Reformations...Economically

Recently there seems to be much worry on the part of Canadians and the wording of President Obama new economic policy. I am all for Obama but Canada is not Mexico and we have been the largest trading partners in the world.

I hope that we there are changes in the provisions as this could have tremendous impact on Canada. I believe in the micro and macro economics in resolving an issue. I hope for a change from which it all can work out economically with two countries as well as several others.

We have to thank George W...and his administration for creating one of the worst economic times that we will ever see. Just my opinion...

 

A Brief Mention

There have been a variety of things that have been taking place the last week  - family matters that have been hard to take at time I have not been on here that much as last week was tremendously hard with matters that one can only understand when or if they have been there with certain situations with conditions within family.

So without fretting on it I wish to just with all a great weekend.

Within the Wording...

No longer are we within an era of the caveman when grunts and gestures got us by. Mind you that all said I am looking forward to the spring again.

Language has evolved into an art form with slang terms accepted in most of today's dictionaries. It is by our own education and life experience that we learn to associate words.

We learn the value of words and the power of them to influence others and the association of the word differs with each individual. If you've ever done the association test; saying the first thing that comes to mind when a word is spoken; you learn a lot about what motivates you. Words have the ability to encourage, heal, uplift. When someone doubts himself, having the right person expressing belief in him can make all the difference.

With the written word, you have the ability to educate and inspire, share thoughts with others at a distance, create binding agreements between individuals and nations, as well as leave a legacy for those who come after each and everyone of us. We choose the words we use and we choose the manner in which we use them. For every word we speak or write, there are consequences for them.

It’s obvious our own inner thoughts give value. At the same time that could go into a direction of denial. Or we can think in a manner that will not give way to a direction of value. So within how we think is something ->with some manner that is a dynamic of choice. But we do have the choice of how much we wish to think on some things that are not necessary – as they may not take us anywhere, where as other thoughts do take us places. As with the painter something can come from nothing just by the way of a creative thought or the way of thought. I think sometimes what we fail to see inside is a result of how one makes the choice of how they process everything.

We all have times in which we fail to see from within. I know that sometimes I forget to connect with the power of what is within. So often we will act with our emotions and that will sometimes deprive our own feelings of what can be rather than what can’t be. I tend to think that it’s a balancing act that each person does in their own way as what surrounds them within their life and how they tap into their inner dialogue.

Within a realization of what is, you can then bring about what.....can be rather than what can’t be. That all said I know I am weaving my way around as an excusion of thoughts but one thing is for sure - I can't wait till winter is over.

DUALITY...

I was thinking about this word since a write done the other night and we all are changing and yet at the same time we have this body that does have a soul. I suppose we change but at the same time we stay consistent with some of the things that we were brought up with and there is this continued manner that we have within our own spiritual souls.

We adopt many things over time and we encounter several things as we live throughout our lives. People have their own manner in which duality takes place, for myself I believe that purpose is tied within duality to a great extent. Through the thick and the thin we seem to progress and make the best of it all.

I was merely reading a few blogs and then I came back to my own and read this one that a friend had placed in a YOUTUBE.

That said, I am still thinking on this term and concept of "duality" as it really did catch my attention and I probably will come back to it. As this evening I was thinking on duality as well several concepts.

LIKE EVERYONE ELSE

Separation and division is the central key as to why there are so many problems in the world. The Ego is looking out for some reason why they alone are somehow above the crowd so that their own personal experiences are better than the average common people.

Individuals want to feel special, as if their own life experience is something in which no one else can understand or relate. In fact, most people are almost in shock when they bond with someone else who seems to understand them as no one else can.

Some take pride if the fact that they view themselves as misunderstood as it is somehow glamorous to be so tragic while others go into another extreme and brag of being so popular as if there is no other place to be.

Like minded individuals can get together for a common purpose and when ego takes over the group feels as if it is misunderstood by everyone else and they are somehow above the people outside of the group. Groups can form to be cliques, clubs, churches, gangs, armies, and countries. No matter what you label it, the group will somehow feed into the common ego that their life experience, happiness, heartaches, pains, ad joys are somehow wrong or evil or someone to be avoided.

Such thinking is the core as to why people fail to connect to other. One group believes is supreme and the others have no rights as they do, in fact, they believe everyone outside of the group as some how interior and not deserving of the same merits of humanity.

This can quickly turn to prejudice, hatred, intolerance and lead to acts of war, violence, aggression and cruelty. This kind of thinking keeps hungry people starving, abused people in fear, and poor people in poverty. It enslaves your mind, even if you are in the group, which deprives other of equality.

Just look, we do have our own unique quirks and ways to do things among our peers, but chances are somewhere in the world you will find a few dozen people with all those exact qualities. It is inside, where really counts, that we are all equal.

The color of our skin, weight, height, shape and other outside features do not make you who you really are, it is your reaction to how people treat you because of your features that make you who you are. Twins with identical features could be subjected to the same rude comments from people who want to find a way to discount their importance by calling them on a physical feature. One twin could get offended by such remarks and adopt an attitude of hatred for those who don’t look like her. The other twin could forgive those and live her life in peace, waiting for those who will accept.

