It's a building here that used to be held within a family. In the 1800s it was used for the production of equipment that was agriculture related. In 1995, it was abandoned and then one family took it on and decided with the need for more dwellings.
The concept was to maintain the brick and mortar as well as the high ceilings and by the end of this summer it shall be completed. The renovation to into regards creating something that was conceptually commercial, while still maintaining the symbolic history.
Come August of 2010 this shall be completed as already it's gone beyond what is known as the critical schedule of development.
Yet it shall be done. The schedule in the last two months has been a 24/7 in order to meet the mandates as well as the investment.
.very nice --it-looks very clean ..:)

ReplyDeleteImagine a magnificent piano à queue in that room. Those pillars and large windows, a superb loft it would be. Nice pictures again Jack. Thanks for the visit.
ReplyDeleteWas a conceptual I took. I would have prefered to have something symbolic within the middle yet it's rather nice and is one of my favorites.
ReplyDeleteYeah he is Caroline, insulation is set down first thereafter there will be wood floors combined with some marble placed in.
ReplyDeleteThis is not me Tess.
ReplyDeleteI wanted to just do something creative with this one, it's the same gent that was doing the insulation in the flooring.
It's much harder to take an old building and restore it than to build one from scratch.
ReplyDeleteI can understand why it is one of your favorites. It is beautiful
ReplyDeleteThese are screws that are drilled in from the other side of the concrete wall.
ReplyDeleteLets see what this looks like when it's finished :)

Fascinating, Jack! The building looks huge! Are they planning on making it into condominiums, as a return on what must be a significant investment? Would love to see the finished product!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the magnificent tour, Jack! :).
Yeah this will be made into condos, the concept I kid you not was to incorporate a New York feel along with a European flair.
ReplyDeleteThis is just a great shot Jack....Love it , and Have a great weekend also.... :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks and you as well Jules...
ReplyDeleteLooking outside the window i love doing, gives me a refreshing attitude each time.
