I was visiting the docks of near Dorval, within the early morning every day within the late spring and summer there are droves of older gents that just cast. It's truly apart of the Quebec culture fishing that is. I literally took this picture without his knowing, and I thought of that old song by called, "Gone Fishin". I literally had a taxi take me around parts for three hours to obtain some of these shots.
I think the bite of poisson would have woke him up aside of that he was there at 7am in the morning just a fishin...
Carol very small truly my hand would have covered the windows you see on here, I wish I would have had the grounds keeper stand next to it. As she is within here and was wearing an oriental fashioned hat as that was the beginning of a very hot humid day.
I can only imagine what fun and what it would be like to see such beautiful things and to capture so much beauty.. You have done a spectacular album here, but I would not expect less of course, because I enjoy all of you work,, but sincerely so many touching photos here, I don't know where to begin to comment.. ,, I have been told I am a woman of many words,, so bear with me,, lol.. :-)
Smiles, I love black and white photography and in time I will share more of my very own photos,, I'm sometimes like a mother hen with my photos and keep them safe somehow at the same time I want to share them, as some of the pictures I take are a part of me.. But anyways back to this photo,, I love the simplicity and what it speaks.. :-)
I do love this statue, it would be one that I would want to return to many different times of day due to the "light" and also I wonder how it looks with snow around it.. Smiles..
ohhhh my , it reminds me of the Topeka Capital Building here that they are working on refacing and restoring.. Wow.. wow.. Love the color of the domes, they must be made of copper or some material as such for the rich "patina".. I see the lil statue holding the cross, I want to see it up close and personal too.. Such beautiful architecture.... I be there is so much here rich with history....
Standing with so detail , my eyes would be lost in the intricate details.. There seems to be a young girl or woman figure on the far left of picture that is on part of the molding at the top of the pillar,, I would love to be in the balcony and capture her,, Statuary and Architecture is so much fun to capture.. I always want to capture it such that I want to let the sculpture or statue speak....
Oh my!!!! Oh my , oh my, ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh MY!!!... Would you look at that color, and,,, and.. The beauty of her,, the angel holding the flower garland... It is if I am standing there.. Thanks Jack for sharing these things in which you see that I may never see... I bet they use real gold in the paint around the scroll work on the pillars,, wow... By the way I love angels,, I'm not obsessed and have them all around the house, but I have a very small, not so significant looking pieces, but the ones I do have speak to me... I have one that looks "free form" with her free form arms up to her heart as if guarding it and from that dangles a little chain and at the end of the chain is a crystal heart, the other one I have looks to be wooden with wire wings and she is holding a seashell up to her ear and the third one I have is one wooden too with wire wings, that is holding a heart up close to her cheek... Oh wait I have one more I forgot ,, she is all white and she has a bird in her hand and she appears as if she would be swaying her dress with a slight dance.....
I love this,, I do like the color red and wow what a punch of red that is against the striking white.. I love how the bars are like spokes of a wheel...
Another fun one I would love to capture with different lights and well,, I just love the way it speaks,, The little girl really speaks to me holding the book...
I love churches........I think I have taken more than 1,000 pictures of the insides of churches, as the architecture is spectacular and the historical value.