Religion or spiritual beliefs do not make you who you are, it is how you practice what you preached. Some like to brow beat a certain faith as hypocritical because they know members of that church who are sinners according to the beliefs they profess. In fact, there are hypocrites in every faith who hide behind them for various reasons. They have nothing to do with those who truly believe in that faith. To discount all faith on behalf of the handfuls of liars in a slap in the face of those who are doing what they believe.

There is no one correct way to review life. Just as 10 witnesses to a car accident can come up with 10 different accounts of the scene that would be correct in their own point of view, the over 6 billion people in the world make their own correct judgement of life depending on what they are personally seeing.

Someone who grows up in a life of exclusive luxury and not exposed to poverty will see life in a whole different light than one who lives in a third world country who is in abject poverty. One is not a better way to view life than the other, they are just different points of view in the literal sense. One sees life most likely as a great abundance and the other might see life as harsh and both would be correct.

We are all creatures who want the same exact things in life. That is the humanity within us that makes us equal. When the ego takes over, we neglect the fact that others have that same essence of life and quests we do.

We all want love. When we become balanced within ourselves and learn to love ourselves, we want love, not false dependency. We want respect. We want to achieve our goals. We want to be remembered. We want to feel special. We want our basic needs to be met with the least amount of resistance. We want peace. We want a quality in our lives. We want health and mental well being.

No one really wants to live in fear and conflict. No one wants to feel physical or emotional pain. No one wants to be hated, neglected, abused, starved, enslaved or disrespected. There are some twisted minds too caught up in the ego that have warped the essence of humanity that they would debase themselves and others. That is not the true nature of man. That is sick mind in control of a runaway vehicle.

Ironically, it is also human nature that brings out the best of humanity in a time of crisis. Our own need for self preservation can come out when we see our safety and security threatened, we tend to band together to help each other. Many people like to describe an end time scene where man will turn against man and kill each other, in a quest to survive. History will point out otherwise. During times of famine, earthquakes, acts of war, terrorism or any other disaster, people generally will help others in need when and how they can. Of course there will always be the losers and people who are deprived of their true essence of humanity, but for the most part you will find hones, decent people who will help another person in need if they can do something.

If we ever want to live in a world of peace, we are simply going to have to get over our own ego. We must be true to our own nature and ourselves. We must also learn to respect and allow others to be instead of controlling how we think they must be. We are all looking at the same world from different angles with the same inner needs, hopes and desires. We all will make mistakes as we learn how to play the rules in this game called life. Just because we do not see eye to eye does not mean we won’t come to our own right way to live, to think and to Be…It's an ideal, but I believe in this writing that I had done. Peace can only be achieved on several levels and that does make way for the meaning and achieving within life.

Some will abide with borders, but it all starts within each person to make this world go around. Never does it take only one. With that said, it's sad to see the continued biased relations that are taking place with President Obama. I just thought I might place this in as for decades there has always been this relationship which has been extremely biased and liberates Isreal. Never should a country pave the way for one country to have and open ended alliance - giving allowance to take down another country. The Hamas are not legit, but the people in Palestine are not all like the fanatics that govern that land.

Peace is an ideal, but to liberate one against the other is not a correct thing for a leader to do. It's a breach of policy, I feel as just in office and I truly believe in him, but it's rather ....wrong that there is a continued manner between one government leaving the door open to bombard another. Regardless peace is something that is something that commences with the person.

Peace is ....what it is the recognition of humanity...

 

This friend has done some amazing things within her life. She has travelled from overseas, and is living in New York right now. She had a goal and it's coming true, she has never given up on what she desires and I am certain that she will prevail in doing what she has the intentions of doing. Ironically, we are friends we come from different lands but we will now and then connect. She is a wise person and with all that said it's authentic and it gives and example of life and perhaps what it can be as we all have some manner that we have commonalities.

 

 

 

All Things Pass....

I have shared in here with those that I deem as friends. We all have our own lives and we deal with it. It's nothing more than that. One will sit and wait for life to happen and another will live it.

I have my own path as each of us has our own path within life.

What takes place in the life of any given person

is something that has differences compared to another.

Yet within all that in some manner we weave our way and climb to a higher level and never waiver from what our true intentions within life.

For life itself, is all the spectrums of authenticity and in being true. With truth comes honesty, and merit building the pleasures that we gain more than waiver from.

It's something that we all relate with as it's a part of life.

Friends Can Be Friends...

I truly believe this is more than eye candy and postures. I believe that it’s the ability to be entrusting in whom you have as a friend and within that category if so desired to be able to express it.

 

I think that each of us has that area that they wish to write something and share it and as well I think that as time goes on and time allows – some will do at times write something as to contain it or not to have someone from which to talk about it too would be internalizing one’s own thoughts. That so often leads to one thing – drugs, alcohol, etc.

