, I found that the lyrics were not entirely concise as it was pop from that era
but there are songs that literally were wrote within this band that really do have merits lyrically. You might be thinking of there debut song - "The One Thing"
but I thought I would place it on.

Music does make the world go around, I have seen it happen.

  13. This was an era of it's own Sig......I know it well only due to my older brother and I came to really enjoy some of these bands and artists of the 60s, 70's, 80's and 90's...George he was the silent Beatle - yet ironically one of the most provocative.

  15. Darby, they were a band that hailed from Australia. They still exist and as well they have a new singer now whom comes from Canada. Within the "times" of INXS or more so within the time in which they were famous in so many lands - the likes of Bono, Sting and many others - Hutch was just within a time in which after one internationally famed album came to be unfortunately Hutch whom is the singer passed away. Within Australia there has always been a regard by way of his parents and family members to keep his lyrics alive. There are some other songs in which were made by the entire band. And they were not country they were well within being a band within there own manner. As well, they toured and still do. Yet within there height of fame often the lead singer Michael Hutchence along with the Ferris Brothers literally made some of the most thought provoking songs. Some where pop and some that yet to be unveiled really do render some thoughts as they were a melodic band that brought several things into play.

  16. This is so lame as what happened within Arizona today....as I just arrived in. Two shot for what? Within this "Right to Bear Arms"? - those are not the ways of a renewal of what we believe in. It's a reciprocation effect....to kill with the right to bare arm is not my way nor do I believe in it. Sad news this was.
