With the allowance of the administrators of Picture Perfect I thought I would write something with regards to one man that had an influence offline and online with so many.
In Dedication to John O
The smile of the retired tar
The humble one
Yet one so embraced
Your passing seemed
All to soon
It's not very far
To where you are
Your passage
Left many with a void
Of grace
As you shall be missed
Sleep in peace dear John
Your character shall certain
Live on
Little would you know
How much it did matter
That vibrancy of yours
That certainly still continues
The world is less one hero
One in which
Several if not many
Looked up too
Perhaps you
Didn’t know
Sleep and rest humble one
Those that you have touch
Are now coming to closure
With your passing
The smile that you rendered
An illustration of such
A man that lived his life
With a fine style and
A certainty of grace
Rest John 0
Smiles will form and return
As did yours and they shall
Never be forgotten
Rest John
As you fostered plenty especially within a
Human capacity
That shall never be replaced
Nor be forgotten
~jgs~

ReplyDeleteVery moving tribute. I can see that he was someone that made a positive difference to many. May he rest in peace.
ReplyDeleteHe was a very good man Maritess.
ReplyDeleteCheryl he was a retired navy man and he had a very large impact that I have never seen the like of.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know John but I waited for the permission to obtain his picture and write on him...when I
saw him along with some other pictures it probably was the hardest write I have ever done. We come in
and go out of the world and John seemed to really make an impact within a group as well as within
the sphere of people he came to know. Hence the write.
OMG Jack you are a real poet, you described John so well , the words thank you will not be enough I guess but unfortunately I dont know what to say.HUGSSSSSS
ReplyDeleteComing back to this Fatos as no I am not a poet but thanks it was a very nice time to write on the man that influenced many.