 

Within this category as we all are not that savvy with blogs we do have that ability to write to just our friends. It’s that area called trust.  Trust is an element that is a part of life and each person does have those times that in some manner things just did not go right for that certain day.

 

I don’t wish to broadcast it too everyone on multiply, but I don't mind in mentioning it to whom I have as friends and it goes both ways. But those that I do, I am sure no I am certain that you have had those days as well.  I enjoy this but at the same time I don’t live sitting behind a computer all day. It’s not my way.

 

I do believe that this is much more than just writings of just one area.  If there is an option that one has taken as a friend, it is what it is. So I had a very situational bad day with family. I don’t mind mentioning it. It’s as simple as that and how interesting if I may say that people just pass on by. While when I see some write that I can see that is not fabricated and that someone is going through something in there own way – that will be the first place that I go. It’s who I am as well as who you are.  But it’s more than that it’s a reality check on society.  We tend to look the other way.

Within it all it has been one hell of a Sunday. But tomorrow must and will be much different for myself, I keep my chin up and I set out my goals and do them.

 

I am not too proud of a man, yet I am a man.

University Students Video.avi




Talking to some students from the University, this was the first university that attended and it was interesting to talk to these young ladies from China. It was there first year outside of China.

Each of them were in studies for different degrees. The one thing we did share in common was that we were not used to this crazed climate during winter.

It was fun, although there were not many people on the within the university during a morning that was rather cold.

~ An Enjoyable Day ~

Last night I was delighted that I had my car finished. I could take pleasure in the weekend.

 I started off this morning in actually having a coffee and talking to a few friends in a chat room, which I rarely do. There is an old friend from Wales whom was in this chat room called professors, that was there and the morning chat was really a good one. As there came a time in which I was very tired of listening to people drunk, infighting and well I think you know what I mean with some chat rooms.

Then after two cups of coffee it was time to get start up my car as throughout the night it went down to minus 41. This morning it was a smooth nice warm –35, so I went out and started my car and left it running while I took a shower and got ready for the day. I went and filled the car up with gas along with gas line anti freeze and ran into this coach line that was where an idea started. The gentleman said that the junior hockey team was across the street having breakfast so I went in and took just two pictures. Thereafter, I went to the university after calling the supervisor and gained access and I was just looking for something different within all this cold.

The university this morning was quiet, there was the exception of a few people in every place that I went.

While waiting for a one or two transit buses to arrive, I went into the main lobby area of the university and was talking to some young students from the university. I talked to them and they were talking about the climate and then I did ask them if they would not mind me doing some video on them and as soon as we were done. The buses were outside. I took a few pictures in hopes of finding that quality picture of some recognition or symbolic value with the winter. However it did not happen so after I went with one friend and grabbed a bite. Thereafter, I was finishing off everything and I was driving by what is this Light Source Energy Building. So many people here in town think its some nuclear generated system but it’s to do with light at a speed that is faster than light. I really don’t know what that does mean.

Helena, from Germany that offered to take me in and show me around she was too timid for a picture, but it was a gift to have someone that worked in there that had the authority to sign me in and give me a tour. I have wanted to go inside this place for the last three years and I finally was able to see it all. Just fascinating it was. She is a doctor of medicine that is utilizing this large complex called they Synchrotron in her studies to find an answer with tumors. Her is that of a neurologist and I really thanked her and gave her a ride back home as she was waiting for the bus.

This city where I am, is probably one of the most innovative cities as it’s founded on education. For a population base of merely 250,000 thousand, does have a metropolitan value about it.

Cold is What It Is...

I love to write and as well take pictures and I just found that it's been a very cold winter. It's late January now. That all said within the pictures it's just cold. There are no two ways about it. You can't do anything regarding it. You just have to accept it for what it is.

Cold is a time in which I find that in the past three years regardless of the city in Canada with the exception to British Colombia I find that most stay inside enjoy the indoors. Now for myself, if I was living in a year round warm climate, I would be walking on the beach. I remember Ft. Pierce very well and I recall the strolls in the evening after a day that the temperature was easily 75F if not more. So in this part of Canada, it's cold and it's not going to change till the end of January. That is when under normal circumstances - it starts to slowly change into Spring, sure it takes some time but when it does, everyone takes off there hats and gloves and it's a great time. But for now we seize the moment for what it is. As when your doing things within temperatures that are far below zero. You have to just either hibernate or bundle up and enjoy the evenings not out in the sun but indoors or at anthers.

For the life of me I don't know how they did it back in the times of my great grandparents whom came from Norway and Hungary. But they seemed to be able too. I am sure you have heard those stories of I walked a mile to school in sub zero temperatures.

Seemingly they all were able to do it.

My afternoon till 2:00 pm.
It's cold here but it was a nice time to walk and dress accordingly and just take in all while waiting for my car to be repaired. For some that did pass my way that were jogging. I have to hand it to them as it's not an easy task.
This I do believe does give some view of how the water gives off a mist as the water is warmer than the air.

However I would not wish to fall in, not at this time of year!


