"One day we must come to see that peace is not merely a distant goal we seek, but that it is a means bywhich we arrive at that goal. We must pursue peaceful ends through peaceful means." Dr. Martin Luther King

  1. Am a peace loving citizen of my country Philippines, and as am getting older by days, the totality of that so called Global peace isn't attained yet. I hope we all come to that harmonious unity where we can all laugh and smiles and shake hands with a straight face and a loving gestures, Jack

  2. Dr. King was a very smart man. Truer words were never spoken.

I wonder where we would be in the matter of race relations, had he not been assassinated. Quite a bit further along, I would think. But it's useless to dream of what isn't. It's just too bad there wasn't another Afican American who could have picked up where he left off, peacefully. Brilliant topic, Jack.

One of my favorite sayings (don't know who said it,originally) is:
"Wisdom denotes the pursuing of the best ends by the best means"
