A Question within Your Time? Have you ever experienced a miracle? Do you think they're possible?

  1. Yes I think they are possible. But not personally.

  2. No and no I don't. I think they are a fantasy created to give people hope. Like Santa, the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy they make great stories but miracles don't happen, people struggle to provide their own.

  3. Something is happening tonight and shall see what come about for tomorrow. I as well think they are possible. I will elaborate on this one on or before Sunday as tonight at 1am my time something neat is happening on this world of ours.

  4. Meaning you don't believe in but most things are a consequence of man kinds own making. Are they not miracles within there own manner? Just a thought Sharon.

  5. If a person creates them, then they are not miracles. A miracle would be something beyond the ability for a human or nature to perform. This would be like saying man going to the moon was a miracle and it was created through science and technology. Toasters would have once be thought of as a miracle because electricity is used to brown bread. I think the term miracle was used to explain something that at the time no one knew the explanation. Birth is considered a miracle and it is just biology and the sequence of life to recreate.

  6. If you mean the birth of my daughters, then I've experienced 4 beautiful miracles.

  7. Bill yeah...it's what we deem as being a miracle I see.

  8. I'm just more of a realist. I fit is something man can create then it is a creation not a miracle. I did not consider my daughters birth to be a miracle. It is a commonplace circle of life.

Our ancestors looked to the skies at night and stood in awe at the moon and in the morning they looked to the rising sun. Each day when it rose and set it was a miracle to them. Why? Because they did not understand the planets. Do you think it is a miracle when you turn the key to start your car? To a secluded tribe it would be a miracle. I'm not sure if I am making sense, but once a person understands the mechanics behind somethign happening it is no longer a miracle, it is explained

  9. I think they are possible, very much so.... Miracles do exist. I think everyday when I look outside and see our world, nature, mother earth, our bodies, and all the living things. Our planet and other the other planets, everything moving in perfect mathematical order... Life is a Miracle. Some may agree to disagree and that is fine and some may say I am but just a dreamer.. Smiles,, Oh but I'm not the only one..<(Thank you Lennon) :-P I believe we are miracles.. Gifted are we to have life and to have the opportunity and capabilities to do so many wonderful things.. I could go on, but I won't, The miracle is in your heart, mind, body and spirit... Do you believe in Miracles my friend? Hugs Jack, it is good to see you, sorry to hear about your pain and not being well.. Sending you my best wishes always. :-) Keep Care.

  12. Miracle-Description of miracle - American Heritage Dictionary
NOUN: 1. An event that appears inexplicable by the laws of nature and so is held to be supernatural in origin or an act of God:

Yes everyday I am alive. Who can really explain how the earth and all in it came to be, that it runs on such a accurate timetable. Mathematically the odds of all it happening the way it has are impossible. The biological world, is rife with evidence of extreme intelligent design. Just about everything is set and balanced so precisely that even slight changes could render the universe lifeless. The likelihood of mere chance being the cause behind the universe and life to the odds of winning the lottery trillion times in a row: Before you collect your third winnings, you will be on your way to jail for having rigged the results.

I think the word “miracle” has the secondary meaning of “an extremely outstanding or unusual event, thing, or accomplishment. Like a birth as mentioned.
I'm seen some amazing things -not sure if I defind them as miracles but I do believe in them.

Those who believe in miracles are convinced that they occur and perhaps even occur often. For example, it is reported that in Greece during the last few years, believers have claimed that miracles take place about once a month. Similar appearances like of the Virgin Mary are said to have taken place in Lourdes, France, in 1858, and in Fátima, Portugal, in 1917. Many say it continues on

Some like to believe in them with no foundation to those beliefs just because they like the thought of it

But I wonder how many would really believe a miracle -really and not doubt it at all- even if they saw it?

    Interesting question

  13. I personally believe miracles happen are all around us. I also believe a miracle has do with on how you look at life and faith. For example if you believe Jesus was raised from the day not only is that a miracle but the faith within yourself. So to me a miracle is having faith in something or someone.

  14. LOL If it then starts, sometimes I am awfully thankful. :-))

  15. I guess it depends on your definition of "miracle".

    I agree with hadenough1.

I had an experience where there was no other explanation--late at night on a curve and there was no way my car had enough room, but it passed. I can only thank the angels who must have intervened.

  16. I do.And it do happened. And the greatest one is ~ when virgin Mary concieved by the power of the Holy Spirit, and the Great son is what we addressed today as Jesus Christ. But then again, it depends on someone's religion or faith.
Second, the what we called night and day. The Sun, the Moon, the stars. they were there, placed ... to give lights when its night time only to bid goodbye when dawn is coming to give way to the Sun. If that precision isn't miracle ... i don't know how are we going to addressed that.
The third one~ when I was still in grade one. My brother was the one incharged of ringing of the bells in our church every 6:00pm. And for three days my brother forgot to do his assinged duty. On the fourth, the bells in our Parish ring in successived unison together with the other one. And everyone in the province went out of their houses that time to see if anyone was up the there including the barangay. But they saw no one. And that succesion cannot do by man. So for me that is miracle. And lastly, this maybe a bit personal and one may laugh :) ... but finding your greatest love is already a miracle by itself ... that we should be thankful for everyday of our lives. And another in Hongkong. If that was just an illusions, then I don't know again how would I called it :)

  26. Yes, miracles are possible. My family experienced one through a little 6 year old girl. She had Cancer, couldn't walk or talk. She's now CANCER FREE, and going to school like any other 6 year old child. Here's her story should you want to read about it.

  27. Yes, I do believe in miracles. Surviving a kidnapping while having a gun held to your head is a miracle. It's true, it happened to me, and three people went to prison for a very long time.

  30. I think we all look at miracles or situations that are challenging in different manners and Cath I thought of this last night right after I
read this story regarding Brother André...it just captured the thought as it was a reflex I thought I would throw out there.

  31. A wise man told me that when I was a kid that he was not sure if he believed in miracles but he believed in good will. I will have to write on this from my own experience a good one that is.

  33. I had within another page - that is my feelings on miracles........yet I myself have never seen one happen to myself but the point that I made within my other write thereafter was with regards to what miracles are. Perhaps we do create our own miracles by way of our very own karma and destination with determination placed in?

  36. Will keep him in my prayers, Jack. Miracles do happen, but one has to believe, and have lots of faith. I also believe the stronger your religion, the more ape you'll believe in miracles. Have a good weekend!

  37. It's something to come back to as I dressed accordingly and headed out to get a sunrise picture. We all
do have our own very precious beliefs and that is something I think worthy and to be valued Darbie.