~ All within a Day ~


Unfortunately, when I arrived back to this city, the other day was an icy one and several people were making a turn and five cars in front of mine all hit this median from on street leading to another. So I had the axile and several things that just were repaired.

I have the estimate and I have paid for it in more ways than one. Being a need and not a want there is no choice within this avenue.

I took my car in at 8:00am, and thereafter I headed out to the riverside. I knew that it was a day to place all the work that I have been doing down.

The temperature today was nearing minus 25 Celsius. But it's the first day we have had with some son.

If it was warm it was snowing and otherwise it was cold.
Aside from the car repairs. It all seemed to work out just fine.

~ Labels ~

Labels.... they’re everywhere, on everything. They are used to give us information about the object they reside upon. We rely on that information to educate ourselves as to the value of the product for ourselves. Why is it human nature to want to apply labels to one another? Is it that we're trying to identify those who we find compatible with our existence and eliminate those who aren't? Do they help us to place these individuals in a mold of sorts so that they are easily identifiable to us?

Everyone is given a name at birth, which identifies him or her. Within family and friend, business and social acquaintances, we learn those names and use them. We do sometimes apply a label of our own to them, which separates them in favor, disdain, or some personal value system, but they remain part of our inner circle. These labels would be termed nicknames.

For those we don't know, our observations determine how we categorize them. When we speak of them to another, since we don't know their names, we refer to them based on the observation. The observations however are often tinged with personal opinion, feeling, or prejudice formed from life experience. In other words, if you met me and didn't know my name, when trying to describe me to someone else the words you'd choose would determine what image of me the other person formed in his mind. That is all well and good if you use enough characteristics to form a valid image. The problem comes in when people choose to describe using limited words. However, when it comes down to it, it is wrong. I've take away that person's individuality and allowed him to become just another nonentity. Every person living on this planet is an individual and to take away that individuality shows nothing more than a lack of respect for that person and for myself.

In seeing someone as being lumped into a category we don't really see that person at all. When we fail to see the individual, it encourages misconceptions and furthers prejudice. We allow our opinions to remain biased and shortsighted. As well but they're usually born of the person's own actions. If I call someone an idiot, it's usually because they've done something idiotic. That is a just observation based on their actions. Still again it's an idiotic action based on my own perceptions and opinions of what is correct behavior.

So, labels based on personal knowledge of the individual....are they any better than those applied so callously to those we don't know?

Medical Matters

My sister has gone through many things in the past twenty years, I don't share that but she had some complications and then it's all worked out with a large mass that came up between here large and small intestine.

My folks are far beyond taking care of these things and at the last minute I was asked to tend to going and getting here - she has been there for the last two weeks. I find that she is much better than how she was before with another illness that she has.
So she had things done and now she will carry on the rest of her healing at home. I have never been back into this hospital for a long time. I could not help but recall all that I had done before.

Medical matters are a concern to everyone. There is no doubt about that and some of those things you keep private I have come to learn and not broadcast them but it's been two days of doing many things.

So you do some of the things that are required but you never waiver from what your doing for yourself. I have learned this with a large amount of this thing called Cancer that has been so prevalent within my family.

My brother and I are the only ones that have never been touched with it.

 

Small Request

I spent most of the entire day at the hospital as there is one member within my family that was discharged today and I had to go and attend to all things. I have been here so many times. I would kindly request that someone does not copy what I write I would think that one asks first as well one that tells you how you should have your blog well, I do it within my own way with regards to the reference to another person. I am not teed off, I just feel that most people understand that each person does this within a manner that they wish to do. That is what it's about.  As well, I think that one does as first before doing.

I have not been writing that much as this is something that should be enjoyable. I receive some very nice things on here as well I get some that are the contrary and I just click and take them of but within it all. I think that some can be underhanded and some can be otherwise.

We all do it in our own way...

~ A Sea of People ~

This is not my picture, I wish I was there but nearly 2 million people were jammed onto the National Mall to watch the historic moment, which in fact passed at noon without fanfare, thanks to a U.S. Constitution that says the president-elect gets the job at the top of the hour, oath or no oath.

Chief Justice John Roberts fumbled the oath of office, but I think that so many were so passionate with this very special day.  More seriously, when Senator Ted Kennedy suffered a seizure during the luncheon and was taken to hospital. Joy Diaz, 47, traveled from Burlington, Ont., to stand along the route Obama would pass during the afternoon's inaugural parade. She came because she was fascinated by the 2008 campaign. Diaz said her parents, who are natives of Trinidad, wanted to attend the 1963 march on Washington but could not because they had young children. Diaz was part of a crowd that was on hand to witness a watershed moment in a country with a shameful history of slavery and segregation - a moment that Obama himself made sure to temper with a pointed reminder that difficult days are ahead.

Dick Cheney sitting in a wheelchair with a wooden cane across his lap after straining his back last week, or so they say, emerged onto the inauguration platform with George W. Bush. I must say that I did feel badly in watching him leave, but that goes with territory when one wishes to take on a challenge and be a leader. Some did boo him during the inauguration, I feel that this was a day that people have regard and can come back to that later. Seeming I felt that was not necessary.

