I was up earlier that what one would wish to be this morning. Seemingly I after just two weeks it's not easy stopping a medication such as a painkiller that I have been taking so I met with my dentist and I have to have some more work done next week then I can tapper down this. I don't know what happened with my these teeth however I have two root canals left to be done. So I look forward to just getting it all done. Thereafter doing a slow taper down and off this stuff. I guess there may be a difference between taking something for good medical reasons and then taking something just for the sake of taking. This computer has been completed now formatted and all and I am glad this is done as it's not something that one really enjoys to do. I am not sure about you but I have always serviced my own computers since I can remember.
Outside of that I have been meaning to do two writings which each and everyday it's been rather busy. So my hopes are that I do get them done before the weekend. As of today the weather has been great for this time of year I don't have any pictures of recent but it's really been a time where we are getting very nice unexpected weather.
I guess this is my first post and the other day I was asked why I don't write more about my own personal life. I think we do but when it's appropriate. There are two writes I do hope to write about between now and Sunday. One is on Post Traumatic Syndrome and the other is about the history of Thanksgiving. As this weekend is a long weekend here in Canada. It shall be an enjoyable weekend as it's my father's birthday as well it might be a quiet Thanksgiving pending how everything is within my family but if the weather stays like this I do look forward to doing a few things this weekend.
Happy Birthday to your Father and best wishes on the dental work. Soon you'll be past that and feeling much better . Got to get to sleep here soon.
ReplyDeleteThanks Cheryl and this is working! Yes :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving to you Jack and Happy Birthday to your Dad. Looking forward to your blogs.
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving to you and a very Happy Birthday to your Dad. Hopefully all of that pain will be gone and the dental work will be completed. Then you can look back and close the chapter on the root canals.
ReplyDeleteWell it's not till this Monday and as well thanks with regards to my father - the man just keeps ticking and I think much of it's all within his mindset which is a good thing. Thanks Gina.
ReplyDeleteBill, you have a great and very witty blog. Thanks for the wishes oh the pain is over with right now but due to Tylenol's however it's all good but I brushed all the time and I think I will erase the memories lol of the root canals.
ReplyDeleteThanks much there Bill as I formatted this entire system and put everything back on and well it's not like back within the days of Windows 95 or 98!
then i wish for you a thanksgiving of good memories and conversation---time to reflect and time to anticipate-----as for the teeth----my stitches are dissolving and some are just falling out---it is rather unpleasant-----as is the salt water rinse---- but for me i am done for now and for that i am grateful.........take your time and heal amigo-------
ReplyDeleteWell I talked to this friend of mine that went to residence with me within my first year and he has all his upper teeth replaced with a permanent denture. Too cool and that nice technology but he is a pharmacist in Alberta. So thus far I am healing but I have two root canals to go so I think I will just eat all the dressing :)
ReplyDeleteThank you much in Canada Thanksgiving is much the same as America's thanks giving - the reason why Canada celebrates it earlier is due to the pilgrims and the harvest coming to a closure and being finished.
Boy that is a banter :)
I hope the pain lessens and you heal soon. Hugs
ReplyDeleteSharon next week all on Wednesday I have the first root canal and then hopefully the other is the next day. Then after that I am home free. This is a good way to trim down if someone needs to but......
ReplyDeleteAs far as this medication, I can see now that it will be a one or two week process of adjusting off it. Little did I know, but then again it's quality of life I guess during a time where my teeth are ready to fall out of my mouth :). I brush but I have never flossed...
toth pain is the worst. Years ago I had jaw surgery and couldn't eat for 4 weeks. My jaw was actually unhinged and removed, reshaped and put back together. It was an event I don't recommend anyone do! At the same time I had a lot of jaw and ear pain before the surgery and afterward and it healed the pain was finally gone. It was just a bad trade for a few weeks
ReplyDeleteThank god this is not a surgery but...
ReplyDeleteI am kinda in touch with this right now. Literally I have not ate hard food in a week and I kid you not I have an ear plug for the left ear right now so this aint pretty. But when it's over and done......I will go and watch the fat lady sing as well eat a couple course with her! :).
Today for the first time since the beginning of July I ate a steak sandwich. I was so hungry and could only eat half of it...but it was so good to eat food without feeling sick! There is hope. The light at the end of the tunnel is a great meal
ReplyDeleteHope all goes well with the dentist, Honey ~ I don't like taking painkillers unless I absolutely have to. And a very happy birthday to your Dad, and I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend! *hugs*

ReplyDeleteFood vs soups :(
ReplyDeleteThank you and I have never been on a painkiller before in my life but I am doing it as directed this is Tylenol 3, It kind of just zapps the life out of you if you ask me. I thank you much with regards to thanksgiving, I have this feeling it shall be a little different this year but that is fine with me.
Oh this is Tina....hey thanks! I hate it when avatars change...Thanks there Tina darlin.
Goodness its been quite a tough few months for you then ~smile~ .... I sincerely hope that once these teeth are sorted that this is it for you!

Oh Yes! The dentist the place we all dread of going too. I myself have to find a dentist that will take my medical insurance. I was going to Western Dental until they told me that they no longer will take Medical. Or that medical will no longer be covering most dentist treatments. I wish you best of wishes on the upcoming dental work you will have done nest week. Its sad to me that if your over the age of 21 that if you have medical you know have to pay for your services. For example I was going to get new glasses at my last eye dr visit until I was told that Medical no longer covers for new pair of glasses. Actually the truth is the eye dr told me that the prescription didn't change all that much and if I wanted to get new glasses I could. So I was going to that day until the dropped a bomb on me and told me that I now have to pay for new glasses because I'm over 21. The eye dr's office told me that prices for new glasses can start from anywhere between $70 to 80$ and go up. So I'm going to try and get a new pair before my trip to IL in November with my brother and his finace to visit my grandmother on my dad's side of the family. The eye dr's office told me anytime I am ready to get some new glasses to come in. So most likely within the next week or two i will being so. Well Jack I wish you the best of luck on the upcoming dental work you'll be having next week. Good luck! Gary
ReplyDeleteDentistry is my main fear , I hate them , hoping that you will be getting some respite from all of your treatment from those pain killers that you are taking.Have a nice long weekend and happy birthday to your dear father from me , take care now love Rosiex
ReplyDeletemonths - yeah. They say things come in threes...... :) I do as these early morning wake ups is not my cup of tea...
ReplyDeleteThanks Lynne.
Oh I look forward to it Gary - that is getting the rest of this done, so as we have a holiday here an long weekend I never thought I would be watching things including inner ear balance and all but this shall pas. All my medical and dental are paid for my friend. I never knew that this was the underlying problem nor did my doctor till they started looking around. Well between now and next wednesday, my intention Gary is to do everything to keep my mind of it - which is taking out the camera and as well I have to find something unique for my father whom is a retired gen and civilian air force diplomate which was hit with cancer and when I see him I count my blessings as everything is within ones mindset.
ReplyDeleteLock jaw is a greater fear ! I kid you not. Now I formatted this computer and you would think I remembered where I place some pictures!
ReplyDeleteThanks Rose! :)
Our Thanksgiving is in November. Wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving! Happy Birthday to your dad!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to your dad, and a very happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!! Do you usually have turkey with all the trimmings?! We always have a large family get-to-gether, and we all bring a special dish. Needless to say, we feast! I especially love this time of the year and the holiday celebrations! *big smile*
