For this Clyde is a King

Prep for worldshow2007 133

For this Clyde is a King

At night he wanders about
With a vision
That he only sees
The eyes glitter
Under the starlit sky
Attune with the winds
He is free
Roaming as he wishes
For this Clyde is a king

As he rears and snorts loudly
He warns the sky to flee
Only when need be
For it does know his power
Yet he is the humble
For this Clyde is a king

The tail swishes
Within a powerful yet
Humble manner
His mane lands
Upon his elegant neck
For he is a king
With his grace and beauty
And the vision that is
Obvious when he sets
His own stance

Run with the winds
Romp with the sun
Majestically as he does
For this Clyde is a king

  6. Good morning Jack, I see you are still an early bird. Such a nice Clyde. When I was younger, with my father we used to gather the maple water with a horse like this one, pulling the big barrel. They are so strong. In St-Hyacinthe during summer, there is an annual fair and every year there are competitions with those. When you see twelve of them riding around the arena, it makes quite an impression. I would not want to stand in their way. Certainly the king of horses. Must get going, long day ahead. The more furniture I see the more confused I get. So many other things to do as well. Hope all is done by Spring time. A vacation then will certainly be welcome. I have seen a small piano, beautiful. Don`t know how to play but... very tempting. Une folie peut-ĂȘtre. Have a wonderful day Jack and if you are away for a while, once again, take care and get well soon.

  8. A tear falls as I try to hold them back. There is my "King"a resemblance so close that I can feel his presence.A tribute to him and other king of horses, written by a man that happened to venture into my small world,or I should say I into his.Words cannot express my graditude for the beautiful words of your poem."Your thanking me" why? It is a small world and you shared with us something that is so dear to my heart, and went the extra mile and wrote a poem about such a wonderful companion that I was blessed to share with a foster family years ago.He was my true friend, and his name was King.He was so majestic, yet so gentle and protective. From all the great animal lovers out there, thank you Jack, whoever you are.All I know is you are a man with a heart and a soul.
In memory of King,I thank you,and will cherish the poem.
I do not know what tomorrow holds for you with your hospital visit, but I will be praying for good news. May God watch over you,and thank you,Caroline

  13. Jack glad that Lilltekoukla got to read, see, and enjoy all the enjoyment that you shared with us on a day that must have been trying for you.It amazes me how much people are able to give of themselves at times when they are going through a trying time themselves, and end up giving to others. As you said there are so many caring and interesting people to meet and you just met one in Australia. They don't come any better.I thank you for your comment on my page, and hope you will share any writing,or poem from time to time, your writings and values speak for themselves. You mentioned that there are only things you share with your friends,I hope i did''nt overstep my bounds.I'm truly sorry if I did. It's just called caring for another human being.I am so thankful that today went good for you,and hope you are able to rest comfortably tonight. Hopefully your friend,Rainbowpromises.Peace be with you.

  14. No! In no way don't over think it and all is well. If there would have been some problem I would have told ya, yet I have learned not to take this too serious on here. Yet I do enjoy it. Yes Michelle is a very fine person there are some very ironic coincidental things that seem to happen - I guess that is why they call it "Multiply". :).
As last night for the time that I was on when I saw here post I read it and it was exceptional. So there :).
Usually I have kept this to contacts and friends only. "They don't come any better" we all are whom we are and that is the significance of all of this Caroline. I could name some names of some very interesting people that have been a gain but I think that is obvious within all of this. Your two hours ahead of me in time over there in New England but I bid you a good morning from here. And here I am looking at a horse from my cousin that if I only had my own camera and went out there I would have rendered this in a composition that was like a piece of art. C'est la vie....
