  7. Both involve in believing in one's abilities. A confident person is at ease with themselves and others, and understand their weaknesses and strengths. An arrogannt person plays up their abilities, while neglecting to acknowledge their weaknesses. A confident person compliments others, while an arrogant person

  8. Sorry, I hit submit before I was finished! lol!

Both involve in believing in one's abilities.

A confident person is at ease with themselves, and with others, and understands their strengths and weaknesses.
An arrogant person plays up their abilities, and cannot, or will not, acknowledge their weaknesses.
    A confident person compliments others.
An arrogant person brags about themselves, while putting others down (in an effort to feel superior)

  9. With confidence there is a positive belief. With arrogance there is a derogatory attitude toward others.

  10. Any successful person has confidence, when it turns into arrogance, they are setting themselves up for a fall!

I think you see this in athletes more than anywhere else. Professional athletes need confidence to become as successful as they are, when they become arrogant, someone else usually beats them.

  11. There is a fine line between the two but it is Confidence that enables us to become successful so that even though we may make mistakes and have some failures along the way we continue to work towards our goals. Every great inventor and every great athlete has had mishaps along the way. Arrogance is when we get a BIG head about the knowledge that we have and become close minded to what others have to offer as well. Humility is the key. Humility opens the doors to greater learning (sometimes from people the arrogant person believes to be inferior and less educated) Compassion goes a long way too.

  12. I was just thinking about an example ..something that is really disturbing to me is the way some adults are arrogant with little children who are just learning. Sometimes I think it would be wise for people to take some lessons from the little ones themselves. How beautiful to really take the time to truly listen and what a gift it is to encourage another

  13. I so agree, but instead of arrogance, I call it being cocky!!

  14. A confident person is formed by way of humbleness and a continual learning if I may add MaryAnne, they have rendered yet they may never show there strength.
Perhaps humble and confidence are related?
Confidence is a large are from which to explain as it encompasses so much more where as arrogance is rather simple. No worries I was not on here much last night.

  15. Please don't get me wrong but would not the personality of either believe they have value? DJ, what I mean is they would not actually realize they are confident nor arrogant.
Yet the confident personality has a value, a certain commodity that exudes something.

  16. Very true not being arrogant here just writing. I think it all depends on what we area of life we are talking about. Within athletes they truly do exemplify self confidence.
Yet in other areas as well...think of a few people and then there are humble people that are very confident as well. One that has something does not necessarily have
    to indicated there confidence.
