Yeah there is no adds! bouncing around the screen and you have a huge storage capacity in media locker, I use it all the time, for storing photos and video.
hope your doing good Jack, have a fantastic weekend
Back at ya...I found that I don't have the time to process the 20.00 dollars by way of paypal....as I didn't know this was the case and I am about to loose this.
I need a gift. As by the time I from Canada this goes through, it's too late as I didnt pay attention to the date. Needs and wants I guess.
Salaam Jack. As you know I'm in Iran and the American and western financial services are not available to us, otherwise I could do that instead of you. I hope the friends who have access to the services do that. We don't want you to loose your content you've stored here Jack. If there is any other way which is possible to do from Iran, I will help you.
I have regular, and find that I don't really even see the ads anymore. They aren't in my face like when I first started, and ads that corresponded with the blog content were on the right hand side of my page all the time. I hope you don't lose a bunch of stuff if you switch!
Jack, I have premium at this time, and the only difference that I can see is the lack of ads on the right side of the page with a premium account. True, the ads can be a bit annoying if you allow them to be...I've decided that I DO have the capacity to ignore the ads and not allow them to bother me...so, I have actually decided to go back to regular once my premium expires at the end of January...With the exception of the photos I post for blog purposes, and my album, I don't store anything else....I'm not here that often compared to other computer usage, and although $20 isn't a lot, I could use that money for art supplies or glass. I'd rather use that money in one of my other budgets.
What about the specific contents? Are there some features which are unavailable on free accounts? If so, by changing the premium account to free account, those specific contents will be lost. Aren't they?

Jack you will lose video storage and picture storage. Some things may be gone for good if you do not have it backed up somewhere else before you renew. I think for a regular membership storage is only a few months. I pay the $20 a year for the offisite picture back up. When my hard drive died I didn't have to worry I had the picures stored here and downloaded the ones I wanted back to my new hard drive. Plus to be honest, this is a service we use and in order to keep it in operation I figure $20 a month is a cheap price for the service hey provide. If everyone took the free route they would have to either become more obnoxious with advertising etc or they would go out of business.
Since I have been a premium member for so long I have no idea how annoying the ads might be.
i have the regular one and so far it's held all the media i've uploaded to it. I guess i use flickr for that stuff more and just plug in the html. But my personal videos are all uploaded straight to multiply. There are no more ads down the side of mine, just one ad, usually 3rd post down in my inbox. Not really a distraction if you're used to it.
you won't lose your blogs. Just the pictures in them. You will have a box with an x in them eventually. Also any high def or quality pictures will become x's afer while. Links will still be there if you link to flicker. I'm not sure how anyone who is no premium keeps videos after 3 months of storage. I guess that is a fluke, don't rely on them coninuing to be there. Data retention and storage are some of the benefits of premium.
Yes I have attended to things on my own early this morning with Flickr although I hope this blog does not go down or the data and rention is what is of most importance as on the 13th I just found that this was the case so lets see what was promised is till a promise. On my laptop and I have many things here within Premium that go beyond. So it's all really in the hands of not friends * it's in the hands of these two companies as I have contacted for the 3rd time. So what shall be shall be Sharon.
I like the "no ads" feature. Not only do I NEVER see ads on my page or on my contacts' pages, but my contacts will not see ads when visiting my page. Other than that, for me, there is no additional advantage as I do not use the Media Locker for storing my pictures. However, it's better to pay the annual $20 cost up-front. They have been charging my Visa $2.95 per month which averages out to $35.40 annually I just now figured this out! lol I'm going to email them and ask why they have been over-charging me. I don't mind $20, but $35 is a rip-off!
yeah it's 20 dollars Maryanne and I missed it as I was all to busy with things. So with a few thins morning I did ask with the intention to send long term online friends a return of the moneys as by way of paypal here in Canada it takes too long and I have place my visa away till I am back within my work. So by way of Canadian banking one can't do this it has to be done by way of a longer process...but I am not about to go out and ask those I know if I can do this and return the small amount yet I learned what friends are. Enough said on this, please.

I have the premium. No add bar. More storage. I had the free for the first year. At $20 a year, it's a value.
ReplyDeleteI have a regular account and it works fine for what I do with it. Have never had premium so can't compare it.
