Something went wrong here within my imports of this morning, they are very simplistic and are right around an areas around the river. What is known as the Meewasin Valley Authority governs all that takes place on the river, there can be no commericalization. The river divides and is the center of the city. There are five bridges the one that I obtain within here that is closed is under deliberation by way of the city as it's the oldest bridge from the 1800's and to modernized it takes one of four different plans the lowest costing the city 35 million and the highest costing 70 million.
So the leave are falling however there still is something nice with regards to this city the fastest growing city in all of Canada mainly due to the university as well as the amount of research that is done here combined with Potash, Oil, Natural Gas, Diamond Mines and all. So I do hope to get some more pictures within here as this was the first time in a while in really heading out with the intention to obtain an array.

ReplyDelete3,000 miles due west of Quebec this is the longest (not largest) river within all of Canada. It's called the North Saskatchewan River.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful trail here Jack...very old world.
ReplyDeletePerfect place for a walk.
ReplyDeleteLooks like the city has done a lot to maintain an open access waterfront.
ReplyDeleteYessss, I love this... It speaks a lot..
ReplyDeleteOooo~~Bridges are so cool.. Great shot!!

ReplyDeleteLovely place for a walk, I miss hiking the hills in California... so flat where I live here.. lol.
ReplyDeleteDoug they placed in 25 million on preventative maintenance two years ago. It came back to haunt them as the people wish for this bridge to be maintained as it's the oldest within all five and goes back to the 1800's so it looks like the city is going to be coughing up some $ 70,000.000.00 million. with this particular bridge.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful walking area, seems so protected by the stone walls.. :-)
ReplyDeleteI think I see a little graffiti on a few of the rocks in the wall.. lol.. of a girl and a boy? maybe it was done with lipstick from a womans purse.. hmmm.. possibly two lovers... awwwwww
ReplyDeleteThis bridge has been closed for a month while the city decides what to do.
ReplyDeleteWithin two months lets see the contrast :) I never really noticed Dawn. But this is the very precious time of the year as this is the third coldest province within the months of December and January....
ReplyDeleteI shall take a few of these and get exactly the same shot and lets see the contrast... :).
YAY!! Can't wait to see, I love visiting the same places over and over again capturing in different lights and different times of the year, the seasons. I look forward to more.. :-)

ReplyDeleteThis is my favorite as I found that it came to be not as easy to just walk so I didnt cover all the territory I wished but this seemed to resonate some concept.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like my running path this morning.
ReplyDeleteA great place to stop and rest, chat with a friend and enjoy the Autumn view.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like home to me. The Saskatch could be a twin of the Grand River here.
ReplyDeleteWho is this Jack? I have a guess or two, but am not up on the explorers and guides for your area.
ReplyDeleteAnother....can you name him for us? I like this shot.
ReplyDeleteIt's truly a very progressive city. Literally the main thing here Juliana is in maintaining the cities identity. That is a rather tough thing when the city is literally building and the population is increasing at levels that are par few on this hemisphere - I really am not kidding you as you probably have never heard of the word Saskatoon ten years ago.
ReplyDeleteMind you some wish not to hear of other nations - then some embrace it as they gain from it.
That is a patriotic word within Canada as there is patriotism here but within another form compared to
America and other countries.
I literally love the world and countries but I am very fortunate to be living here within Canada.
ReplyDeleteI have to go back, I thought it was this one aboriginal but not the case so I am unsure of or as there was two men within the statue it could have very well represented the western frontier.
Trying to figure out which western city these were taken at.
ReplyDeleteHint the fastest growing city in Canada and is often compared to being like your own.
ReplyDeleteMy first guess was Edmonton was I right?
ReplyDeleteLived there but nope..:)
ReplyDeleteLethbridge? Am I in the right Province? Regina?
ReplyDeleteSaskatoon....
ReplyDeleteAh I was close. I figured with the autumn leaves that it wasn't the coast.
ReplyDeleteSaskatoon has always been called the mini Calgary....:)
I know a lot of Calgarians bought homes there as a investment a few years ago. It does have the river like we do lol. Well glad it wasn't Edmonton because then we would hockey enemies.