I believe that the Presidents successful run, which brought him to where he is now, was long overdue. Last night I watched a some television and from a Canadian perspective there was the same things thought as on the American.

Thereafter for this first time in history I believe the new Pesident and Vice President escorted the their predessors in leaving. That was admirable...

I forget his name as there was an older gentleman that came up and read a poem. It was sensational. As it really after just watching it made me feel so much. And not too many know what that feeling is if they have never experienced before but it's something that may be a rejuvenation of many things. I just saw as it was Dr. Josephy Lowery...

But each one by one...

Today The Bell Resonated

I find that this writing that is regarded highly international what with regards to a man that had a vision. I don't think many come close to his convictions of what he did. As well, I think that he was a man that dared to challenge something within societies that did make an impact back in the 60's.

I think probably people will always make some judgment on people with regards to their color. Not all but some.

Some things change and some things never do. But as time goes by and during these days of recent and especially today marks something very different. Something very significant.

I find that this is one holiday that is celebrated by some and honored by others. What this man stood for was an effort and a basis that would resonate through out not only the United States but as well for many of countries. As well as many cultures. To all that hail from the United States of America this man was more about mankind and society that color. Look at how far we have come! And yet how far we need to go. If Dr. Martin L. King was alive today - I wonder what he would think with regards to everything that we have seen in the last ten years...

"Five score years ago, a great American, in whose symbolic shadow we stand, signed the Emancipation Proclamation. This momentous decree came as a great beacon light of hope to millions of Negro slaves who had been seared in the flames of withering injustice. It came as a joyous daybreak to end the long night of captivity." But one hundred years later, we must face the tragic fact that a black person is still languishing in the corners of  society and finds himself an exile in his own land. So we have come here today to dramatize an appalling condition. In a sense we have come to our nation's capital to cash a check. When the architects of our republic wrote the magnificent words of the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, they were signing a promissory note to which every American was adhere too.

This note was a promise that all men would be guaranteed the unalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. It is obvious that America has defaulted on this promissory note insofar as citizens of color are concerned. America historically gave people of black color a bad check --- a cheque that came back marked "insufficient funds". We refuse to believe that the bank of justice is bankrupt. We refuse to believe that there are insufficient funds in the great vaults of opportunity of this nation. So we have come to cash this check --- a check that will give us upon demand the riches of freedom and the security of justice. We have also come to this hallowed spot to remind America of the fierce urgency of now. This is no time to engage in the luxury of cooling off or to take the tranquilizing drug of gradualism. Now is the time to make real the promises of democracy. Now is the time to rise from the dark and desolate valley of segregation to the sunlit path of racial justice. Now is the time to open the doors of opportunity to all of God's children. Now is the time to lift our nation from the quicksand’s of racial injustice to the solid rock of brotherhood. It would be fatal for the nation to overlook the urgency of the moment and to underestimate the determination of the people of black decent. This sweltering summer of the Negro's legitimate discontent will not pass until there is an invigorating autumn of freedom and equality. Nineteen sixty-three is not an end, but a beginning. There is something that I must say to my people who stand on the warm threshold, which leads into the palace of justice. In the process of gaining our rightful place we must not be guilty of wrongful deeds. Let us not seek to satisfy our thirst for freedom by drinking from the cup of bitterness and hatred. We must forever conduct our struggle on the high plane of dignity and discipline. Again and again we must rise to the majestic heights of meeting physical force with soul force. The marvelous new militancy which has engulfed the Negro community must not lead us to a distrust of all white people, for many of our white brothers, as evidenced by their presence here today, have come to realize that their destiny is tied up with our destiny and their freedom is inextricably bound to our freedom. We cannot walk alone. And as we walk, we must make the pledge that we shall march ahead. We cannot turn back. There are those who are asking the devotees of civil rights, "When will you be satisfied?" We can never be satisfied as long as the Negro is the victim of unspeakable horrors of police brutality. We can never be satisfied as long as our bodies, heavy with the fatigue of travel, cannot gain lodging in the motels of the highways and the hotels of the cities. We cannot be satisfied as long as the Negro's basic mobility is from a smaller ghetto to a larger one. We can never be satisfied as long as a Negro in Mississippi cannot vote and a Negro in New York believes he has nothing for which to vote. No, no, we are not satisfied, and we will not be satisfied until justice rolls down like waters and righteousness like a mighty stream. I am not unmindful that some of you have come here out of great trials and tribulations. Some of you have come fresh from narrow cells. Some of you have come from areas where your quest for freedom left you battered by the storms of persecution and staggered by the winds of police brutality. You have been the veterans of creative suffering. Continue to work with the faith that unearned suffering is redemptive. Go back to Mississippi, go back to Alabama, go back to South Carolina, go back to Georgia, go back to Louisiana, go back to the slums and ghettos of our northern cities, knowing that somehow this situation can and will be changed. Let us not wallow in the valley of despair.

