There is no doubt that it's cold! Today was the coldest yet and well even with all that said I finally got my ford and I am glad I took a spin at the end of the day to just test it out then I grabbed some fast food. I have been looking at some places all over and it's interesting how cold or how much snow some places have received. It's always been a way of life up here especially where I live. I can't say I am a large fan of winter but you have to just go with it. I remember an old saying "if you live here you have to have a good sense of humor". I think that applies as it's something that just is what it is. But soon enough and before you know it there will be spring. Today was a record low as from the night right through till the afternoon it held at -31c/-28f. One gets dressed up and just do it. I am so glad that now I have wheels. And the car is not brand new but it suffices and right after getting drive out fast food thought I would get a capture as this shows in a way how cold it is.
We really never get all that much snow here but we do get hit with the cold and all I know is now I don't have to pull out the huskies and go mush! :) So it's not a great day for shining your shoes it's much better to just change them and stay warm! Within the spring this is why we really literally enjoy it so much. Next year shall be a time that is worth a trip to a warm place for two weeks!
Its doesn't matter whether your car is old or second hand, what's important is ~ "he" is running and in top condition'. I do love spring very much as well as i loved autumn~the changing of shades, its just so lovely! Happy driving, and yes, take care :)
ReplyDeleteWe,ve,,got to take the good with the Bad,it,makes us appreciate things more,,I,m glad that you have your Car Back!
ReplyDeleteSo true it's been cold all over so many places and the snow that seemingly has hit places that have never had it. The car is three years old and is just grand!
ReplyDeleteThanks Maritess as it's great now to have wheels :)
Thanks I have a different car and it has really made one realize during this time of the year how important it is. You gain an appreciation of it much more.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are enjoying your new car. Enjoy the rest of your evening, stay warm :]
ReplyDeleteAll over it seems that so many have got this cold stream and snow Kelly.
ReplyDeleteI know that it last there for a a month and a little. Thank you and all the best!
I am like you as not really being a great fan of winter. I do prefer mid Spring to Early summer the best but you just got to go with what comes and make the best of it. I got out in this cold today for a short while at least. There were only a couple other people on the River Walk besides my daughter and I , one very dedicated runner and another runner with 2 of his dogs.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of Mushers my nephew in Northern Michigan did that for awhile seriously! It was a time he loved , several years ago now though and now he has a wife and 2 little ones , that keeps him busy along with work. Have a good night
I have been running within the mornings but this morning no way. Mind you I am not running like that and I have never run long distances within climates like this. But it's really something to see how much snow has taken place while I was reading around here this evening. In one month things start to change and I do look forward to it but yet you just render what is and work along with nature. It's nice to be indoors within the eve! A great evening down there to you Cheryl.
ReplyDeleteanother winter storm moving through here tonight..when will it end?...perhaps a little global warming right now wouldn't be so bad...LOL...not to upset my green friends...:))))))
ReplyDeleteROLF yeah to be in the tropics oh there is a certain thing that would be rather most enjoyable to say the least Mike!
ReplyDeletelol!!! oh I know global warming, climate change is very serious... and I in no way would diminish the severity of it..just a little laugh for us...my friend..:)
ReplyDelete. We are going thru ...the worst Winter ..for 30 yrs ....:)
ReplyDeleteSmiling over here as closed up everything...
ReplyDeleteYeah it's the same old same old here but there literally are place that have never seen snow and are getting it.
ReplyDeleteIt's all to interesting in how this year things have really took on a change with the weather and yeah it's been
the first time this has happened by way of the Atlantic in decades.
So at the end of the day I just got take out :) How can they do this in these temperatures beats me!
ReplyDeleteIts been cold here today, though not as cold as where you are. Winter looks nice and cozy only on a Postcard. Right now Sunshine and warmth are really valuable commodities. Keep warm. Stay safe. As long as the car functions well and does what it needs to do without hassling you, its all good.
ReplyDeleteI can relate to this Rashmi! All is good and time to head to bed here...!
ReplyDeleteIt's cold here down South in South Carolina as well! It was sleeting earlier, might snow, I hope.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you got your car Jack! Stay warm, and I look forward to seeing some new photos!
ReplyDeletewe got snow but that means it finally warmed up here so we'll take it! whew hoo on the wheels! i really need to get some before mine dies! LOL! you should've told me, i would've lent you my husky!
ReplyDeleteWe here in the North need to be able to rely on our cars to start and take us to the hospital and food supply places in the darkest, coldest days of winter.
ReplyDeleteGood Morning to you my friend,
ReplyDeleteAfter the coldest night on record in the uk the sun is shining but still very icy and cold.Winter has its advantages but the fuel bill will soar this quarter lol, have a great friday and weekend xx

ReplyDeletewishing you a good weekend, stay warm
ReplyDeleteWhat car?
ReplyDeleteI had a phone call one Saturday morning from their major Plant in Canada.
Henry was visiting and he needed parts to finish his build.
He received them and the Flight details the same day.
Made a friend for life and I never saw the man. lol
we want to see your car! oh and did I hear you say something about a nice warm trip next year during the winter? where to? I am a curious cat. :)
ReplyDeleteYay! You got your car. That's Great!
ReplyDeleteCold, cold, cold...snow, snow, snow. Tired of shoveling, yet is is pretty for all that.
ReplyDeleteI guess one never appreciates something like sunshine and warm weather unless you live without it for great stretches like you do Jack. Hope you won't have to travel far to find that warm place next year.
ReplyDeleteI just arrived home Bill this might be a write for your blog yeah?
ReplyDeletePerhaps aside of that who cares where from? It's a globalized world.
Canada, United States, England. Time to just chill out :)
I just arrived on here and all in good time as I deem fit Suzie. :)
ReplyDeleteDoug I just literally got on here and the forcast believe it or not it going up to + 3c come Sunday. But last night when I was reading all these blogs with pictures it was amazing to see the amount of snow that has come about. Next year is next year but three good frends have headed off to Mexico.....man that has to be nice! :)
ReplyDeleteWinter does look nice an cozy on a postcard! :) I like that last night as it was really truly something that was so true.
ReplyDeleteAnd just think about ratherly walking upon the sand :) Just thought I would mention :)
ReplyDeleteKaryn we do really do I sometimes don't think anyone realizes what it's like within Canada especially during this time of the year.
ReplyDeleteBut you just flow along with it...in two months before you know it here comes the sun as well as much more warmer climates.
+3c is encouraging. Maybe something will melt.
ReplyDeleteYes, I'm afraid nothing south of Texas is likely to be warm. Right now I'd like to be in Hawaii, but San Diego would do.
A great one to you Rosie....seen pictures of over there and it's a first. Mind you the Queen is warm :)
ReplyDeleteWe don't have all that much snow Doug if you ever see the east coast they have so much shovelling not in comparison to Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and the "New England" states.
ReplyDeleteI arrived home a while ago and I have to say there is such a mix of things with areas where winter has hit there are some that are all to fun there are some very humourous blogs with this winterscape that has happened!
ReplyDeleteNice clouds. At least in Canada, we have the appropriate clothes for those cold weathers. It must be more difficult for people in other countries who are not ready for winter conditions. I have never heard that expression `pull out the huskies and go mush`, can you explain what it means? And yes! Two weeks to walk bare-feet in the sand! A dream to dream.
ReplyDeleteHi Danielle it's a joke :) and Happy Birthday!
