I was up early and had a great rest as well I have a cousin that resides out of town and he came in today. I arrived home and took my "horse pills" as I am supposed to but the next thing I am fast asleep. That never happens to me and so I met with my cousin and he had only one hour as he had to get back to his city. He is some twenty years older than me but we had a great talk with regards to many things.
Trevor I never really knew till later on within life and this was the fist time that I saw him in I would say three years and he is doing well. He sells insurance and well all in all it was good the talk as he has a wealth of experience. He had three inheritances that came his way and literally back within the 70's he literally went all over the world many times over. Thereafter he decided to be a baptist minister and married a fine lady and inherited three children - well they are all grown up now but it was a good talk and then I decided to just lay back and watch some television and before you know it again I was off to sleep. Now there are power naps, naps however I have never fallen asleep like this and one actually feels like it's the morning already. However within the morning I did go for a walk and the weather was nice, and I did a few things around here but didn't push it. What a change from yesterday as I was glued on this thing and well I think you know what I mean. So the weather here ironically has been rather nice as of today and I do thank you to those that I have already visited there pages. So a basic day but a good one. I haven't even read the paper today but so be it.
I think we could very well have an indian summer here I could be wrong but really what will be will just be.
The photo and quote are really nice. Glad you had a nice visit with a good friend . (Cousin) I like Autumn. I'm pretty sore from learning my job and the work from the last week..I need to find some good stretching exercises or yoga
ReplyDeleteoh i would so love to travel the world. my grandmother did and had so many stories to share. not only that but she was a great story teller anyway. :) wonderful you were able to share good times catching up with your cousin. i'm thinking we will have an indian summer here too! the last hurricane blew in some nice cooler weather, but it's back up to 90's F!!! Too hot for September.

Well today was much different than yesterday that is for sure but in a good way. And it was good to see him as it's been a long time since we had....I was up at 6am and I literally am enjoying the simple walks and when I get home I will stretch.
ReplyDeleteGotta love getting with friends.....Fam and friends is what it's all about.....Glad you had a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteThe nap is the horse pills. Don't worry it isn't you. Taking them are like clubbing yourself over the head.
ReplyDeleteIt would Kim it literally would. He was one that literally went all over the world mind you he had three inheritances at a very young age. Trev, talks more of what all is going on within the family, he is my father's newphew and that was most of our talk as he wasnt sure how things were going but seemingly they are doing well. Well your indian summer is much warmer than here!
ReplyDeleteBy the way I have to look at that color page as I am just trying to catch up here. As I shall, looking at the time :)
Rule of thumb, never wake up early and then take a nap! :)
Geo, I literally fell asleep but as well wish to get to your page and yeah it's good to meet up with family members, he lives within this small town called Yorkton. So the day was good but I am not one to take extended naps but so be it.
ReplyDeleteI didnt realize that T3's do this but yeah they do or did today Sharon!
ReplyDeleteI slept through a giant fire near my house. I didn't know an office building burned down with fire engines parked in front of the house. Didn't notice.
ReplyDeleteLiterally I have always been a six hour sleeper..each person is different Sharon.
ReplyDeleteI love Indian Summers and hope we do!
ReplyDeleteHey Jack I am glad that you had a good chat with your friend today. Friends are certainly an inspiration to have around. Always they are.
ReplyDeleteJust stepped out and here comes a storm ahh so be it.
ReplyDeleteGlad that happened there Gary as when you opened your blog, I thought it might be of good value...
ReplyDeleteI am a Baptist and a part time Catholic ... it's how i put it in, Jack.
ReplyDeleteTaking time out to be with relatives specially if you are friends with them is always a happy one! :)
Faith to me is faith, I was raised a Catholic, but I really feel that they all are interconnected. I think we all believe in something and that is something that I have had privi to with several people and several areas of faith. My cousin was a Baptist minister - not kidding and then he does it on the side but we never talk about our faiths as we have that respect that we just had a great talk on other things.
ReplyDeleteWhich does not mean we disregard each other actually it's more of a respect if you will.
You put it nicely, and that should always prevail ... respect to ones faith
ReplyDeleteNice to have a chat with a cousin/friend, and a nice, long nap! Hugs, Cath

ReplyDeleteI know DJ, no worries but within your write I found that it was most interesting. I mean that so I am just occupying my time...
ReplyDeleteWe have had a dramatic change in temps here, Jack. From the 90's to low 70's just in a matter of a few days! The summer flew by much too fast this year, or so it seems. Maybe because I am not a big fan of the winter! :)
ReplyDeleteYeah I saw this within the morning as I went out but it's not that great here but went out for a little and hey going to say it - do you have any current pictures of Ground Zero...Maryann?
ReplyDeletehope you're feeling better- it's best to just take things as they come and not worry too much. It is all part of the journey :) take care
ReplyDeleteThank you and am...:)