I say to you today, my friends, that in spite of the difficulties and frustrations of the moment I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream.

I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed "We hold these truths to be self evident, that all men are created equal."

I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slave owners will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood.

I have a dream that one day even the state of Mississippi, a desert state sweltering with the heat of injustice and oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice.

I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.

I have a dream today.

I have a dream that one day the state of Alabama, whose governor's lips are presently dripping with the words of interposition and nullification, will be transformed into a situation where little black boys and black girls will be able to join hands with little white boys and white girls and walk together as sisters and brothers.

I have a dream today.

I have a dream that one day every valley shall be exalted, every hill and mountain shall be made low, and rough places will be made plains, and the crooked places will be made straight, and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together.

This is our hope. This is the faith with which I return to the south. With this faith we will be able to hew out of the mountain of despair a stone of hope. With this faith will be able to transform the jangling discords of our nation into a beautiful symphony of brotherhood. With this faith we will be able to work together, to pray together, to struggle together, to go to jail together, to stand up for freedom together, knowing that we will be free one day.

This will be the day when all of God's children will be able to sing with a new meaning "My country 'tis of thee, sweet land of liberty, of thee I sing. Land where my fathers died, land of the pilgrim's pride, from every mountainside, let freedom ring."

And if America is to be a great nation this must come true. So let freedom ring from the prodigious hilltops of New Hampshire. Let freedom ring from the mighty mountains of New York. Let freedom ring from the heightening Alleghenies of Pennsylvania.

Let freedom ring from the snow capped Rockies of Colorado. Let freedom ring from the curvaceous peaks of California. But not only that let freedom ring from Stone Mountain in Georgia. Let freedom ring from Lookout Mountain of Tennessee. Let freedom ring from every hill and mole hill of Mississippi. From every mountainside, let freedom ring.

When we let freedom ring, when we let it ring from every village and every hamlet, from every state and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of God's children, black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics, will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old Negro spiritual, Free at last! Free at last! Thank God Almighty we are free at last!"

Today that "Bell of Freedom" rang…in a new way.

Monday And Then Some

I wished to write this as there are some new people connected to me and I am a contact with them and for each of you all some of this maybe a repeat but this was my day as well I wanted to indicate my intentions with this blog and how I enjoy it. So here it goes, it's a tad of a repeat but at the same time I wanted to write this and cover some areas that I have no problems in doing with.

Well I am not sure about you but this was a working monday. It's been a day. But Monday's seem to usually be this way. My sister has taken a turn for the worse there are complications that are apparently happening. As well, I hate seeing my folks going through all of this but there is not one thing that I can do. I had one meeting and my hopes are not placed all into one. As during these economic times it's something that has hit here but there are openings within areas that one specializes in and is trained in. So I am going forth with doing all of that with cadence.

In the morning here I got up and started doing one of two things, having a coffee and then taking a brief walk. It's been nice - actually very nice. Then I started doing my search and making calls. Thereafter, I had one meeting which I mentioned, and we shall see what comes from that. As well, I have another tomorrow right at 9am.

On Wednesday, I may have to serve papers to a former friend. As there are some things that came up and I now have to place that to an end. Thereafter I got back home and then after it the day I just layed down and had a rest. So all good things now will come together.

 

Now within this blog here, I know that everyone does things in there own manner and there own way. For those that I have added and those that have recently added me, I am sincere with my blog. To get cover it quickly, I am really am Jack, well John. It's the same thing as William and Bill. I was raised within the US and then I came into Canada when I was 17. My father was there as a diplomat with the North American Air Defence Program. There after I worked throughout Canada within my own speciality leading me eventually back into United States.

Thereafter I came home back some seven years as my father had Cancer. So that is that...I was married and that took a turn for the worse when all this came about.  For a term period I was a caregiver believe it or not as I am appointed as the medical next of kin with my father. Two years ago after six months of several relapses with my father's cancer I was worn out. And I knew that I had to get on with my own life.

I moved to Alberta as I had met up with four friends for a respite in the mountains near the border of the United States and Canada.  At that time I went on to move to Edmonton and I was working while I had a friend that we joint ventured on something and I had calls coming from here back in Saskatoon. So I decided to move back. In doing so, I don't have the problems nor the down times that I had while living with an one old friend whom I may be serving papers to within this week. Pending what the outcome is with something that he has defaulted on.  But most of all I guess I what "Jack" is trying to say is that I have not taking a "U" turn I have gone forward.

It's an enjoyable situation to be able to write your own submission as well as go to other sites. There have been some that I have talked too. As well there are most that I have not. I enjoy this as something that you can just place out your own thoughts - with that said I truly write in an authentic manner. I am not some super egotistic on my blog but you will find that there is always a thread that it all connects in some manner. I think some of you by now realize that - actually for those that do know me, they do understand. It's not all bad and the glass is not half empty, it's rather good regardless of the challenges that one takes within life.

