Went in and there is nothing like the feeling of gauze in your mouth. As mentioned, I have had two teeth extracted. According to him five more to go with cavities. Now I just had my teeth done not so long ago and I think I am going to get a second opinion when it comes to the rest of the teeth. For now I have to just keep to watch and not allow any clots to occur. Now I am one that brushes morning and night, and this is not fun as one can't talk and there is a tad of pain that goes along with this and between the teeth and the legs man as of today things have to start going within the right manner. Things were just looking on the up and up and then one thing after another. I will be glad to have these teeth all brought back to what they were, as I never missed an appointment.
If I have one word to all - take good care of your teeth and if there is the slightest thing that is bothering you don't leave it go if it's there for more than a week, and you do have coverage. Teeth are something that we don't realize how much they can effect us till we have situation with them...
This has to be a better month. Then this last one to say the least - finger crossed.
ReplyDeleteSending you a hug , keep your mouth away from drafts , My remady for the mouth is warm salty water , this kills germs if you have just had extractions, going to eat now , stay warm and relax tonight , love Rosiex
ReplyDeleteYeah I am indoors I just got home a while ago and yep I instructions......yep...
Hug! Take it easy and what ever you do follow the directions about no straws. I have never felt so much pain as when I had dry socket when my wisedom teeth were taken out. It was horrible!
ReplyDelete~smile~ .... Oh boy do I sympathize with you .... I have a horrible fear of dentists and only go when absolutely necessary. I do agree though ... we do take our teeth for granted ... and one should maintain regular check ups.
ReplyDeleteSIncerely hope it all heals soon and that this new month see's a regular climb to the top again for you.
As rosiefielding above mentioned .... salt water (warm) is an incredible anticeptic and soothes strangely enough. ~huggs~
Yeah I know, I had a dry socket four years ago been there and know what that one is like. Mind who likes the dentist anyhow...
ReplyDeleteThe big thing here Lynne is in getting into one there is almost not enought dentist per capita within the city. I am not complaining just wish to occupy myself with something and well this will be rebult and yep I have an entire bad on all that it to be done...
ReplyDeleteMe wants some food - good food :)
bad period friend, take care, the sun will shine again on your life
ReplyDeleteWishing you all better Jack, believe me I know what you are going through. Hope all the transitions go as smooth as possible for you. :-)
ReplyDeleteAh as of this month Nico things shall change .....a person has a choice so they shall.
ReplyDeleteOh Dawn it's just a double wammy these last two months and man this has to get better lol....
ReplyDeleteOhhh painful, stay warm and cosy this evening and yeah warm salt water works a treat.
ReplyDeletehuge hugs ;-))
Wow! As the saying goes, "it never rains, but it pours," or something like that! So sorry for all that you have been going through this month, Jack. I believe that, if in doubt, one should always get a second opinion. This is your mouth, your health. In my opinion, do not have any further extractions until you are sure that this is the right direction. Are you certain that the five teeth that you mentioned cannot be saved by having them crowned? Feel better, my dear friend! Hugs
ReplyDeleteThanks Karen....it's not the way to start off the month lol with guaze stuck within your mouth and it's so tremendous outside....but better late than never.
ReplyDeleteWell this is the last of it all and yeah I had called and called but all were booked up here but I will give this one one more try, I did have a great dentist here but he is now retired. The five teeth - three were cavities and these other two done today were absyssed so, there are no more futher extractions as the two that were side be side were done today.
ReplyDeleteOh well...
So sorry Jack...Get lots of rest hopefully you have some good meds to take...
ReplyDeleteBored out of my skull, yeah I do but I would rather be on a boat :)
ReplyDeleteHint...:)
Aren't you glad all that is behind you now! You've given me a gentle needed push to make an appointment for myself. Thanks Jack!
ReplyDeleteOh I am glad this is done, everyone doesnt enjoy the dentist Frani, except Dentist themselves :).
ReplyDeleteA most happy 1st of October to you as I can see that many have been leaving my blog and blocking me...so being it, change...it happens.
I too would be getting a second opinion before getting more teeth pulled. Praying for better days ahead!
ReplyDeleteno more are going to be pulled Dawn, I just have some 3 cavities...
ReplyDeleteThank goodness no more are gonna be pulled.. :-) That's a good thing.
ReplyDeleteI avoid the dentist like the plague! I hope it wasn't all too painful for you Jack. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteoh .feel better soon!![hugs]]
ReplyDeleteNobody like the going to the dentist but it certainly beats the alternative of suffering and being in pain. Hope you feel better soon Jack!
ReplyDeleteGary
I know how it was to be in that room Jack, you were right ... that isn't fun at all! But for me it is, in my younger years ... when I walked out and left the room when I say those stainless insturments. Its a good thing father was there, and the lady dentist was under him that time. If not i don't know ...
ReplyDeletetight hugs and and take liquids only for at least 6 hours and don't gurgle anything, the gums from where your teeth extracted should settled first. :)
ReplyDeleteYa.....after reading a bit and watching the tele while enjoying a great glass of..........................................salt water :).
whaat .......................... silly gentleman!!! kiddo' ... good morning! :)
ReplyDeleteMichelle there was no avoidance here, man in Quebec I had one dentist tell me it was an ear infection ------------------------ big duh, I just had all my teeth done five months ago.........another glass of salt water.......I don't wish to see them but usually on an every six months I will have them checked over.
ReplyDeleteGary thanks shall in sometime however unless I went into the emergency I literally had a good days wait and then finally there was two that had an opening.......so it's called how to loose a little weight within a while on a water and soft food diet.
ReplyDeleteI never took to eating much on the left side only you do have to turn your head to the side if you can picture that ..... :) You have to laugh about it but as well some dentists are cool and they talk to you well this one I had never seen before within my life and I had to do hand signals for just a little more anesthetic and some dentist will leave you for just a ten minutes to see all is well.
When I left the dental office I asked, the one dental assistant with a frozen mouth - How looong hath dis Dentish been in practice?
Feeling good Gary and as mentioned just had my small cool soup with a bit of bread and there after rinced with that great salt water! I can tell you this it's not like diet pepsi! :)
ReplyDeleteFor you it is ok :) Kudos to you Maritess.
i had oral surgery on monday---i am stitched ----and stitched some more----so i understand how you are feeling-----take care of yourself and watch out for that dry socket----enjoy your soup and ice cream------
ReplyDeleteyep had a soup and have been living on salt water....:)
ReplyDeleteMmmmm,, Yummy saltwater. he he.. You are going to have an ocean of saltwater in you.. awwwww.. Great that you had soup, that is always good for the soul.. :-)
ReplyDeleteA few years ago I had gotten so tired of tooth aches that I had all my upper teeth pulled and now have dentures. They arent to bad all things considered. But I also havent had a toothache since that time. Hang in there....I know where your coming from
ReplyDeleteMichael just got in as my best friend that is a pharmacist in another province did exactly as you did - I couldn’t believe it but his upper gums were what they call permanent dentures - I had never heard of it before but he said it was like day and night.
ReplyDeleteIt's always been indicated to me that my upper teeth are all very tight.... so it's something to look at within the future. However this one bottom right extract has come along well, mind you I have lived on water but as I just arrived home after going to the bank as well as getting a few things from the nearby grocery store.... One more day of Tylenols and then it's a slow taper down for four days. Last night was the first time headaches which tells me this was the reason so it's good to not have an ear ache, back of head headache (truly a first).... and tomorrow
