We Got the Snow

A few days ago I was in a certain town named Drumheller. Drumheller that is near the border of Canada and the USA was the warmest place in the country yesterday. From what is 20c they changed within 10 hours to being the same as where I am. The town is 3 hours from here if you take the backroads. I am not sure how this is but we have had very nice weather since today. In fact I think that all are taken by surprise with it all as in one day we went so drastically to a neutral climate to a very cold one. Now I can say snow!

I went to get some pictures without travelling all the way downtown, and the one thing that I noticed is that I think everyone associated snow with the season. As there are not many lights around. And what is Christmas without lights.

As well as I changed into different clothes I thought that it was not that bad. But yes it was when I opened the door to the garage, the wind had opened the garage door.

There are some of you that I have sent cards out too and those of you have know me for some time. So hopefully they all will arrive before December 24.

  1. I like to LOOK at the snow, and sometimes play in it but the novelty wears off quickly. Still it IS better than the almost constant rain we have here in the winter............

  2. I like it as I recall back in NY. You had it for two months and it was not that cold! :)
We have had actually very nice weather here. Then effectively today it took a drastic change. I ponder how people like my grandparents that immigrated here to the US and as well to Australia and Canada - how did they adapt to this weather. Just my thoughts...Rain is good!
We never said the "S" word but today and tonight I can certainly say that. In January I am off to another land...for a week and then back...

  4. I loved it when I was in Florida and people would talk about going to Canada for Christmas. Yeah that is a great idea as I recall. A trip to see winter and then be right back within the sun and beaches....:)

  5. Yep - that's why living in Southern California was great! You could drive to the mountains in 2 hours or go to the beach --20 minutes--if you lived in L.A. or San Diego!. Good times......I wish I could afford to move back............

  6. I have never been to California I have a cousin that lives there in Anaheim, but I have only lived on the east coast of America. And loved it...
I bet you shopped at a place called Horton's Plaza? It was a great development, I am not sure if it sill stands.

  7. When the time is right I will move back either to the East Coast or I will retire in Latin America. For right now I have been back here in Canada for several years. At some point I shall do one of the other.
Meanwhile this is the ground I live and I do love western Canada. And it's not a terrible country. I just took a path that when George, I knew this was one of the safest economically in the world. And as well, I was born here, so I am canadian but I was in the USA two weeks after that..and then I went back and I loved it, but perhaps I will return there as I have great friends there from real life (meaning not online)...and one day at a time. It works for me right now.
I can assure you I love two countries very much. Canada and the US.

  8. I liked living in Florida more than the North--brrr is right and last year we has 96" of snow. (I was gone for a month so missed some) Yuk

All seasons have their beauty but I do like the outdoors and winter does hamper that a bit. Yet alone the ton of clothes. I do like some winter sports and hot chocolate and soup etc. I try to like these harsh winters but I miss having the pool in Florida when ever I wanted.

They say most of our storms last year came from a Canadian front---so please this year will your close your South windows.

  9. The weather for Florida come from the Atlantic by the time that the jet stream gets from Montreal or the eastern side of Canada it will reach Maryland at best and then dwindle down. They say that but the reality is that Florida never gets any climate from Canada. What you get if from the Atlantic Ocean.
But I have been there and I like the idea of no winter. Here now most are all wrapped up in warm clothing.

  10. G'day Jack,
Well all I can say is you are welcome to the snow, I even find looking at all the postings on here of the beautiful winter scenes very chilling, but you do sound all cosy & warm but I won't be visiting, I think I will just stay here & wait for the sun that hasn't appeared yet even though we are in the 2nd day of summer. lol

  11. I just had a talked with someone that is truly amazing. It amazes me right to this day what can come about by way of being authentic. I had a call from Arizona, that was amazing. I think that when there is the ability to talk, then people realize whom you are.

I did not wish to keep on this topic but there are some real people out there that are truly amazing. It's not about romance it's just about the share of thoughts. Now that is truly something that amazes me. Some want to know whom I am and I am cautious with that. But with the person I just spoke with. It's something amazing how much there is in common.
And I don't do that often. But now and then within the spirit of the times and in life itself you have to ask yourself - why not.
Your summers are something to be desired...

  14. Not much bothers me. I am not that proud, I have done thing to some that have been impacted including a few in different countries. So I feel fine in my own shoes...
Some can do things and some play games, but no one will change anything on here.
I know more that 100 people on here and I am not saying that as a posture.....those that know me and understand the song would know what I would be taking about.
I am authentic with the exception that the utube is only based on the merits of the words.
This is the time to enjoy things most especially I would think.

  15. Muzzy stop feeding off my blog at this time as I have one month to enjoy this along with others....No more feeds....search and look for the authentic and present yourself as you have in the past. Friendship advice...

  16. A great night off and on and maybe some of you really like to knock a guy down. Just a few. My answer to that is take it somewhere else as this has been a great blog and sharing field.

I really dont wish to have this while it's this time of year. Get offline and take it to someone in your life and see if that works.

To those that are authentic and are in the spirit of the holidays or otherwise. We shall see you on the flipside...