Now and then in a fun manner and don't get me wrong  as starting off as a young kid as being paid part time as a marketing coordinator of a small shopping centre I love the experience of a collaboration. I do belong to one group, but I used to have my own. But there came a time that I knew that you could not do everything in one day. Nor does this sway me away from life. As I am not an isolationist - I am very much too the contrary. This all being said, I do get to blogs as time allows but I can assure you that my intentions are authentic. I can't reach out and touch you nor are we around a table all talking about things. But within the spirit of the dream of thought that do come from people from all different parts of the world. It's something of a sensational vibe. I don't push nor do I shove my thoughts but I lend them within a blend of ~why not~ as within those words each and everyone of us has our own possibilities within life.

The rules of life tend to make up whom we are, but at the same time some are flexible enough to see beyond.  I will write something that is not fiction, and then I love to write with regards to the some of the things that are going on in our lives.

I am very pleased with my decision with what I have done as of today. Certainly we all do have our own dreams. Photography I love so much. But regardless of the economy I am working within my means not my wants. As if that was the case I would have a new camera like right now.

Last but not least, I do wish to thank those of you that have come to be good friends. I don't think that you would find me any differently that what I write. As well, as now and then there is an audio but to set it all up is something that is work. And right now this is about enjoyment.

So this is not a cheap sell of my own persona. It's truly whom I am, and I certainly do appreciate some of the writes and when some are let the walls down on this internet and don't judge. As we all have that significance of things that are happening in our own way.

For myself, I do have some other goals that once I get to a stage I will start. Which will be offline and online as an advocacy. But everything in life is just as it is. Sometimes there are the ups and downs of doing what we all do within our day. For myself balance is that key that allows things to gradually gain rather than the other.

Certainly I am drawn to some more than others, but what unfolds within a collaborative is something that happens when people have that chance and by way of there own means.

I better end this as I wished to do a few things that nowadays many would call only - tags, my tag is life and vantages that I write and others I read. We all do it in our own way. That does not take any extreme religion. As I am a moderate, as some of my pictures do have a regard to faith. But faith is something in which we all do have our own placement. I have never returned to United States since I have left New York. I honestly did work in two places as I was a consultant - one was in the twin towers for a international company and the other was with regards to securities. But what I have found over time. Is that we my offline friends that literally span all over Canada and my old friends from United States that are all scattered all over the Eastern Coast are literally so alike.

Now as I look up I realize that I have wrote so much. But it was done with regards to the new people that have requested to connect and as well the new people I requested to connect with and that all said - it's fun and it's sensational.  It's not life but in this day and age it's a part of life as I know that every person that I know has a computer and it is not without a connection to the internet.

Otherwise we would be using a typewriter.  I really does not matter where we all are from, all that matters is whom we are. Fantasia is not my cup of tea, I enjoy it for what it is and I welcome you and in the words of Martin Luther King, "Peace is not merely a distant goal that we seek, but a means by which we arrive at that goal.” Peace People To Each and Everyone.  There is no mystery in what we write or whom those that by way of our own rights we have the ability to make choices.

If I lived right now in a world of wants - I would be in Washington today but my cousins daughter is...lucky young one doing her masters in Political Science...

Kindly Requiring Anyone's Assistance...

This morning I have been preparing for a meeting tomorrow as I have come back here from Edmonton, I have a meeting tomorrow within the same area that I was working with in Edmonton which is within the Airport Authority. This is just a personal comment. I am very hopeful that all of this will work out and I right now today I will be spending most of my day on the phone as well as sending out my CV, and I can only keep my fingers crossed. For just like you I am a human being.

I do not chat much at all but I certainly do find the time and within a time of transition, during a time in which one would normally feel that they are down on there luck I feel fairly decent - for I am not one nor two people or three, I am one whole, one whole - that is me, I am dedicated within what I do, and I do realize that this is the internet and it keeps ones "chops" keen as well too.

I have seen this done and there is no theme – its thought to leave it open ended as to what one wishes to place and write about. I honestly do enjoy this more than you know and this here is a collaborative I suppose. This is not work this is fun, and I do hope you will join. I hope I am not the only one.

I am connected with several and you out there know I have been over to see you and I do make comments to others blogs so it’s a challenge and fun request we are able to do the things in which we desire. Why not.

And I will post one here that as well, but right now I have just awoke it’s Sunday and I am just taking it easy and hopeful that there will be some participation. This is the beginning...and where it leads to is going to be handled by not a "superhero" but an extrodinarily gifted man whome has a visions, Martin Luther King had a dream, John F. Kennedy had many thoughts,

This is a person that it simply smart and that is what makes up for someone that is humble yet prepared with his agenda - regardless of what has transpired in recent times. For the train does move forward.

I went into a place that I have been to before, I had taken pictures many of times - but now they have security and for some reason they were not on, and I just went in and when I saw this while I was looking around at the various paintings I thought to myself "is this not creative?".

I took it quick as I was not sure when there would be security on and I have to say that it was done very fast. I don't know what a person would call this.

There was a friend of mine there and he indicated to me that they did not allow pictures within the gallery portion any more - but I was in and out the door...


