The Wonders of Winter

It all depends on the weather. Recently here we have had we have had very warmer temperatures as of this evening it's snowing like I have never seen it happen here before. Last year we seemed to be hit with a harsh climate but this is sort of the same but the temperatures give way to much snow. I never minded the snow, it was that bitter cold that came to happen. But again no one can predict it.

Yesterday I had two very solid check ups all in all and it's all going very well. So within the eve here there is one cleaning off their car but really by the morning the was there any effort in doing so? But it all is apart of what happens here within this season. Some are within areas that have never seen the weather as such and then there are some that have lived there entire lives within a four season climate.

It's funny online and offline in a way as up here you will hear everything about the weather. Funny in a good way. Yet each and every year you always have these sayings with the weather within every areas around the world that has a few months of winter. I think you know what I mean some go like this:

"Well, I don't know, it's very nasty out there did you hear what tomorrow will bring"

"I remember when I used to have to walk ten miles to just to get to school everyday, you youngin's never had to go through all that"

"I don't mind the snow it's just that cold"

The list goes on as most often when there is a storm that is happening it usually brings out all types of forecasters - I myself just look at what is predicted and get on with my day. Here one can't control what nature brings but one just thrives within there scopes upon where they reside.

Mind you I don't mind palm trees...

  3. I enjoy walking in snow. In our family the historical walk to school included crossing a bridge. :-)

    Glad you are doing well.

  4. We had certainly did last night and as mentioned Mel it's not typical for this part of Canada. The last time I felt this cold it was in January where I went to this ice building display at night as well as a photographers meet up and it was cold however not much snow. Right now the temperature is 22 F. That is nice as at this time of the year this part of Canada usually is -15 F.

  5. Am doing well DJ. However I thought I some of those recollections that the elder us - for that matter we use. I am doing good and I went through a thorough testing within two hospitals and I have come to love walking as well. As far as the winter I look at all these situations concerning the weather of recent and I smile from here. As it's a very cold climate DJ, much like Saskatoon is on the nearly the same longitude and latitude as Siberia...

So if Russia can dig up and find mastodons in this weather near Siberia - then we certainly can even way over here and over there :)

  6. lol i would love to be where the palm trees are right now! it's been cold and super windy here for a solid month! jack keeps whining every day that he's scared of a tornado. i don't mind snow if it is just a few inches. last year we had over 80 inches....way too much for me! :)

  8. We can't do anything about the weather so might as well just be happy with what we get.

  9. Nothing we can do about it, so should just sit back and take it all in. Though I do like your idea Jack about the palm trees.

  10. Our temps are coming and going, but a big change from the last several years is the amount of snow we have already. It's great! Usually I get excited about anticipating forthcoming storms, but then the forecast is wrong, and the weather peters out. I just go with the flow now, it is what it is. St. Paul, MN has a winter carnival every January, and about every 4 years they build an ice castle. The last one we saw was in 2004. Pretty neat, aren't they?! A palm tree studded beach would suit me any time, I love the ocean! I spent two years as a child living in Key West, Florida, so palm trees and ocean breezes bring good memories.

I'm glad your check-ups went well, and that you are a good road to recovery!

  12. I love Palms Theresa, the very last time I saw them was in the southern portion of this Continent and the first was as a kid during Christmas time and I walked up this hill and there was this huge palm and arrive at the top - there was a acqua blue ocean in Florida.

  13. I Fay I have not been on here much as have been busy within these past evenings - but.....we got nailed with not as much snow as the east but very warm temperatures combined with snow - now this is right within the middle of Canada and that is all too often not the case. We have these all over and the most famous one is in Quebec city - Carnival. Yet I have never seen it before in my life.
What I love is that early morning sunrise of the snow - regards of the temperature. And then the real oceanic places - who could not beat that. One never digs oneself out to drive a car within ocean climates :)

All went well with medical matters and I just find that I have not had enough time to be on here at night. Thank you Faye.

  14. Kimmy your son hit on something that old folk say so much up here lol - " Well maybe it's cold but at least we don't have all those tornados " - it make me laugh as it's such a older generation saying up here.
