You Get to Bed at Midnight and

You have 3.5 hours of sleep. It's funny how things change with parents as you come to be like the adult. My mother is on a medication called Hydromorph 2mg and every four hours she has to take it. I have had one coffee and there is no doubt that I need to  have 3 more cups or perhaps I just dreaming that I am doing this right now.

Mia it's a nice day mild I mean - so this is good and I will find that nap later on.

  11. No worries Rosie. Today I have to say home so if you wish to have that chat by all means just let me know. My mother was placed on a medication that I have to monitor her for every four hours for just today. My real name is John, but as you would know in England that often many people named John are called Jack.
I have been since birth, my grandfather was and my great grandfather was - I am the third generation of my given names - but money didnt come with it :)

  13. Take care as you are able I know it's a difficult task as my Mom is having to do so much even with Dad in the Nursing Home and she is exhausted because he cries when she leaves . He may get to go home in the next month but it's a lot of care giving for her. I had to leave Michigan a day early because we had a death in the family here and I was so exhausted after it all the first chance I got I think I slept enough for 2 days!
    Do try to rest

  14. Hi Nancie, I am in an hour I will be heading for a nap I think. I have never done this before in my life and I feel like it's nearly night already. Well in a while I will take a two hour sleep and then get on with things.

  15. Yeah I will, I just want to see that he is up and settled and then she is back in bed as she is doing fine and then I can squeeze in my own time. Cheryl that sounds like it was very taxing for you. To leave and then return to something else - that is hard.

  17. That could be very wearing, but you say it is just for today? Might take a day or two to recuperate. Not as quickly as staying up all night in one's 20's. :-))

  18. DJ, I was up at 4am then I headed out to get a few things and then had to take a nap as she is on meds every four hours and I think now it's working for her.
No it's certainly not but it's working for her.

  19. That will be hard to have lack of sleep at night but you have to do the best to your mom :) take a nap (without having coffee before) will be a perfect solution ;)

  20. Finally last night I headed to bed early and I woke up at 9pm. And oh thank god for that as yesterday was a day that I have never encountered in some times.
My first thoughts were why didnt they take here into the hospital during this time - but it's all unionized here and they say they don't have beds - but I have seen it where there are literally floors of beds - but by way of union some just dont want to work and it ends up being family that tends to things that should be handled within a hospital.
My two cents on this one Silvia.

  21. yeah, actually I wondered why your mom didn't taken to hospital since maybe they can help more. But you know some elder man doesn't want to stay in the hospital, they prefer stay in the house. But if it related to the family that maybe didn't want to take her to hospital then it's another matter. Please give more attention to your mom to see if she is better to stay in the hospital or not for early recovery. Sick makes people tired. Wish your mom gets better soon..God Bless her..

  22. Yeah there has been much with all of this - this week but finally there is some balance slowly coming into place. She actually should have been in a hospital for a while - it's a story onto itself as Canada does have some things pending the province with this. But all is slowly getting better Silvia.