After a Harsh Winters Week...




After the week that took place as it was probably one of the coldest and as well one which there was more snow here than I have ever found. I decided to go back to areas around the University Campus, as well then over to the Mendal Art Gallery.

So after breakfast, I went out to see what there could be done here in the morning. It's nice outside and hopefully it shall stay that way from now and for a while.

~ A Return To the Traditional First Visit ~

Unlike President Bush, when President Borrack Obama takes his the white house office he will be following a tradition that has gone on for years between the United States and Canada. He is making his first visit to meet with the Canadian Prime Minister...

The date has not been disclosed for obvious security reasons but he is following what so most other Presidents did in the past. There has always been a relationship between these two countries and seemingly Obama is following some of the things that are traditional and most Canadians do support him more than our own Prime Minister.

If only we could go back in time and Prime Minister Pierre E. Trudeau was around at this time.

As in many ways he was much like Obama in the way that he thought. But Trudeau has passed away and has not been the Prime Minister for a long time. In earlier times he was Prime Minister he was a professor and he traveled the most of the world. He was very contrary to what the status quo was for a leader or any person in a political position and within Canada and Internationally some loved him and some hated him. But after when he left office and after many years had passed to this day many Canadians see Trudeau as more that just a past leader of Canada. He was one that did many great things.  I would dare to say that he spoke as he saw it. And as he was an atypical leader he created a society that stands for what it has evolved to today.
So often socialized people equate to being like a communist. However, a socialized country such as Canada has many similar values within it. Our two countries have had a huge history behind them. But when it came down to what took place with the last eight years most Canadians along with the government of Canada did not agree with the agenda of Washington. Ironically, we have had the same problems in a different manner
than the economy of the United States.

Capitalization is a good thing but as we see it took a whammy on every country. I realize that George Bush is leaving and now making his apologies to the people of within the United States, but there are so many things that he did with Canada that when Borrack came to the scene there was more hope with someone new, as I dare to say that we have never internalized our economic values. Nor within our military we have never wavered from what we saw as right. I don't think George is going to becoming to Canada, he is too busy in trying to leave the Oval Office with some dignity. I just wished that he would have spoke in such a normal manner as he has been recently.

As before President Bush was probably faced with less than what President Elect Obama has right now seems to be doing it much differently that George and Dick. I never believed in Guatanamo Bay, and when you have a Geneva entity you would think that the law would be followed.  How many innocent people some which are Canadians have been placed in there just due to racial profiling and our government has petitioned for justice and to at least bring them back into our own country andbe placed on trail.

Which leads me to a friend I have here in the city that I live. He is from Iraq and I met him just yesterday morning before I had the problems with my car. He married a Canadian woman and has three children. He had to wait for five years before gaining allowance into Canada - so we do have a system that you cannot easily get into Canada but if you wish to reside in Canada and do the appropriate measures and pass all the security checks - you will have entry into Canada. I really did not know how hard it was to be a Canadian.
So Wajid lived all his life in Iraq and I asked him about all that went and was going on in the Middle East, you could tell by the way he looked that it was not good. He has lived here for 8 years ironically he got in right around the time that security was just starting to make a big change. His feel on the Middle East was not against the people but he indicated that he would never go back in his lifetime. I think that says something to those of us that do live in a country that does have a democratic value.

This all said I am so looking forward to the transition without high expectations.  I am certainly proud - yeah I said it, proud that Obama is coming here not based on telling Canada what to do, but to have his first discussions. Canada is not better than the United States nor is any nation better than another. These are the times that I believe a man that was a movement within his campaign will not please nor keep every promise, but I think that he will bring about an imprint. I will dare to say that for the first week after he takes office, we may see the all trading markets around the world go up...

We have so many things that are happening and this is my own thoughts with regards and from a ordinary person that has had the opportunity to live in both countries.

From my view point I believe that were there is a will there is a way. Not just between two countries but by the means of several. I am glad that there is such a person that has come along at this time. And the statue of liberty - that lady looks across the horizon and stands proud. As she came from France but certainly is American and has seen many things transpire over her time....

As for George W. Bush, I think what he is doing now he should have done when he was in office. If you notice, he is more personable in comparison to the manner he held himself as during most of his time within his Presidency. At least he is saying it the way it is and I think that is giving him some resolve. But I think that the people come first and the leader does have too make hard decisions regardless of whom it is, but when you have to apologize for so many things....I don't know what to say about that....

There is always hope!

 

How I Blog...

I will come on and read a few blogs and think about all that has transpired within my day and then I will click the computer off and think on one of a few writings and then I think about what I want to write about. And then I come back.

This is that time....And I will be back with regards to something I have seen a few that are very thought provoking and each one of us writes on different things and then after I step outside or get away from the computer - something always comes to me. I am thinking about Obama, the economy and Gaza, but I know that to truly write something that is not just based on myself, I enjoy writing on what I have been thinking about or what has happened within the day. I never waiver from that - with the exception of a Utube now and then that is fitting.
