Multiply as a Social Network

I have continued with my jogging and as well I am on Face book for a very good reason. The reason was after I came out of this situation medically. I wished to bring about some communication with those that do know me from real life. Not just online life. Within Multiply I have as all of us made some changes with those that are either gone or not apparent.

I have always loved writing within here and to I have made may choices accordingly. Everyone does. So I don't have much to share as far as with pictures at the moment but I do wish to continue what I have done thus far. There are some that are very different within here as there is that think in which the don't know ya. Where as I feel that within FB with real life family and friends there is and I am slowly grooming it up as there is a manner from which to blog in FB.

But Multiply has some very symbolic things to me. Ironically how we saw friends then from the transfer of Y360 today is so very different. Not for all, I will leave this as be as I placed my visa away along time ago and work on my savings. As most of you know right now I am not working, I am working within my own health concerns.

So I had made a few requests and friends really do come out when you have known them within this platform for years and yet they still look the other way. I have learned that the only one.

Are we all fooling ourselves with stating we are friends as we are actually just a social network? That is a ponder, as of today's date here on multiply. It does make one ponder on the real meaning of this as is it really just a forum? Or is it a Social Network?

I still do have my ponders but I do have materials in here of my own that span throughout years. I don't wish to loose it all, but if I do so be it.  Outside of all this it's been a good day here. So that is the way it goes on this Friday at 5pm. So if I loose all then so be it. Yet I do wish to continue with this and I guess even during this time of althought it's the season - what do you deem as a freind? I know whom I do.

Note, I am on my laptop so the spelling might not be precise.

  1. I enjoy those friends that I have and some are of recent on here but I do respect them and enjoyed this very much so. But still I never did add one person without the idea of great exchanges mind you things do change.

This is a great writing form and in the midst of my recovery, I have had missed this with Multiply and I am not hoax nor fictional character. So the best way I have come accustom to is in dealing within matters in my own manner - with Multiply as well as with friends and whom I literally look and find the common grounds with. Yet why are so many leaving Multiply these days I ponder. However without pictures I shall always continue to write but I will not do anything on here aside of what is called "Friends" or "Friends of Friends".

  10. We shall wait and see. I took off some people as most of them are either gone to other networks.
So there is real life and there is online life by way of a blog. I like the tie in now that I can do with some writes here and into FB.
But I love writing within this much more.

  15. I love to write on here and as well the reading as do you but I do have array of places I have been by way of when we changed from Y360 to Multiply so I didnt know this till recent so what I hope is that Yahoo does Multiply does accept my offer. As I don't wish to loose my entire blog with past videos of my own from all over and so on ....so I wait as well.

  16. I enjoy Multiply, it is a creative outlet for me, a way to share what I've seen, done, learned. Blogging is like the independent study class I took in Creative Writing in highschool, I'm challenged to write my posts in an interesting and engaging manner; not exaggerated but real.
The friends I have received here I hope to stay with for a long time. They are people with common interests, yet are all different in many ways, and that's what makes the world turn round. There is so much we can learn from our friends. I can get pretty set in my ways, but a friend here, or in my local community, can open my eyes up to a new way of looking at something. That doesn't mean I'll always agree with their point of view or philosophy, but I can see it as part of their life and respect that. I like connecting with folks from around the world, and seeing the world through their eyes and culture.

  17. The best thing you can do is what you are already doing; communicate. Tell them where you're at, what's going on, what your goal is, and hopefully they'll be willing to listen and accommodate you.

  18. If I am to understand you right, it seems as if you are not quite happy with the way things are going over here? I like this place a lot. I have made quite a few friends from here, true some are just acquaintances as you don't really get into deep conversations with everyone, it is probably impossible to do so. I like coming to my friends pages and reading what they may have to say, not everything has to be funny or deep or even practical. It all is just what it is. I myself don't make any certain rules as to what I am to blog about, I guess whatever happens to fancy me at the moment and yes there are times when I need to vent out my frustrations! I think that is what brings you closer to each other, when you get real. Otherwise how will you really know someone on here? Some of my contact/friends don't post much of anything at all and hardly come around, but I haven't deleted them. Maybe I should? I don't know. What I do know though is that I will frequent people's pages more, when I see that they are visiting me as well. Otherwise it does seem to be kind of one sided. Not every blog requires a comment though either, sometimes people just come to read and that's that. Hopefully you stick around Jack, I do like coming here and seeing what you have to say and I like looking at your pictures. I guess this place is what you would like it to be, I know that I am happy about my experience here at Mulitply. Take it easy!

  20. Ok, I went to reading the comments below and I see that you are worried about your payment to Multiply, don't worry Jack they won't erase your photos and such my account lapsed a week or two and everything was still here after they got their payment!

  21. This is good to know - as we shall see how it goes....as I missed the lapse nothing more Sue.

  22. I find 'networking' here on Multiply to be quite fulfilling. I've known some of my contacts for many years. And the newer ones are quite cool. On my roughest days I've received comfort, on my silliest days I've benefited from shared sillies. It's all good, from where I stand (or type).

  23. I have met a lot of friends on yahoo. I consider several of them real friends because I have traveled to meet them in person, most of them where they live. I have stayed overnight in their homes, eaten meals with them, cried and laughed with them, met their families, hugged them, type to them on messenger every day and call them on the phone sometimes. They are real friends. Some of my friends on here I have known for several years and would go to meet them if they didn't live so dang far away.

  24. I do as well, I am so used to sitting behind my desk and I literally enjoy this ability to write while just taking in the eve. I find this and always have found it very cool Mel.

  25. Hi, Jack... I have made some solid friendships on Multiply. Granted not all are who they say they are, but it is that way in what I call 3D, as well. I think both Multiply and B are social networks, but I find Multiply more suitable (for me, anyway) for writing and other creative outlets.

  26. Nancy, this is where I am finding that within FB, I have do know many of the friends there and it's all to neat as it's something in which I know them and I do enjoy that and then within here it's been writing along with people that I have never met within my life. Except one that is not often on here and lives in Orlando now. So it's neat, I never thought I would find FB so interesting but I like both for different reasons. So it's really all good.

  27. Mulitply is much better as a writing platform without a doubt Jo.

  28. Facebook is more of a superficial forum....you don't always get to know a person in an indepth way, unless those you've added to your friend's lists are basically personal friends and mostly relatives. The only people who I've included on my Facebook friend's list who are NOT family or really personal friends are those who I have gotten to know on a more personal level here, at Multiply...and there are those who have become more "personal" friends here, as well. You CAN post your Mulitply blog entries on facebook, though...and FaceBook also has a "Note" option, which is an area where you can write much longer communications...it's rather blog-like. I don't think, security wise, ANY of these sights are 100% safe and secure, but FB tends to have more security problems than most!

  29. Souse do you realize that there is two people in here that do a cross over and blog on here as well as Facebook? And I am not placing Multiply down as of today I am getting it as I worked things out and within an hour I shall be calling out east to do so.

As will anything all things need the appropriate settings - FB announced they will be doing their largest security facelife since the wikileaks...facts dear.

  30. LOL...Facebook has been saying that they'll "fix" their security problems for years now, and it still seems to be a thorn in their side. I think that we all just have to be careful about what we choose to share and what we decide to NOT share.

  31. There are measures that we do, mind you one has to make sure that they dont slip and fall on the ice as well :).
