There is always something that one renders. It's may be of a variety of things but the one thing is staying true to what one believes in. One can amend things to make it to the accord of another but the so within all the moods and the characteristics that we all are. So there are some that are are struggling and then there are some that are just doing as they please. I like to just do it within my own manner and way. Original?
I think that this very word of being original is few and far between. To be honest one tends to stand by the side of another and what they think and rather that thinking on there very own it's a tendency of a repeat. But I enjoy it where those whom can write within a manner that is of there own and need not be a copy and past as these are the time in which we can do so and we might very well find the justice of whom and where we are as it's so mundane to read those that just keep on repeating the same old thing.
Yet there are those that are creative within their own manner and you know what? They seemingly pop up now and then rather than always just being the same. Original is not a sin it's something that might be abundant when it's taken into consideration as there are some that do do it - when their very own manner and way.
It might out to be the way or are we all living in accordance with what one says and then because we dont have anything more. We tend to work on the threads of themes and thought of others...
Just a thought
So what is common is kinda like "what goes on in your day".
ReplyDeleteWhat I would say personally goes on within my day is a commonality to connect on various levels in the world around us. It may be a generational link between youth an the middle age. Or middle age an the elderly. It may be a common form of music or writing to connect between cultures. It may be a commonality as simple or complex as relating between male an female genders. I suppose with all of this being said there are various commonalities that connect us by varying degrees an levels. I might be rambling lol. Commonality. Yes. Many far an in between or close together. Either way there is a thread of linkage.
ReplyDeleteWhich is all truly great and within your own realm.. Cinn. It's all good and here too the same but each of us does it within our own manner.
ReplyDeleteWithin the words is where we always were and have been discovered.
I'm not a fan of the copy an paste. I think it can have its place when integrating learning about people from various questions. But it takes out originality. Why not ask your own questions brought forth from those questions? Just some thought on it lol
ReplyDeleteI believe that many original an creative thoughts are put on the back burner in lou of conformity. Is it really a commonality that one would pursue or an originality? Could we perhaps entertwine the two to produce intriguing works of art that make a stance for the next decade?
ReplyDeleteI would tend to think so for a small portion of whom is on and when they are on. I myself just write as you.
ReplyDeleteAh you caught me in the middle of critical contrast writing. I believe as long as one is writing, that is the main thing. It is wonderful to see the various writes an talents portrayed.
ReplyDeleteI honestly wouldn't know how to put my thoughts in other people's words. Cin, would that be originality by nature and not by choice? Then, in originality, commonality is reached by those who think the way that we do, and express themselves in their own words.
ReplyDeleteThe only time I use cut and paste is to confirm a source I've referred to, most often in politics, and I use it very sparingly.
I worry about the next generation thinking outside the box. I worry with cut an paste that plagiarism will be more prevalent. Then again I worry an think too much lol.
ReplyDeleteOriginal works are by choice. However many times there's a price for expressing ourselves when takin out of context from what has been deemed appropriate or acceptable. There are many ways to express ourselves an we all have to find our own way to share our collective experiences. It is what writing is truly about, having an deeper understanding an learning from each other.
Do you make a distinction between original "works," ( such as essays, creative writing etc.), and creative thought~that which is spontaneous as in comments?
ReplyDeleteTaking things out of context is what's so often being done on many issues, and I see this as manipulation to deliberately misconstrue what one opposes.
To mind my manners, it's nice to meet you, Cin.
Yes a definite deliberation there lol. It's nice to meet u 2.
ReplyDeleteI can see the video now Jack. Thanks for spurring the interesting convo, as always. have a good eve.
Just when I think I have an original thought or question, I find out that there's nothing new under the sun. I've just packaged it differently. I guess that's where my originality comes in.
ReplyDeleteWell, i kinda' love repearting my own words than copy the works of others. But as always, it is within the realms of what my heart wants me to write and put into words. And the words just keep coming in spontaneously Jack. No efforts at all.
ReplyDeleteNice thoughts there
ReplyDeleteI don't like to write about the same thing day after day. That's whats good about this photo blog some of us are doing, we have a subject to think about. I do need to get more creative with that though. Sometimes I wish I had gone to college to study writing so I could have a more interesting vocabulary.
ReplyDeleteGood blog Jack.
ReplyDeleteI am an original writer. I like to be myself and write from my heart.
ReplyDeletealthough we are biologically "herd" animals---within the herd we bring our own individuality-----we are all important to the herd but it is our individual thoughts that are necessary to the herd------individual thought is meant to evolve---the wheel ---the wagon----the train----si?
ReplyDeleteI think original is just going out and doing that which is what interests you and putting your own feelings into whatever you choose to present.
ReplyDeleteThoughtful blog Jack.
I do know what you mean Cinn. Originality seems to be a biggy for me. I am not much for the copy and paste, I would rather write as I have done within the past. (I was off last night as I went out to do some camera shopping with this good friend of mine).
ReplyDeleteSig are we talking about pictures or otherwise? To be original is what I think that Cinn is meaning Sig and I think that to each there own there are some that will see something of worth and fun and as well many will reference what they are writing on after they have read it. I just do as I please with pleasure. Sometimes it's merely a word and then sometimes it's a picture and yes sometimes it's what is going on within my day or it's something that I just find and desire to bite into and write on.
ReplyDeleteOne of my good friends that works as a professor here went through with me upon my arrival back here and indicated howe they can find if the write is plagiarized and - it's certainly a different time than when I went to university and had to sit and read and read over the books and oh man we would stay up sometimes in what is knows as the "stacks" and when all was said and down - we were to bed - and then came the weekend of cutting loose and well that is another story :)
ReplyDeleteYour literally homing in on something - man Sig you are smart.
