Just a Fine Day

Today went very well as I was in need of a hair cut there is something to having a hair cut when you pay the same price as those whom have more hair.  You would think that the less you have the lest the cost.  But it’s that is the manner that it goes.  There after I had went to the hospital here and met with the head of a department for a meeting and very casual interview.  This went very well.  There after I called and emailed my references and then went to the RCMP detachment.  No one was there as I had a document to hand over to them yet I shall take it over tomorrow.  So this does look very promising and the weather has certainly took on a change and while discussing things and taking a tour of the hospital it was all within a leisurely way.  I have always been used to a conservative manner yet it seems that things are very leisurely.

All in all it was a pleasant day and there are days which you come to learn that life is not perfect but the scope of which you look at it is within that of your own perceptions.  I am more than pleased with how this week has is turning out through although there are the challenges which do come along.

There is something to be said to the things that come one’s way in an order that gives way to the values of that which is good.  One day does lead into another perhaps there is a value in the manner of how things happen and turn out. Each day is part of a journey.  As when areas open up, there are it reinforces the values of what one believes in. Sometimes the smallest things can render the upmost.  While heading to the hospital I spoke to a lady who was riding here bike and I asked here about this other public gym.  She indicated the name of the person and then we just had a simple discussion.  Nothing more and nothing less but there is something to be said for the people that one does meet.  As yesterday within the city of which I live everyone was in such a rush.  There certainly is no rush here within this town.  I kinda like that, yet there is apart of me which does love the city.  Yet at this point within the game I don’t mind this town rather I have come to be accustomed to it.  As I was discussing with the head of this department within the hospital, she had mentioned how she used to live in a small town that I had been posted to some years back and for a province which is the size of Texas, it’s a small world.

  1. It does seem like a small world when one gets around as much as you do. It also sounds like you had a good day. I wish you many more good days my friend.

  4. We've found a lifestyle of leisure in rural areas. Shopping trips are better planned so there is less rushing and hurry -- except for parents of school age children. They are always busy!!

  5. Frani I have live in many places but this is as small as it gets and I today was a good busy and I find when least expected things do seem to go the right way. I just finished having four references from a variety of people. Hence one thing can turn the page to that of good.

  6. Elaine, It is and forward is life one has a choice of either to stagnate or step within that path of life regardless of where one is. As the one thing I do love is people. Here it is the smallest place I have ever lived for a period of time. Yet hold on to those which are life long friends and embrace those within the future as well as presant.

  7. I have Caroline - people are people regardless of where they come from. What I found unique today was
    the common grounds.

  9. Grammy I love the subways of Quebec, I love the buildings and culture of cities such as New York, Saskatoon, Syracuse, and then towns are something which are slower paced yet as you say all places are rather busy in
this era of where the internet has gone or going. Yet, my hair is getting .........shhhhorter as time goes on and
I still pay the same price of 20 buck - I would think that a rebate is deserved. :)

  10. Yeah Tee, you know why and there are good things that go with it and then yesterday when I saw Saskatoon, while I drove in, I came to realize how I have been apart of it's landscape as well as been on nearly every building - but photography is merely a hobby now. No pun intended but I have covered allot of land for a person of my age.
Yet I feel that is a plus, and this is a temperary time which certainly can be a place where one can be innovative.
    I truly mean that.

Yet I do wish to travel after this term, and see new places as I love culture.

  16. My daughter was commenting in the car the other day about how there are always cars on the road. I said yes, we live in the city and there's always people having to drive somewhere. It is nice when those days come when there are not alot of cars on the streets. Anyway, your post made me think about that conversation with my daughter. I think I might want to visit Canada someday.

  17. I prefer a medium size city. Places to go and not getting bored. More competition for better prices, but less traffic to deal with. Glad to hear you had a good day Jack.

  19. Susan, I don't think there is that much that you would find different, this eve I was speaking with a friend from Indonesia which came here
with a mission group. She was asking me what is the difference between Canada and United States and the discussion went on for some time.
But making a long story short in my travels I have not experienced as much of a difference between these two countries as far as people go.
America has internal differences from some states to others - and within Canada there are differences from one province to another. Again
today I was asked where I am from. Believe you me there are cities here which are a hustle and bustle, I have found within my experience
that western Canada is much like the areas of America I have lived in. However where I am right now is a rather small town - the smallest I have
ever lived in. Right across the street is a family which live here and are from South Dakota and the only thing which is different is the 49 parallel.

  20. Tee this is what I love about Saskatoon, but right now it's the fastest growing city and even the city planners never thought that what now is defined as a ongoing huge boom - it's swaying to be a huge city. There was a time where it grew incrementally yet now it's literally the fastest growning city of 230,000 people with a projection of being 300,000 within two years. By the way I read within the newspaper this moring of how Syracuse lost the last basketball game.
Saskatoon was always considered a city and town and as I mentioned earlier, when I went into Saskatoon from here - while I was entering into the city I could see that I have literally been within every area. Now that the climate has began to get warm it was nice to place the winter clothes away and to just throw on a pair of jeans and a light jacket. But there is no Target, JCPenny, Sears, Walmart, and my favorite - McNally's Bookstore.
Yet as the saying goes eutopia is under the feet.
