Picture Perfect #6 ~ Sound ~

The theme for Picture Perfect this week is:

S O U N D

This was done last winter as I walked within a session of a few. For myself music is something that resonates throughout each land. I like many have played for years as well within my earlier years recorded and toured, now and then over the past seven years I have come to just love producing and just enjoying music.

There is not one day within our lives that sound is not involved. Lyrical content is much like poetry I am not sure if there is a difference between the two. Yet within sound is a harmony that truly enriches "the art" of life. I have never seen one person that could ever go without sound. Sound is so many things but yet for myself it's always been very close to my heart. I will post a past lyric if this is alright.

You were sitting and I was thinking
Of all the times that we have been spending around
The situation could only get better
And I never uncovered
Nor discovering what I found

This situation can only get better
Seemingly it's all quiet right

In the morning, just moving easy
These moments seem so right
The sun is rising and those soft whispers
These moments we just seem to understand
Nothing fancy just so easy
One realizes what may be found

This situation could only get better
As it's all quiet right

When the night comes while you were dreaming
I was thinking about the things we've said
It's looking forward
With a certain ease now
Time isn’t passing us by
This situation can only get better
As it seems quite right

  3. Great entry, Jack!
For sure many have enjoyed music over the years, but I don't think too many have recorded, toured and produced. That becomes uniquely you!

  4. Frani, this was a very hard one to render. I literally went through a variety of pictures but then I thought this was it. Sound is never static, it's something that encompasses all senses and I have truly yet to find one person that has ever not enjoyed "sound".

  6. Music and Poetry is but one ... they both speaks of what's inside the heart of the composer or the lyricist. And they are both you Jack. I am your fan since the beginning, you knew that.

  18. Baz very nice picture of a place that I have traveled through - tremendous shot if I may. For myself I had to "back log" to pictures of the past that were not saved.
Yet this is a capture that is really onto itself.

  19. Caroline I have not partook in this one and only group for some time yet I will be honest with you - I never backed up many pictures from earlier days this one was not that easy to achieve as I could not capture the essence of sound combined with a picture. However, I did and there are some tremendous pictures to say the least.

I kid not Caroline there are some truly semi professional photographers on here. This topic of sound was very different other themes.

  20. I have not partook in PP since I had an accident and collision back a while ago but this was nice very nice. I thank you all and within this theme as well. I was not insured for my new camera but so be it. I have had a comment by one of the admins of PP that the picture I placed on was to small but I had to fetch it from my USB. So sound is a great theme. To all the above I really do thank you as this was the first within a long time. It still fascinates me to this day - this picture perfect group.

  21. Speechless as Val, there are so many conceptuals here that it really does amaze me as well as yours.
Nature as in many cases within all that has been posted really does illustrate - Sound. Thank you.

  22. Well, when I tell others that I played piano at Carnegie Hall, their eyes open wide, and their jaws literally drop to the floor in total shock and surprise. Well, it's sorta true! My piano instructor had his office two blocks up from Carnegie Hall, and since at that time I did not own a piano, he informed me that Carnegie Hall had study rooms that students could use. So, after my lessons, I would walk over to Carnegie Hall and practice in one of the study rooms. There's a saying: "How do you get to Carnegie Hall? Practice, practice, practice!" :)

Piano has always been my favorite instrument. To me, there is no other sound quite so beautiful! I love your lyrics, Jack! You seem to be a bit of a romantic! :)

"Music speaks what cannot be expressed, soothes the mind and gives it rest, heals the heart and makes it whole, flows from heaven to the soul.” (How true!)

  24. I have asked many folk this week to try and post their pictures a little larger, so much is lost if the pictures are too big or too small. This is a winning picture and part of the rules state a decent sized pic.

Never meant to offend you at all

    :)

  30. Hi Jack, that is a beautiful picture, well complemented by your words. As you know, I love piano, if there would be only one instrument, I think I would like it to be the piano. You mention that you have never met someone who does not enjoy music and that makes me think of people with hearing disabilities or who cannot ear at all. I am always amazed to see how well they can dance because for them sound is felt or through the vibrations of the floor. I suppose the sound as to be rather loud but it is wonderful to think that they can ``feel`` music just as we hear it.

  31. Certainly so Danielle. I really had not thought of that...:) A bass now that is one component that certainly gives way to not just hearing but within feelings. One thought I had of recent was within the feel. Feel now there is a thought worth more way than one with regards to this area called sound.
