Within your own way. I went out after a good nights rest and went for a walk. You have to prepare yourself within it all. But you just do it.
Thereafter, I had my small camera at hand and I went out to the outskirts of town.
It's amazing when you talk to people that you have never known and you don't just ask for a picture but there is something to be said with the means in which one does strike up that conversation.
The main think for me was doing things for my own self, and secondarily then obviously I wanted to obtain some rural shots and thereafter I returned home and it's obvious that the winter is around the corner there is no moving past that, but it's still so interesting in what can transpire after a discussion.
I am not sure how many have went out and talked to people they have never known but the manner of how you do it is to each and everyone in their own way. However the it all come down to the intentions of a person.
Out in the outskirts of town I wanted to get something. I was not sure but when it came - I saw it and then knocked on the home of the owners and had a talk with them and thereafter they knew my surname and as well as my intentions.
I think that probably in smaller towns this is much more easily done, but for me there was two wins within all of this. This particular house that resides on the outskirts of town had kept on there lot an old house. We talked for a little and then thereafter I went and took a few pictures within I will post as there are a few that I have but I truly enjoyed it.
Perhaps it's the picture taking as well as the people that you do meet. Not at all time but most of the times for myself.
well worth the time and effort Jack...this is awesome...there's something so pristine and fresh about new snow :) and new friends...
ReplyDeleteyeah there were two places that I did visit but I am still more prone to the writing, yet today was the first break within the weather and there and after I thought to myself why not. And I have taken so many pictures that I love it yet I don't wish it to be mechanical but within a share.
ReplyDeleteI thank you.
makes me smile :)

ReplyDeletewhat a great shot of that road and pure white snow, great to get out and find someone to chat with , enjoy Friday Rosiex
they are great pictures.
ReplyDeletewhen in Miami I went to a market that I though it was very original very tropical it looks like another country and not a place in USA, I took my camera and intended to take picture when a employee stop me and told it was prohibit to take pictures. wow then I understood why some people said Miami its more like a third world country, I felt like that.
sometimes you just have to sneak a picture...that is what the 300mm lens does
ReplyDeleteasking is good if you need to get up close for a shot
and getting out is a great excuse for taking pics....
WHAT DO THEY HAVE THERE SOME SECRET DOCUMENTS? IF i WANT TO TAKE ILLEGAL PICTURES I WILL HAVE A CONCEAL CAMERA OR USE MY CELL PHONE, THEY JUST SILLY AND THINK THAT MIAMI IS AN EXTENSION OF CUBA
ReplyDeleteThanks Maggie a smile is worth so much in so many ways. :) :)
ReplyDeleteRosie for some reason I can only place one picture and if I place more than one then it does not expland.
ReplyDeleteThe trail expanded I don't know why but all the same it's just a good day. Within the life and times.
It's white snow - but nothing like what it will be in two months from now....but we can wait for that!
Enjoying the moments and the tomorrows...:)
Kayta I am getting that so much now. Just a year ago it seems that you could take a picture anywhere and now it's something that many places have prohibited pictures. I think it might have to do with security. And rightfully so. So regardless of all that I have cover so many pictures in the past I love to write. But today was doing two things not just one. A great outing and as well, there is that manner in how you approach things that sometimes gives way as I have been in places where......
ReplyDeleteI am writing back too much - thank you! :)
"This land is yours, this land is mine from...." I hope you know what I mean :)
Dana, I bought one and I returned it, silly me as I am so used to having the luxury of doing things and I know there are some people that do not even have a camera and are on here. As well, I see pictures that are taken from a camera that I looked at and asked myself at this time do I really need it or do I really want it.
ReplyDeleteI didn't really need it for now this serves me well. It's about getting out there and enjoying those things that one does love and then some.
I can't place the name for what it is to take a picture however I do love it but winter is one that is rather different for me but yet it still is fun.
Katya I think that we live in a world that it's not as easy as before with just doing these things - for example one person could be casing up a place to go and rob.
ReplyDeleteOne could be doing many things. Before the camera era you saw something and most often you just enjoyed it for what it was. Now it can be captured and in the wrong hands maybe security is a good reason.
All I know is that I have run into problems where I have not had the allowance, yet after giving my name and approaching various areas, places I usually most of the times have that time but it's not my occupation. The folks that owned this property asked me what my last name was and I think that there is vandalism and so on. It's a changing world - yet a good one.
I have never been down there recently to see what they do but every place has it's own manner with regards to this areas. Yet these are just a few pictures within the beginning of winter. :)
You have a great way of seeing things my friend.
ReplyDeleteHey! Jimi ..................!
ReplyDeleteI hope it all went well as I am sure it has!
Great pictures and a great blog.
ReplyDeleteThanks Tony you know I have 10 more but I am in that mood of writing.
ReplyDeleteAs far as blogs I have read more in the last week that there is something that is of great worth so I am one that is just interconnected.
Yet I thank you and that is how the outskirts here looked here today.
I always have penchants for long winding roads. The way they're being photographs and turn in to pictures. This one is great Jack ... you capture the lonesomeness of a gray winter yet beautiful. Feels like I want to walk there myself ... and savour the crispy coolness of the air [smiles]
ReplyDeleteYes that was a road into the home of these people and it was a great day, but there was good within it.
ReplyDeleteYes ... winter has some warmth [smiles]
ReplyDeleteIndoors when it does get very cold yes :)
ReplyDeleteNice photos, and a neat story!
ReplyDeleteThanks Terri..
ReplyDeletenoooooooooo, not the white stuff! LOL! glad you had a great day!
ReplyDeleteLooks like your snow stuck...
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy your photos. I understand about some not wanting photos to be taken. It depends on where the photos might end up and what they might be used for. I try to avoid taking photos of people as a courtesy for their freedom and privacy. I would find it strange to see photos of me on the internet, like in someone's facebook album or something.
Talking to people you don't know requires a certain courage but it can do good.
Nice photos, Jack! I can see that you have a nice moment talking with the owners and seems that they are very friendly..Glad that you enjoy :)