ReplyDeleteSig meet Cinn - Cinn meet Sig. :)
I was off last night Cinn as I had a full day and it came to be just too cold as we went down here to -35, so I just changed and took in a movie after taking to a friend that resides here. Althought I am sticking to this regime of training
ReplyDeleteI must say that I find that when I take 1000 units of Vitamin D, man I will have a thrombosis like situation and well I know it's time to just click and head off.
Susan, I tend to take time and look over all that I wrote and then with that I know I don't wish to repeat and it's not easy to be original but the areas that we capture are ones that are truly what one finds interesting. I think to be original is forgetting to be as geat as anyone else but to just be ones own self and for myself this is not that time of the year that I can honestly say is all that great. It's fair and nothing much more but the shares are great although I have a goal I am working on, and as well I am doing something offline which is original.
ReplyDelete"You all have to be individuals" as said in the Holy Grail, by the Monty Python bunch! :)
Nancy I do love to write, I literally do. I don't think one needs to go to college to be a great writer - hey your are looking at one that never was a great writer and still isnt. As well there are some great groups out there that do some marvels with creative writing.
ReplyDeleteThank you Gary...and good to see ya again. :)
ReplyDeleteThat you are Sharon - you really write as you please and oh it's hard to read as your fonts are so small and yet what you write is -------------- above many heads mine included and if ya change your fonts you will find that it's easier to see what you have pasted as for me I literally have the hardest time and I used to use just Ariel style on this template.
ReplyDeleteAside of that I see someone that writes on things that are well over the heads of some yet your you within your own style. As we all are.
Si, one cow does not moo like the other :)
ReplyDelete~smiling and got ya~
I know what you mean Doug. I remember within one class there was this story of becoming original and for the most part it came to copying. I used to copy and copy which I was a kid, when I studied for a test my way of studing for it was in taking all the areas of question and finding the right books and yeah this might not be the most fun way, but I copied what was wrote within the book - as it was the answer and ironically I came to know the infomation inside out.
ReplyDelete`Meanwhile there was this university buddy of mine named John Hopkins, and man this guy never had to study. He would recall all that was mentioned within the class and he would do a skim over the night before, while many of us were up all night - and John came out of that class within the 90's. `
Yet when you talked to John back then there really was not much he had to say. Most thought he was just a silent type but he was calm and just taking things in.
These were my thoughts last night as was cold as heck here Doug and the furnase here is an older one and it would be nice to have triple pane windows. Cold is very original in the manner is which we feel. Thus we render our blogs I think Doug.
My ponder is has blogging come to be more of a Tweet - than a blog. Yeah.
ReplyDeleteI have a 'thing' with words, Jack, and I think it's a good thing because it often helps me to explain myself better in order to be understood, and hopefully, to understand others.
ReplyDeleteCommon is an interesting word with many nuances of meaning.
I have here my personal definitions:
Implying wide appeal and use. Common applies to many or a large part; a common belief is one widely shared.
Referring to something possessed or used by two or more people or in two or more situations. A common language; a common interest.
Referring to something present in great quantities or something frequently met with. Common, something that by its very frequency becomes usual or ordinary.
[Here's the one that I believe applies to your meaning]:
Used to describe things that happen in the everyday course of events or are accepted by most people as normal and natural.
Perhaps some day I'll write something about what goes on in my day, and about my thoughts. I've never done that. I might enjoy it.
It seems to me that as comments progressed, the contribution evolved at its best, and many things were expressed. I don't know anything about the photo blog, so, my comments were only about originality in writing, and I understood Cin very well.
ReplyDeleteYou really did, because I've got no idea what you mean! ):~({
ReplyDeleteIf that's an analogy, which it appears to be, I'm the guy who refers to no snowflake being alike, because everything, absolutely everything is unique.
??
Or was this a comment to me?
I don't know a danged thing about a "Tweet." How is it different than a blog?
ReplyDeleteNew picture and Nice. Maritess there are some of my past writings that I will write now and then - the one I love the most since the inception was one I wrote in conjuction with another writer - which was about "Seperation and Division" and then probably (smiling here) one from way back on Winnie the Pooh.
ReplyDeleteNor to I all I know is there are some news sites that I will be looking at and there is a tweet going on which is not apart of blogging Sig, it just comes on with the news and all that is going on. But the closest I came to a tweet was when I was a young kid watching Bugs Bunny.
ReplyDeleteLove Winnie the Pooh' Jack. it's my car sun-visor . smiles*
ReplyDeleteI'll look for that - 'Separation and Division'
thanks you like the new pic, Jack. :)
Your welcome...off the the shower I go!
ReplyDeleteI love original but we are creatures of following each other, aren't we. I don't consider myself as someone who stands out yet when you get to know me her, or in realtime life, I am much of an individual. I believe all of us have our individuality and it is fun to discover it in someone:)
ReplyDeleteWe are human beings that do have a heard mentality yet we do have our own individuality I find Mel. It's hard to say that there will be a time in which we ever shall meet but at the same time there are those areas in which we find within discovery - as you said not I. Hence within the lives we all thrive. And it's certainly one of enjoyment, fun and it's all within the colours of the rainbow as I see it. Mind you I have not seen a rainbow within this winter but I found a few rainbows regardless of the weather.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean. Rainbows and things of love are all around us. In any weather!
ReplyDeleteI am kind of smiling here as they are there is more within the story of the Rainbow as it's really about no dissension of where you come from. Hence it's a state of being.
ReplyDeleteI like this song. It makes you think!
