I recount the times in which I had a tremendous friend on here she was a best of friend to me. It goes back into time but within the listening and within the talks how we would come together and listen. I myself had done earlier my ancestors and seemingly within so many there was comparatives. What is Australian what something that I only could understand as the base of one very distant relative as well as this one very good friend named Denise. What makes up an Australian to me from knowing those that I came to know online and within life where a fluid flows.
When talking to many people I came to find that Australians were much like Canadians yet they had that accent – or shall I say they had a different manner of speaking but yet there is something about Australians that it’s all within there manner. It’s something that just is. For myself – the music that came from Australia was something that I really took too from the inception of INXS that within there very first tour before they came to be a huge band. Me and my friends while attending a small concert and then there after were able to see them in person. To me they seemed semi English and semi Canadian. Ironic as it may seem and as well within my travels within Canada - I have met more Australians and in some manner for some reason we all do co relate.
There is much more to Australians – regardless of what has happened of recent. I myself have always felt that there was a certain bond as to know one that was a relative and then to read and as well watch some it certainly gave way to a greater understanding. How so often I have tagged my pictures within the past with some sort of phrase, as seemingly there was a flow and thought that came by way of hearing and talking with Aussies. And for some reason perhaps it’s that commodity of their culture I do feel that there is something tremendous within Australia and that sun does never stop shining, as it shall never disappear.
Australians shine as you do. As the Beatles said, "You say yes, and I say no" for myself I see how within Australia it's within a small term of, "You know whot?
So despite all and the things that have happened of recent to Australia - she shall never fall.
ReplyDeleteWonderful write for a beautiful country :)
ReplyDeleteHey Cinn, I got back and it really is.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to see Australia it has a beauty all of it's own. Some sunshine would feel marvelous right now. Here gray skies and winter there it is now summer
ReplyDeleteHey Cheryl, it would be and I have taken some time out with this as I do think it's a great country, it's one that there are relations over there that ironically on my old computer I have saved and how do we define it. I am not sure but I certainly find it to be a grand country and although there are some things that have recently have taken place the culture is that of an upbeat manner. For me I associated music with this and "shine like it does" and so forth, it's something that seemingly is common to me. Perhaps not for all but for myself yes. Yesterday early within the morning I had spoke to one person whom is from there and well Australia just is. As over on this side of the pond we often don't really get the jest of what Australia is and there is a large history there and it's full of decent people.
ReplyDeleteI have a friend who lives there now who actually was born and lived in the United States, quite a change perhaps but she loves it. She sends me a lot of pictures
ReplyDeleteI am sure the movie is dramatized and another time but I enjoyed watching Australia a couple years ago. It was Set in northern Australia before World War II
You've got a very beautiful posted photo up there, Jack. A very fitting tribute to a very nice country
ReplyDeleteI hope to visit the great Australia some day.
ReplyDeleteI could relate and thus I did :)
ReplyDeleteMarvelous country Linda from what I have seen - but I have never been there.
ReplyDeleteyou are so kind to speak so highly Jack and I for one have known many friends from your part of town too who like yourself are some of the best people I have ever meet and do hold with kind regard.
ReplyDeleteI am an Aussie and am very proud of my country. It has its good and bad things in it, about it and not all the people are nice..but this is found in every country..the good and the bad. I actually find that there is something "different" about most of the Commonwealth countries....most of the people are not about self but about keeping an eye on someone else..I have no idea why..but it seems that way much of the time..from the genuine Aussies. Australia has changed a great deal...politics from other countries, violent ways from other countries, and hatred etc have been brought here from other countries....some from other countries leave their own country for a better life..yet they bring some of the worst from their countries over here with them in their behaviours. On the other hand many bring the best from their countries and come here and share it with us and take on the Aussie ways..and that is beautiful to see. But the real true blue Aussie will not only "give a hand" when they help you..but they will try to give you their arms and legs too lol. I have travelled briefly to quite a few countries..and I have see the pride, the beauty, the love and kindness of people in these countries..I often think they should come to Australia, because they would make "bonza" Aussie cobbers for us all lol. Like I said..there is good and horrible in every country...thank you for your kind words......
ReplyDeleteHi AJ,
ReplyDeleteKudos to you as I believe that the government there has declared the celebration not to be one day but for a week - yet I could be wrong. I get what you mean with regards to the manner of commonwealth countries. I myself have never been able to place a finger on what a "real" Canadian is and I think that the same stand for Australia - maybe this is a good thing. Note this is not a comparative to any other country which is so often presumed but I find that Australia is a society of people that has a mix and most of all is very multi cultural in the same manner that Canada is. While living twice in Edmonton, Alberta Canada I never had met so many Aussies - but I had and some that it was just a click and you could talk and talk - mind you there was always a different accent which I found rather cool. The real real true blue Aussie is much the same within the manner of over here. There is good and bad within each and every society however I shall repeat myself - I had a very large group which several moderators and it was during a time in which blogs where just - just merely starting and I had this one dear friend - her thoughts - the manner that when she got on and did an audio read or even when we would all sit down and discuss themes there was I found Denise to be truly humble yet witty and there is English wit and then there is Australian wit and it's truly nice.
As mentioned I have relatives down there or over there :) - and they are distant yet it's a land that I do wish to see within my lifetime. While I was stationed two years ago in Edmonton International Airport I never came to know so many from Australia and for some reason within that provinces it was great. You just threw something my way with regards to Commonwealth countries as you might have a very interesting point but all in all.
Peace and Happy Birthday !
a nice view of what australia is for you..
ReplyDeleteThanks oh you have to love doing wash!!!
ReplyDeleteAustralia is a fascinating country, for sure.
ReplyDeleteFaye I thought of it as it reminded me of a few friends as well as relatives and right now it's a country that has always done very well globally and as it's having a terrible situation with these floods - the combination of those two things where what I was thinking of and I hope and am sure that it shall surpass this situation and go on to be the country that it is.
